It was a wonderful 7 day-stay at the inn, a comfortable place to relax at the end of the day. There is a lot of thought put into designing the inn by the boss, ensuring that the guests has a clean and spacious place to rest. The boss and his staff are very friendly and hospitable and offer good suggestions of sights to see and food to taste in the area. The breakfast at the inn is vegetarian cooked by the boss. Sometimes when the guest number is small, we get to taste the local food from the market and the street stalls. All in all, the week stay allowed us to enjoy and feel the heart beat of Jiji and the surrounding areas.

With the young couple being the innkeepers, this warm and relaxing home-like hotel did make our stay wonderful. Spacious rooms and luxury interior design made me feel like I went to a relaxing village somewhere in South-eastern Asia. I wonder how could it be possible for enjoying a five-star quality room and service with such an cheap rate. To conclude, this hotel is highly recommended to everyone who are heading Jiji for a relaxing journey.

I was travelled to Jiji town with my friend on November. Upon arrival at the place, hosts was not in the building because they were doing business at shop, but they came over the place very soon after we called them. We got a very warm welcome from a lady, she let us to leave the luggages in the room although it was still not the time for check-in. She introduced and explained all the usage of all facilities in detailed to us. Our room was the cheapest rate one, yet we felt that the room was spacious and clean. There was complete amenities provided such as towels, toothbrush, hair dryer and etc. The hostel was operating by a family. We have a good conversation with them over the night at the lobby. They introduced all the famous tourist spots in Taiwan to us. Besides, they also provided charter service with reasonable price. Furthermore, breakfast is prepared and ready served for you in the morning. The location of the hostel is nearby the train station with just 10 minutes walk. There is also covenience store nearby the hostel. If you are travelling to Jiji town, Yuan bed would be a good option for you.

Location - 15 minutes walk from the Jiji Railway Station (with Luggage) Host - very welcoming, acccommodating. Although he was tad "loud". It was just his nature. He is more than happy to help with renting motorcycles and other things. Room - large, with great view of mountain and the farm. Bathroom - large. clean. But design bit awkward. There was a bathtub, no shower curtain. So floor will get wait. I guess this is the Taiwan way, that foreign guests must get used to. It was not an issue, but just awkward. Breakfast - Taiwan porridge is the staple, plus toasts and coffee. Host will make eggs and local vegetables (seasonal, which is fantastic). Note - the bathroom, floor of the room will all be cleaned and tidied. Trash in your room will be cleared. But the bed will not be made. This is NOT an issue, but we only realized this the next day (we stayed for 4 days 3 nights). If we go back to Jiji or Nantou, will definitely stay here again. The B&B is 3 years old and well maintained (December 2015).

Host is an artist by profession which explains the paintings everywhere in the common area. However, what makes this place unique Is definitely the host's passion to connect with people. It was my first experience in backpackers and I will strongly recommend solo travelers to have a go at this if you're looking beyond just having a bed to sleep. Host will urge you to do 3 assignments which will then be used for share and tell at night with the other occupants. Although host can be a little naggy, the sharing indeed brought everyone closer by heart's distance. Really a unique place to experience the locals' friendliness.

Beautiful first experience in a homestay. House Lady and family were very warm and welcoming. Helped us with everything we needed. With my son having allergies, she was very accommodating and allowed us to use her kitchen to cook his meals. Our kids felt the warmth like home. We will definitely stay here if we revisit central Taiwan. The house is central and walking distance to the railway station, shopping, eating places, and sites in the area.

It was fine, staff are friendly and helpful, the place is around 10mins walk from the station, if you are carrying a lot of luggages , then it might be a little bit hard for you on your way to the place, the boss drove me to the station when I check out though. Best way to travel jiji is by cycling, so if you are renting a bike, the 10mins walk should not be a problem. Breakfast is good, I thought the B&B would make it themselves but turns out they order takeaways. A cockroach was on my bed, but the room was clean, so I hope it is some exceptional case and came from from outside.

The owner actually drove to pick us up, and brought us to the area nearby to buy some dinner. Because the farm homestay is up a hill, it would be necessary to buy your own food before heading back to the homestay farm. If you have your own car or are able to rent a motorbike (you would have to have a license), it is not too far from the Sun Moon Lake. If you are heading back to the farm after sunset, you might have to take extra caution riding up the hill though, because there are quite a few twists and turns. After arriving at the farm, the owner brought us to see the rabbits and allowed us to feed and even carry them. There were also goats and chickens on the farm. On our first night, the owner took us out to see a sea of lights at the dragon fruit plantation on the farm, followed by star gazing at the open area above the barbecue area, which was really beautiful. The farm owner is an old uncle who is really friendly and fatherly, and really eager to show us his old but treasured possessions. Among some of the things he showed us, was a few-decade-old music tape and vinyl disc player (still in working condition). The main restaurant and entertainment area is simple, but with a mini pool table, karaoke, among a few other things. Breakfast is prepared by the staff every morning, and the staff were nice enough to even ask if we wanted other breakfast options that the boss could buy. Breakfast included vegetables, eggs, and also toast with tangerine jam made by the owner. Drinks wise, you can choose from hot coffee, or hot tangerine drink. The owner would play music from the player, and the sound quality was as good as live. Just behind the restaurant block, is an area where you can have a stone barbecue session too. The bungalow is rather spacious, and with a water dispenser, television, computer, hair dryer, and refrigerator. Outside the room, is a veranda, and the staff would also come by in the evening to light mosquito coils.
