Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa by Prabhu

"We came to stay for 3 nights but ended up with 5 because we liked it so much. We came to the soft opening so there was still some construction work going on but it didn't bother us. When it is finished it will be an excellent hotel in Jimbaran. Pool is nice, very clean. They are also building a roof top bar which has beautiful views and amazing sunset. One unique feature is the balcony with deep soaking bathtub, highly recommended! The staffs were very friendly, helpful and professional and made our overall stay terrific. Really recommend for those who want to stay in Jimbaran Bay!"

"Location wise, Jimbaran is away from the hustle and bustle of the heart of Bali that is Kuta and Seminyak. So if you want a quaint and quiet holiday, Jimbaran is a nice location you could consider. If you are a hotel/beach/pool bum and all you want is a nice resort to relax in, then Rimba at Jimbaran is a lovely place to consider. We booked the Hillside units but were very generously upgraded to a poolside unit, the perfect start to our holiday. Rooms were clean and very well furnished we barely wanted to leave the room. The only downside was the presence of mosquitoes in our unit. Apart from that, the food in the resort (we ate thrice at To'ge, had snacks at Unique and order room service for dinner once all in our 4d3n stay) and the other facilities that are available (plenty of pools) make Rimba a lovely place for people who want a quiet resort vacation! Staff are very detailed and friendly and i would highly recommend this place!"

"This is a new and perfect holiday hotel. The rooms (we had a junior suite) are really well appointed and spotless. The staff are genuinely friendly and very attentive. Food and beverage are reasonably priced for this type of hotel. We will definitely return. Only gave it 4 for location as it is not of the beach. Also only 4 for facilities but that is to put it in perspective because some hotels offer more. However, best part of Jimbaran Beach is only a couple of hundred metres away along a safe and clean walkway, the gardens bearing in mind that they are new are magic, the pool is great, the roof top bar overlooks Jimbaran Bay and the distant airport. Frankly, I think that whoever conceived this hotel has managed to tick all the boxes and the current management have put the cherry on the cake."

More about Jimbaran

Jimbaran occupies the southern peninsula of Bali, and it’s a popular first stop for tourists due to its proximity to the airport. Accommodation in Jimbaran includes a few phenomenal luxury resorts that are overflowing with posh amenities. Tourists enjoy ample facilities without giving up the seclusion that makes Bali such a popular holiday escape.

Daily life centers on crescent-shaped Jimbaran Beach, where the best resorts are found. Guest spend most of the day sunbathing, swimming, or playing 18 holes at Pecatu golf course. Meanwhile, the water sports are farther south down the Bukit Peninsula. Surfing and paragliding are particularly popular along this stretch of coastline.

Bali’s biggest traditional fish market is north of the main beach area. Jimbaran has a reputation for seafood, and dozens of cafés and restaurants serve up the day’s fresh catch on the outskirts of Jimbaran market. Of all the seafood restaurants in Jimbaran, Dava enjoys the most critical acclaim.

The main off-beach attraction in Jimbaran is Garuda Wisnu Kencana, a cultural park dominated by a 23-meter limestone carving of the deity Vishnu. Garuda, the mythical bird that he rides, was also carved from a limestone cliff here. The complex includes restaurants and an amphitheater that hosts cultural exhibitions.

Jimbaran doesn’t have as much for shoppers as other resorts on Bali, but it is well-known for ceramics. Jenggala Gallery (on Jalan Uluwatu) displays high-quality ceramics that can be admired or taken home as gifts. Surf shops and a few other boutiques are in the same area.

While most of the hotels in Jimbaran are exclusive and expensive, it’s still possible to find mid-range accommodation. Some of these still offer excellent amenities, but they sacrifice location to keep prices down. The best selection of mid-range accommodation is along Jalan Uluwatu or near the Honorary Consulate of Italy.
