Location is very good!”
Location is very good!
well within the expectation for money I have paid”
The room (bussines D) was rather small, but all right for one person. The space for clothes (rack with ca. 4 coat-hangers + small low chest) was not large, yet more less sufficient (I brought some coat-hangers of my own). I was missing the fridge. The bathroom with a shower is spacy. The staff was quite nice (I did not try to speak English though). Many small ordinary resturants nearby, a small supermarket etc. ECNU gate is less than 10 minutes walk. The hotel is very close to the subway (pink line; while the entrance to the yellow and violet line is somewhat further away). If you need to get to line 2 (green) Zhongshan gongyuan, it is more pleasant to take the bus 67 - just 2 stops (the bus stop is near the ECNU gate - on your RIGHT hand), as changing the subway lines means a long distance run. The shopping center Globar Harbor is stunning (you can find clean toilets there :-)
Stay in JinJiang Inn 16-22 July 2016”
I agree with Madhavan. Having it just beside the Jinshajiang Road Metro station and within walking distance of ECNU was the best thing about this hotel. The next important consideration was affordability -- it was priced just right. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Unfortunately I only got a view of the central shaft of the hotel. Some things that could have been better are a cupboard instead of hooks and hangers on the wall for clothes and some stronger coffee from "In the Room".
Hotel was fine”
Rooms worked and had everything we needed for the price. We sadly had a double room but it was tiny compairedwith our friends twin. It was very clean and serviced every day. Breakfast was Chinese food, well cooked and cheap and you could have as much as you wanted. Main lobby is underbuilding work the moment. There was no place to sit and gather with friends to chat or play a game/cards. There was no restaurant butno shortage of places to eat locally. It was vwr safe, we left lots in the roon, the staff were helpful and polite but no English is spoken. Great clean hotel for the price.
Checking in was a quick process. 200RMB deposit required on the room. Room was clean and couldn't ask for much more with the price we paid. Close to the great street food outside as well. Also close to the dirt cheap Metro. They say that you get free internet, which is actually just an ethernet cable. I use a smart phone so Wi-Fi would have been ideal. WiFi in Shanghai is scarce at this moment anyway I guess.
A well-located hotel, near the subway, East China Normal University, Convenience store. The staff is friendly. The regret was that the room was smaller than expected there was no coffee.
Very simple , but is good for business trip.”
Good and value for money .
poor and Spartan”
trouble checking in. gave me a bad small old room. not worth it at all
Location is good”
Room is small, not for fussy traveller. The bathroom is pretty rundown, but the room matches the price. Location is good for where I need to be and very close to the subway.
pros: - very close from mtr station - stable ethernet connection - staff are helpful - price is suitable - not much noise cons: - weak wifi connection - not very close to convenient stores
WIFI is so slow but serves is good
Value for money”
The whole place and service needs to be improved!”
The service people at the desk are not friendly. The food is terrible. The utensils are oily and the tables are dirty! The room is small and air is stuffy. The towels are old and torn. The air conditioner is filthy, which needs to be cleaned!
Clean and eifficient, but basic”
The hotel is clean, and the staff are efficient, though their English is minimal. The rooms are small, but neat and have all essentials. One thing I missed was storage space to unpack my suitcase. Otherwise, it was fine for one person, but would have been cramped for two. Thw walls are a bit thin so you do hear noises from the corridors, but this did not happen often. Though it faces an elevated highway, the rooms are set back and I did not hear any traffic noise. There is a restaurant where I ate dinner the first night. I was the only diner and there was only one choice offered. There are plenty of low budget eating places down the road, opposite the East China Normal University gate. Overall, it is good value for money, but not luxurious by any means!
Good for the price and university location”
I stayed for business at the university. If you don't have anything to do at the university and just want to sightsee, it would be better to stay somewhere nearer the attractions you want to visit. However for me the stay was great. For around $30 a night I got a 2 twin bed room which was a fairly good size. Staff didn't speak English but I had someone with me who spoke Chinese. Room was cleaned daily - however sheets were not changed. Sometimes towels were changed and garbage was retrieved, but floors and shower room were not cleaned. Smoking is allowed in all rooms. Front desk is open all night long, and they didn't care that I checked in way past midnight because of a flight delay. It's right next to the metro which was great, and the university entrance (and a bus stop) was about a 7 minute walk away. Lots of street food nearby, and a "foreigner" bar James is right next door. A giant shopping center is right next door too, called Global Harbor. Overall it was a good stay for the money.
Great Location but tiny room”
It is probably the best option if you are visiting your friend or family nearby. It's like 10 seconds walk to the subway. It's one stop away from Zhongshan Park Station, where you can find a lot of great restaurants and shopping malls. We would go there for Sunday Brunch. The hotel is also super close to Global Harbor, a huge shopping mall where you can have decent not so pricy chinese food.
poor language skill... ”
The inn is comfortable if you choose good room. I hated when any of the staff couldn't speak in English. We had fight often about the room condition. Finally, we got the non-smelly room and comfortable. My friend and I shared Single A room for 11 days. First few days we complained a lot but later on... we got used to it.
Be informed ”
Great location to experience early Beijing. Probably should consider another location if you want access to basic kitchen utinsels and want a soft mattress.
