"As a venue, Jia Xin cannot be beat. A lovely, quiet place for a restful getaway. Better to rent a car because taxis are few and far between, and the bus only runs on the hour from twenty minutes down the hill. Extremely helpful and friendly staff didn't speak any English, but they smilingly did their best to communicate. Hotel breakfast and dinner were adequate and brought to the guest room instead of served in the public dining room. Pictures of the guest rooms were spot on. Views do not disappoint, even in the rain."

"can imagine this place used to be gorgeous at its prime. view of the beach and ocean was beautiful. However, the place is run down. the in-room tub was filthy so we didnt use it. the public baths were cleaner and are cleaned regularly. the scented baths are nice and inviting. some if the staff were very friendly and accommodating while one or two came across as hostile. breakfast spread seemed like left overs from long ago. far from the old street (20 minute, mostly uphill walk) but there is a bus stop nearby."

"A location for hiking, birding, taking in the rain forest atmostphere, fauna & wild flowers, rest, relaxation, steam saunaing, and HOT SPRINGING. This hotel is within national park area, own by a very benevolent matriach, run by family members, English and Vietnamese speakers onsite. Amazing property, terraced into hotel, outdoor pool and hot springs, indoor hotsprings for males, females, couples, steam sauna, open party ground, etc. Family live onsite. Grounds are well maintained. Hotel rooms can use some updates, but doable, clean, simple, each has window and fresh air. Breakfast are simple Taiwan dishes, taste good. No western dishes. Has onsite cook/restaurant. Tiny walk to public bus for a short ride to town Jinshan or Taipei, or hiking trail heads. What we like the most is it feels like home. You can seat outdoor, sipping coffee in morning and taking in the fog cool mountain air. We will be back to this place."

Breakfast was stanard, no surprise. It was good all in all. will consider going back if we ever visit Jinshan again."

"It is at the East of Yangmingshan, 15 mins away from Jingshan district post office. About 45 mins by the hotel shuttle from Nanghong RAIL station, or about 40 minutes by taxi from Keelung. Strongly suggest taking their shuttle or taxi/uber to go there, if you take bus you will regret it. The area there is very humid, windy and cool (Nov 2018). They service is good. We almost missed their breakfast since we slept over but they called us anyway and reminded us. Our room is clean and big. It has a lot of electric sockets (big surprise). High quality shampoo and body wash. I suggest they should have a dehumidifier in each room. Although the air-con has this function, obviously not enough for a big room. The food there is alright, not too great, not too bad. The no-menu(chef pick) one seems too pricey. Weekend might be crowd at the restaurant, because local people would come for dinner. "
