A Strange But Pleasant Hotel
The location is great, right in the middle of ChanCheng (the noodle shop directly opposite was wonderful). The rooms are pretty good with interesting decoration (although the air-con wasn't great). The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were a couple of strange things though: The Restaurant - They have a restaurant, it's very pretty but they don't seem to serve food in there at all. I saw a few people eating takeaways in there but that's it. The Laundry Service - They have one but they told us that they wouldn't wash any underwear.

A hotel of ancient look with modern comfort
clean, comfort and easy access to places.
A worth and comfortable hotel to stay with the price. The staffs are friendly and willing to give direction when asked. The only minor complaint is the bath area, is too small, very hard to turn the body when bathing, need to upgrade little more space will be ok.

No complaint whatsoever.
The very classic traditional cultural outfits on the over all interior decoration, and the display of a vast collection of artifacts and paintings which may or may not be antiques.
I was given a standard room at the end of the corridor, which may be far off from other superior rooms usually preferred by rowdy locals, be they wealthy businessmen or other literates. I felt totally comfortable with that, not bothered by anyone, not even the housekeeping. What a great idea of the hotel owner, who I believe is very wealthy and has a great inventory of collectible artifacts, including the bed, writing table, shelf, tea table and chairs, to display them all over the interior. It is indeed very rarely one can find another one like this. The only complaint I have is the missing of shower curtain in the bath. The floor towel is already wet when it is meant for drying the wet feet.
