Find hotels near Jiu Fen in Taipei, Taiwan

We went on a weekend and managed to get into Jiu Fen in less than an hour by uber. The drivers said that we were fortunate to get into Jiu Fen in an hour, as the traffic jams up the hill can last up to 4-5 hours recently. There were alot of mainland tourists and the streets were EXTREMELY crowded during the weekend. This is important to note because Chiu Chunt Dint Inn is located along the streets of Jiu Fen (you have to enter by the old street main entrance near 7 eleven/bus stop) and if you have luggages, it will mean that you have to lug it in the heavy crowd. We chose the sea view room which was located on the 6th floor (the highest) and the inn does not have lift, so take note that you will have to carry your bags up the flights of stairs. The room is really comfortable for both summer and winter due to the aircon functions available, and location is perfect right in the middle of the old street.

Delightfully surprised at how well maintained the hotel was, and how artistically designed it was. In the midst of the drab surroundings, Ample Villa stands a class above the rest. As was the intention of the owner, Ample Villa was meant to delight the senses, provide the romantic ambiance for couples and a relaxing feel to the occupants. The view from our room oversees the ocean, and we could hear the sound of the waves crashing against the shores. The only drawback to Ample Villa was its distance from the Jiufen Old Street, which will take about 15mins and NT$300 to get there by taxi. However, it is walking distance (15mins) from the golden waterfalls and the museum. 2 stars is definitely underrated for this paradise in Jiufen. Will definitely return if we go back to visit, and would recommend Ample Villa to any couples looking for a romantic and relaxing retreat. Thanks Ample Villa!

We stayed here for 1 night. Location was good. DO NOT follow Google Map's directions and get off at DaGan Lin bus stop - you will have to climb over a hundred steps up the steep slopes. Drop at the 711 at Jiu Fen Old Street and walk! Experience - Quiet corner from busy Jiufen Old Street, even though shops close around 7 - breakfast was hearty and simple, nothing fantastic. Toast, salty ham, corn soup (on a rainy day). - room was aeathetically Instagram worthy and romantic - windows can be opened with bug shield. Meant for you to be silent and listen to the Mountain's Echoes (hence 山听） - shower was impossible to get the right temperature. Either too hot or too warm - toilet has no ventilation - 1 poop and whole room smells - room has a very low support beam between basin and bed, my partner and I had to duck under (it's about 1.75m) - many insects at night. Borrow an electric repellent from counter for 200 NT deposit - stairwell to room is metal and noisy, disturbs everyone

The host was super helpful: 1. we couldn't find the place and when I called him, he gave me his Line account and sent me a step by step instruction via pictures on how to get there. 2. Once there, he did not have other guests and instead of the shared bathroom option we had booked, he upgraded us to the room with a bathroom in it. for free! 3. He proactively offered tips on where to go for best views and places to eat. We ate taro balls at 3 different places in Jiu fen and his 'locals' recommendation was tied for #1. 4. Delicious breakfast from Keelung! He bought yummy breakfast sandwiches for us and left it to our room and instead of knocking on the door, he left a message on "Line" to let us know it has arrived and to eat it sooner rather than later. The location is amazing - inside the old street of Jiufen. We ventured out after all the tourists have left and it was wonderful to be able to explore the narrow alleys by ourselves.

We were impressed by the beautiful interior and exterior design of Chien Ching B&B II. The owner paid attention to every single detail in it. The wooden furniture and decorations are unique. As the B&B only have 3 rooms, we feel full of privacy. The room is very spacious, with enough lights to warm us up in the cold rainy Jiu Fen. For 4 person room, there is a cozy wooden floor corner with glass, we can admire the scenery while having hot coffee there. (The instant coffee they provided taste good!). My 3 & 5 years old love to play there too. Bed &pillows are clean and confortable. They put introduction flyers of places of interest nearby on the table too. Umbrellas are also provided. How considered! Location wise, taxi can be stopped just nearby, still some staircase need to climb. Owner and son are very helpful, they lead taxi driver to place which we doesn't have to walk much & help us to take our luggage to the room. It is very very near to the old Ji Shan street, and there is actually a shortcut from Ah Mei Tea House to the B&B too. Breakfast cooked by owner's wife, a very friendly lady, at another place nearby, which is also a beautiful decorated cottage with long wooden table and bench. Breakfast consists of various authentic Taiwan food & Chinese tea, healthy breakfast, personally love the taste of yam so much. There are cats around, which are tame and smart! Due to our flight is late and with kids, owner allow us to move to an empty room to shower the kids and put our luggage in before leave. We are so thankful for the kindness. The family had fully shown the hospitality of people in Taiwan. Such a relaxing place. This B&B is definately one of the reason for us to come back again! We wish we can stay for more days here!

The hotel is very exquisitely designed and extremely well maintained by the housekeepers. The breakfast is very healthy, delicious and Instagrammable in every way. It's so tranquil that you can hardly believe that it's located so near to the ever-crowded Jiufen. It can be a great hideaway spot for those who are planning a trip to replenish themselves or relax here. The housekeepers are extremely polite, responsive and helpful and you can find self-help drinks and the owners' collection of books and DVDs for your entertainment. The hotel can be very inaccessible though if you are not driving as it is located on the mountain in Jinquashi and the buses do not reach the hotel directly. Be prepared to hug nature and exercise:)

It was a pleasant 2 day 1 night stayover at here. Thanks Ms Jian, she is a very nice host btw, she intro us places to visit around Jiu Fen and left us a copy of the map too! Nice things here: Location convenient, near 7 eleven, near old street entrance,strong wifi, hot and cold shower, hair dryer, value for money. Not so good : Not recommended for those who carry huge luggage because you need to carry it along a steep staircase. Conclusion: Will definitely come back if there's another trip here.

Sea Cafe was the perfect place for my daughter and me. It is in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean and the mountains. The large picture window in our room gave a spectacular view, day and night. (At night, they light up some of the nearby sights.) The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It is 10 minutes (by car) from Jiufen, so easy to visit the old town by cab or bus or walk a special trail and then return to the peace and quiet of the Sea Cafe. There are many scenic spots and hikes walking distance from the Sea Cafe. Best of all is Mr Liu the manager. His service is excellent, and he has great knowledge of the area as he has hiked and biked the area extensively. Thanks to his suggestion, we had a wonderful hike by the waterfall up to teapot mountain, visited a temple, and ate at the nearby local restaurant with delicious food and good prices. He also served a delicious breakfast. We only wish we had had more time to spend there and hope to return!

I really enjoyed my one-night visit to Jiu Fen, particularly because of my choice of Kyufun Komachi Inn. It is a quaint inn designed in the Japanese style, with good quality fittings and furnishing, complete with tatami mats, futon and even yukata for hire. The room size is adequate and the view of the coast and mountain is a great perk. I am very pleased with the warm and friendly service given by the small 2-3 proprietor/innkeeper team. The inn is tucked away at the end of a twisting zig-zaggy alley and is definitely not easy to find for the uninitiated. CALL the inn-keeper for help with directions! The numbering system of the houses and buildings there is hopeless (ha ha), so forget about searching by unit number. All that is however readily forgotten and forgiven once we are resting in our room or peering out on the balcony at the splendid view in the distance.

This is one of the best value hotel I have been to. I went back again 2 nights later on a last-minute change of travel plans. Location-wise it is a few minutes walk away from Ruifang train station, a 20min bus ride away from Jiufen, so quite easy and convenient. Yu-yu, the owner, is the kindest person I have met, always there to make your stay memorable. Place is super clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended!

We arrived at Jiu Fen on a rainy evening with tired legs. The host gave us options to stay in the room at level 2 (nearer to the sea view) or the room at level4 (in another building across the room). Without hesitate, we choose the room at level 2. The room is nicely decorated with comfortable sofa, bed set, dehumidifier, air conditioning, fridge, water heater, coffee machine and a balcony with superb view of jiu fen and the ocean with cooling breeze! Its located at the end of Jiu Fen Lao Jie which is very near to the happening street yet quiet for a relaxing stay! An LED signage with the name of the stay is on the building so you can find the stay easily even in the dark at night! Thanks for the nice breakfast served in the morning and we truly enjoy our stay in Liu Yuan. Recommend for couple!

Best part about this B and B is that it's just a short walk to a flight of stairs leading to Jiufen old street. That said, it's impossible to find the place on your own without contacting the owner for directions. The quad room itself is spacious and clean. The room has an en-suite bathroom while the separate toilet is oddly outside of the room. There was an unpleasant scent emitting from the bathroom the next day.

The place is located near the old street, it’s a bit hard to find with google maps (they don’t have small direct path shown on the map) but we called the owner and he came to pick us up immediately. The owner is very nice, he showed us the direction to the nearby attractions with great details including how to take public transport and restaurants he recommend. The room has a big window you could see the view of the bay harbour and the mountains. I would come to stay here again!

Location is perfect where is near bus stop, less than 1 min walking and 2 mins to Old Street Market. Sea view room is the best ever eventhough room condition itself is not much new as expectation but it is acceptable. Shower room is also one of the great thing. Breakfast was served by set menu. Taiwanese ladies had warm welcoming and we are really appreciated with this hotel. If we have a chance to go Jiu Fen, we will stay here again definitely.

My stay and encounter with the host- Mdm Jenny has made my stay in Jiu Fen so much more memorable. Not only does she make u feel right at home, she is also very helpful with all the travel tips around Taiwan. The place is clean and well equipped. And there is a common balcony with a beautiful view overlooking the sea and hills.... Location wise is also excellent as the stairway to the Old Street is just at the side of the building and a bus-stop right in front of it. And every night there will be a live acoustic performance by invited budding artist. What a way to end a night with someone serenading music to you, overlooking a beautiful view over the hills.
