Stayed 1 night to view sunrise Bromo. Check-in & out were smooth. Room is big & clean. Hot & cold water is not consistent. Understandable because the resort is on a mountain. Fantastic & romantic view with greeneries. Cabbage farms on mountain slopes. Hotel provides warm jacket with a rent of 30,000 rupiah. So, dont have to carry any bulky jacket in luggage! Jacket smells good. Hotel restaurant still served buffet breakfast even though we returned late after Bromo trip. Food was good. Highly recommend this hotel to those making trip to Bromo especially to honeymooners!

Best of the best. Although I was disappointed last time because I didn't get to see the panorama and sunrise of Bromo, but the experience of staying 3 nights at this hotel was very memorable. Starting from the breakfast menu that changes every day, and of course it's delicious, especially the rawon, the room is clean even though it's not cleaned every day. The towels are clean, the bed is comfortable. There is a balcony and the room is very spacious. Hot water flows smoothly. There are restaurants in the hotel with delicious food, the hot chocolate is the best. There is a tracking trail, last time I went to the neighbor's vegetable garden. It only takes 30 minutes to get to Bromo by jeep, so you don't need to wake up too early to see the sunrise.

Jawa Jiwa is by far the best hotel I've stayed in during the 4 times I've visited Bromo over the past 25 years. The hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are very comfortable. The food in the restaurant is delicious and art and photo gallery is excellent. The gardens are also peaceful & relaxing. The staff are also very attentive and friendly. Jawa Jiwa is quite a lot more expensive than other Bromo hotels I've stayed in, but it's worth it for the experience. I recommend staying at least 2 nights to fully enjoy your stay. If you're only there for 1 night and have to get up at 3 am to see the sunrise over Bromo you won't get the full benefit of staying there.

The place is quite new and luxurious for the area and probably has the best photography gallery in the country. Water heater is available but when showering the cold n water heater came out intermittently within a few seconds of each other. Get ready to be too hot n too cold. It is considered the best choice in the area. Upon entering the room, we spotted a tiny blood drop on the bedsheet. Didn't bother to have it changed as we had to get ready by 3 am. Receptionist is available for inquires between 6am-10pm, longer hours than at other hotels as claimed (?). Level 3 is at Ground level and wheelchair-accessible. Level 1 and 2 are located under level 3 reachable by stairs. Not advised for people having walk difficulty. It is the same as going to the breakfast area (across the street n upstairs). Parking lot/car garage is very narrow. Glad there were not many cars. Couldn't imagine during a high season or having bigger cars. Most jeep tours start from 3am until 9 or 9:30 am. Breakfast is open from 6am-10am. After a nice jeep tour, we had to hurry for breakfast and some items were not refilled. Not a relaxing way to end the morning. A 30- minute extended breakfast hour would help. In anticipation of the cold weather, we brought a black down jacket (quite bulky) n a grey long sleeves sweater. We took them back to the room after the morning tour n breakfast. We then realized about the jacket after we had checked out. We quickly returned (luckily still in proximity) and were accompanied by the staff who opened the still untidy room. They were nowhere to be seen. We texted the hotel the day after to make sure again. It was confirmed not to be found. We are still puzzled how those 2 items could have been missing. The staffs are friendly. We would recommend having dinner at Java Banana/Rehat Bromo. Artistic decor. If you want comfort within Bromo area, Jiwa Jawa is your best bet. If you want view, nothing beats Lava Lake View Lodge.
