Amazing 10/10”
This place is amazing! I had difficulty choosing the right place to stay and after arriving, my mum and I realised it’s one of the nicest places around! No hiking to the room as in the other places. Rooms cleaned daily, very clean. We got water bottles everyday. Cannot hear the noise from the village at night. If you like nature, then it’s the place to stay. Very relaxing! The room has so much light in because of the large windows on the wall and sliding door. It has terrace too. It is 2 minutes walk to Loh Dalum Bay, one of the nicest beaches in Phi Phi. We weren’t aware there were monkeys hanging around. On the first day we left the door open while sitting on the bed, we heard a sound, turned head to the side and we saw a big monkey sitting quietly on the mini bar top. The monkeys also threw coca cola around but the cleaning ladies changed it (even they brought new mattress) straight away. If you are scared of crawling insects, be aware of centipedes around. I saw a green small snake too. Regarding the room, the shower is placed in an uncomfortable part of the bathroom as you have to pass through wet floor to get to the toilet. It wasn’t a big issue.

In a great location. Away from noise but not far to walk into town. Bed very comfortable and very big. Linen changed daily and clean. Staff incredibly proficient friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely accommodation.

Good value overall”
The location is great, 10 min walk from the beach. The room is very nice, spacious and clean. The only minus is the bathroom, small, no ventilation and there was a weird smell. However, they cleaned up every day and put a freshener so no issues. The pool is very nice as well

Good value for money”
We paid about £20 per night. The bungalow is very spacious with a large king size bed. Good location - just a short walk into town. A/C is good although a little noisy and leaked on two occasions. Bathroom is quite outdated but fine to use. Swimming pool was filled with stagnant sea water and made our clothes smell very bad! For the price though, it was good value for money and we even extended our stay by one night as we enjoyed the island so much.

Calm comfortable płace ”
Away from the crowded tight annoying part of Phi Phi but still 5 minutes walk from it if you miss it. We had the renovated room/bungalow with twin beds - so beautiful and so comfortable! Nice view thanks to some stairs you need to take to get up to the bungalows. We were just missing a bench to put the bags/luggage on. And a bit smelly when passing the Waste Water Collection but we did not feel the smell was reaching the room. The pool looked boring and the chairs not cleaned. But we didn’t use it anyway since the beaches Viking and Long Beach are what we came here for. Right value for the money.

Nice Bungalows with huge rooms!”
I really liked the Bungalows as it was in a (for me) perfect location. Very quiet in the night but only 10 minutes to the beach (and the big parties in the Nights). Rooms were huge so was the bed. Mattress was very comfortable. Shower and toilet are in one room (as usually the case in Southeast Asia) and not separated but due to its size, it was no problem. The toilet didn’t get wet. Staff was a bit weird sometimes but overall friendly.

Spacious bungalow with balcony everything was as advertised. Wifi worked well and the pool was clean. On an island so septic system all over....no paper down the toilet, odors sometimes...but so what. Staff very good.

Was a bit of a walk with heavy suitcases from pier but worth it to be a little away from the noise. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean. Only disappointment was no pool.

Lovely hotel gorgeous setting”
we booked the jj bungalows for 1 night and ended up booking another, we would of stayed longer but we couldn't. we were picked up from the port by a young lad who carried our bags all the way to the hotel. now this was a long walk as its on the other side of the island but it was well worth it. the downside to the hotel's location is you have to walk past a waste treatment site but if you hold your nose your past it in a few minutes and it looks pretty! phi phi is a party island and this hotel was just far enough away to be in total peace and quiet which was great. our bungalow was the highest one up so there were a lot of stairs to climb but it was gorgeous. a really comfy bed with flat screen tv with some english channels, a fridge with bottled water put in each day. now the only downside to this place is that the showers are cold, but this actually turned out well because you were that hot and sweaty a cold shower was just what you needed! there's a nice pool but not many sunloungers but the beach is that nice and we didn't really use the pool. there is no free wi-fi but you can buy an hours worth for but most restaurants or bars have free so just use theirs. this is a wonderful place to stay on phi phi and i would recommend it to anyone and would stay there again.

Fantastic Bungalows”
These bungalows are away from the noise and party and hordes of people - but everywhere in Phi Phi is walking distance so it works out great! The deluxe bungalows are very beautiful with nice detail inside. The balcony is also a nice addition, and the bed was super comfy! The bathrooms were clean, not anything spectaculars, but they did the job! The walk past the sanitation station aka Poo Gardens was admittedly difficult to do in the morning while hungover (never mind any other time of the day), but it wasn't like it was unmanageable. I would still stay here again regardless. The stairs up to the bungalows were a bit of a workout sometimes though, definitely worked up a sweat on the hot days. The pool was very refreshing! There is also a ton of cats hanging around, which is fantastic for keeping the mice in Phi Phi away, but we did find that they would try and run into our bungalow occasionally when we opened the door... Either way, these are beautiful bungalows, and they were definitely worth the price! Also, wifi is not free but is cheaper to buy than some of the Internet cafes. If possible, use wifi at the many restaurants that offer it.

Simple hotel but perfect for us location wise”
It was pretty awesome. We were travelling in a group of 6 from ages 19-22 and we found that it was the perfect distance from the nightlife. we were able to escape the noise when we wanted to sleep but was less than a 5 minute walk to get to the main parts of phi phi. we had no complaints about JJ bungalow considering we only booked 1 day in advance (after we discovered our previously booked hotel - ppcharlie resort - used fake pictures on their website and had received terrible reviews everywhere besides agoda). JJ bungalow's rooms were spacious and had air con, which was a massive plus on our side! we will warn you that there is a sewerage garden along the walk into the town centre which smells pretty terrible. not a deal breaker, just maybe remember to breathe through your mouth when you're passing that part :)

Great place”
So glad I decided on JJ Bungalow. It was clean, staff was very helpful, location provided a great view of the jungle setting of Phi Phi. Extended my stay from 1night to 3nights, mostly because I fell in love with Phi Phi and partially because the hotel was great. Would definitely recommend JJ's to others...also suggest to pay for the "deluxe" rooms as I heard the standard is not nearly as nice.

Second visit and still a winner”
JJ bungalow has all you could ever need when staying in Phi Phi. Rooms are large and kept exceedingly clean on a daily basis. The accommodation is a little out of town which means that it's quiet at night if you want to sleep, but also only a 5-10 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of the centre where it all happens. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a good base to drop your bags and go exploring it's fantastic. The swimming pool (added since I last visited) is also a nice and cool place to spend an afternoon away from the crowds.

location: if you aren't familiar with pp, nothing is too far from the beach. this place is 5-10min walking from the beach and up the hill (yes, lots of stairs), but it is quiet and perfect for a peaceful night of sleep. for new travelers - do get coils for mosquitos to burn inside of the room and on the balcony - small convenience store right across the bungalows has them. phi phi had way too many mosquitos this time (november 2011). bungalow: our delux bungalow was really really nice. the bed was king size, very comfy, aircon was quiet, fridge was provided with 2 complimentary bottles of water every day. there was a kettle for coffee, tv with lots of channels, and awesome big shower with hot water. the balcony was all ours, super nice for evening drink and relaxation. swimming pool looked very nice and clean, but never went in. staff: very nice, available 24/7. we locked ourselves out one night and they were there to sos.
