We liked the location. The room was spacious.

We couldn’t park outside or near the accommodation as she said she had run out of parking permits / cards so we had to carry all luggage. The bedroom and bathroom were dusty. The bedside lamps were covered in dust. Rooms need updating and especially the bedding. Didn’t smell fresh and clean. No coffee in the room. We had a separate bathroom which was fine with a free standing bath but with no shower head just a big jug so in the mornings I struggled with the jug full of water to wash my hair due to it being so big and heavy. When we checked in the guy greeted me saying his wife / partner had been running the b&b for 25 years and can’t be bothered with it now!! No something you tell paying guests!! At breakfast we wasn’t asked how we likes our eggs so I had fried egg both morning which I left as I like scrambled egg. The breakfast wasn’t good. We unfortunately left quite a lot of it the first morning and wasn’t asked the next morning if everything with breakfast was ok due to what we had left. My husband had a bath the first night and the water was cold. The bed needed updating and was very uncomfy. Very hard pillows. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and b&b’ and this one really left us feeling upset and disappointed. I got told about 3 times during my visit not to forget the £20 cash for the dog when we check out and even got left a note! As the owners have this b&b up for sale and in his words ‘can’t be bothered’ with it anymore then they certainly shouldn’t be taking paying guests!!

The breakfast was lovely and the hosts were very kind and knowledgable about the local area.

it was so homely and Jill the host so welcoming. She always took time out to chat to us. We took our cocker spaniel who loved it !Breakfast was lovely and fresh and piping hot.

This bed and breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Jill and Geoff were so lovely, very welcoming. The breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from . It was beautifully clean and comfortable. I would without a doubt go back .

Joben is in a great location, a real find. We stayed 2 nights in the superior room which was beautiful, the pics don't do justice. The large bathroom for our room was just along the corridor and featured a lovely roll-top bath, which we both took advantage of. The owner Jill is a lovely, friendly host, nothing was too much trouble, and the full English breakfast was a real treat. Highly recommended. Thank you for a great stay.

Breakfast was really nice, more than enough food. Location was near the centre of whitby.Bed was super comfy. Landlady was approachable and friendly .

My room didn't have a shower, although had a lovely roll top bath.

The location was super, nice and central. Jill was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful. The guest house delivered a high standard of cleanliness which personally is a very important aspect.

There was nothing much really not to like. On street parking may be tricky for spaces but for us we walked everywhere. There may be room for improvement to cooked breakfast but this was a small detail to the overall stay.

We loved our stay, Jill is so welcoming and friendly. She accommodated our daughter in another room for us at the last minute. Full English breakfast was delicious. The rooms have a very high standard of cleanliness and lovely modern decor throughout. Loved the roll top bath! Very dog friendly. Thank you 😃

The breakfasts are very good, the host was exceptional, the room was fine. The location is excellent. Whitby itself is a lovely town with heaps of potential; its location, history, museum in Pannett Park, the priory and the harbour make for a really interesting visit.

There could be more restaurants serving the excellent local seafood rather than just fish and chips. This may sound rather snobby but its not meant to, we believe that there should be less amusement arcades which would enhance the harbour foreshore and attract some of those who disappear abroad for their holiday and even some European and other overseas visitors.

Jill&Jeff, were both very friendly and welcoming the breakfast was great B.B was cosy,would definitely recommended Kim.del 👍
