Backpacking in style!”
If you're on shoe-string budget but you do not want to compromise on comfort, then Joe's Cafe and Garden Resort is the right choice. It has its own beach front where you can spend the day reading and lazing around. The service is excellent though not many of the staffs speak English and that can be quite a challenge. The resort has a few types of rooms, the bungalow facing the sea is definitely the best but if you're on a budget then the room with the garden view isn't so bad. I like the layout of the place, it's colourful and very laid back. The food is excellent and is served in a large portion, totally value for money. They provide games for you to kill some time, i.e a billiard and a foosball. Free wi-fi is also an added advantage as you can't wait to upload your pictures on FB right away! There's a small tour agency opposite the resort where you can easily arrange for a trip to the sand dune or also purchase a bus ticket to Saigon. The famous Nina Spa is just 3 minutes away by car and there are plenty of water sports to choose from along the way. I like the crowd here, they're mature adults (age 25 onwards by the looks of it, therefore, it doesn't have the rowdiness that you find in Phuket. There's a live band playing to entertain the guests but the song selections can be a lil' bit too oldies for us. Apart from that, it's a good place definitely.

Nice Budget Seaside Resort”
Futa Bus from Saigon dropped us in front of the resort and Joe's Cafe and Restaurant Garden Resort front desk can help you to book for the return trip by Han Than and Hanh's cafe sleeper bus. Live performance is the main point that attact me for the booking! They have it every night! And u can have your breakfast facing the sea the next day! Overall, a fabulous experience there with my friends. Worth for what I paid! Although we are happy that they gave us a big room for 2 of us, but the aircon is not cold enough for that big room! Hope to go back in the future!

Vietnam's Coolest”
Oh what a lovely place to stay. This place has all the colors. We were a couple plus 10 mth baby. We were travelling South and only stopped here to break up our journey. We wanted one night, booked two because our plan required this, but stayed four nights because we loved it too much. We booked this place as it advertised live music each night and our baby likes tunes. The music factor didn't disappoint, but what we were surprised about was that the food on Joe's menu was better than we'd eaten on our entire trip, that the staff were fantastic, and that the location was good for other activities. Joe, the owner, a Canadian with a good sense of humor, a welcoming smile and an easy going nature was all smiles when i congratulated him on the new pool design. It turns out that my comments were of the nature he relished. Not surprising given the thought the guy has put into the place. We came here as a family. If i'd came here single, or as part of a couple i'd of enjoyed the stay equally. Joe's cafe caters for all. My little baby smiled the most whilst here.Even the tv has better channels. It's always the guy who comes here with a passion for life that can make his dreams a reality. Joe is proof of this.

Good value for the money - near to everything we want to visit”
Joe's garden resort is close to the places that we want to visit in Mui Ne. Hot mud spa, cooking school, BO KE restaurants, Hanh Cafe are just a few minutes walk away. And there is a 24 hours mini mart next to it. Extremely accessible and convenient.

Fantastic little oasis”
This was my second time at Joe's and I enjoyed it even more this time around. The staff are amongst the friendliest I've encountered anywhere- absolutely lovely people. The accommodation is outstanding, especially considering how inexpensive the rooms are. Location wise it's right in the centre of Mui Ne, with brilliant little restaurants within throwing distance (plus their restaurant / bar is great too). I wouldn't hesitate recommending Joe's to anyone.

Good service good staff close to the beach”
I enjoyed Joe's Cafe, it was a bit quiet but that was what I was after and it was the low season. I found the staff as well as Joe very friendly and the food and service was great.Joe's is also the best place to hang out at night as he has a couple of very good musician's in (Mr Lud and Kreed) that alternate each night and like to engage their audience. If you want somewhere right on the beach, with good food, reasonably priced accomodation, great atmosphere then Joe's is your place. Joe is also very approachable for any advice about sight-seeing or any else you might want to know.

Good hotel but terrible staffs”
The hotel has good location, nice room and good breakfast. They has a bar and play live music at night. But if you need a pure quite atmosphere, you may feel a little bit noisy until after 11PM. Staffs were terrible. They ignored us when we asked for their help. And when we checked out, we told them we would leave very early in the morning to catch the bus back to Saigon so we asked them to check room quickly but they didn't. They waited until the time we left to check room therefore we almost missed the bus. It's too ashamed when more than 20 people on that bus waited us for 15 minutes just because of the stupid reason. However, apart from poor level staffs, Joe's cafe and garden resort is a good place to stay.

Lovely Resort and Staff”
Staff Enjoyed my stay in the resort, this is by far the best place I stayed during my journey around Vietnam. I have to thank the Resort Manager and his staffs for making my stay a pleasant one Food I had Egg McJoe and Tom Yum in the resort, although the price maybe slightly then other eatery along the street , but the quality of the food matches the price. Location Centralize no issue walking around. In-conclusion , Value for money! this is the best place to stay in Mui-Ne.

great location right in the center of the street, great morning views”
Joe's is part of a bar, hotel that is perfect for a Mui Ne stay. The location is very central and right o the beach (be aware that due to tides you would need to go further down the beach to sit on the sand. Great friendly service and has everything you need in one place.

Fantastic location”
We arrived late but it wasn't a problem - they had our rooms ready for us and showed us around. It was probably the fastest check in I have ever experienced. The hotel setting was fantastic with a little river running through the resort, individual bungalows all with fresh flowers, great gardens with little bridges and walkways, and a lovely seating area overlooking the ocean. The hotel also has a lively bar area at the front of the resort with live music at the weekends. Our bungalows were right on the beach and were very quiet and peaceful. We couldn't hear any noise from the bar at all when we were in the bungalow. The bed was comfy and felt nice and homely. The bathroom was large and modern...again with fresh flowers on display. The terrace was a good size with a little seating area and a hammock. The staff are also close to hand and polite, however they can be a bit slow to deliver food orders. We waited for nearly 30 mins for ice cream!! I'm pretty sure it wasn't home made! But when it arrived, it was delicious. The food was really good and great value and there was a range of different types of breakfasts available. Joe himself was wonderful and was very attentive. We would highly recommend staying here as it was just perfect in every way and great value for the money you pay. We will definitely be staying here again!

A relaxing stay”
A couple of niggles with the room were sorted out quickly. One of the staff initially dealt with was not particularly helpful, but others proved to be capable and attentive enough - the young female supervisor(?) was particularly helpful, so thanks. Once I recognised who the "go to" staff were, there were no further delays. The room itself was upgraded from a bungalow to ocean view bungalow - again, much appreciated. Rooms and bathrooms appear to be sizeable enough. My room contained a large walk-in shower and a comfortable, firm double bed. Although there is live music (solo artist) every night, I found the room very quiet - couldn`t hear anything of the music, as the bungalows are located at the rear of the resort. The resort is directly adjacent to the ocean, with the water lapping at the concrete wall of the breakfast area at high tide, which is pleasant. For those spending time in their room, cable/satellite TV had a decent selection of English (and other) language channels. Mui Ne is popular with wind and kite surfers and there are any number of schools and rental shops within a short walk of the resort. Similarly, you have a relatively large choice of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Joe`s itself has a large bar area which proved to be by far the most popular in the area during this low season visit - the bar serves a decent variety of competitively priced food and drinks and the night-shift service proved capable. In addition to the live music, there is a pool table and kids` playing area. Overall, I found Joe`s to represent good value - it offers ocean-side peace, but is central enough to offer nightlife options, also. The approachable foreign owner is resident on the property and, thus, is directly active in the day-to-day upkeep and administration of the place - run as a family business serving both travellers and the local community, the bar and rooms also seemed very popular with younger backpacking travellers. I would stay again.

Blissful bungalow”
We opted for the beach fronted bungalow with private outdoor bath, day beds, couches and table. It was like a tiny oasis. The room was spacious, the bed was comfy (the pillows were very flat for our liking) the outdoor area was awesome, chilling out in a giant bath outdoors what is not to love? The staff were friendly enough, some better than others and not because of the language barrier, some just seemed a little disinterested. We only tried the food once and it was very slow to arrive (even by Vietnamese standards) and it was passable but nothing to rave about if I am honest. They had live music which you couldn't hear from your room so you could still enjoy an early night if you wished. If I was in Mui Ne again I would choose to stay here as it was all in all a peaceful place to zone out for a few days.

Brilliant stay”
This was the third time I've stayed at Joe's in the past few years. Got the beachside bungalow this time and loved it. Very well maintained resort, the staff are lovely and the food (both at Joe's and the surrounding areas) was amazing.

Good Value for Money”
Right on the water, and not far from the nearest beach. The rooms are cozy and clean, and good value for money. The staff were generally helpful, but could have been friendlier, especially when we ordered breakfast late because we didn't know what time breakfast finished. Other than that, Joe's Cafe is a great place to stay!

Highly recommended”
Really smooth check in. Very friendly and helpful staff. The bungalow was clean and comfy with a great view of the ocean. It was also very peaceful and quiet and you couldn't hear any of the noise from the bar. The hotel staff were very helpful and always close by. Sometimes the food took a really long time to arrive, but it was good when it did. The atmosphere was great and had a lot of areas to kick back and relax. The gardens and the bungalows were really nicely decorated and we always had fresh flowers. There is a 24 hour shop right next door and a cash point close by. Opposite you can hire a bike for the day and go and explore the area. There is also a really good massage place opposite (same place as the bike hire) that is cheap and good quality. It is definitely worth getting a taxi or riding your bike to Olivers for dinner one night. It is about 10 minutes away on the main road and is a little restaurant owned by a french man, Oliver. He is very passionate about the food and it really shows as it is probably the best steak we have eaten in Vietnam. The chocolate moose is AMAZING and is by far the best I have ever eaten...and I've eaten a lot!! And this place is very reasonably priced too! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel...everything was great!

Nice environment ”
I love the live band at night and the strategic location as its nearby the beach. Their manager is so helpful. I do not rate it 5 stars because of the staff, most of their staff can't speak well in English. Communication breakdown when I order food from them. Other than this, it's a very nice environment to stay in mui ne.

Clean and comfortable”

Beautiful, clean, and some small admenments”
This place was so nice, clean, friendly staffs. The beach was close, nice pool. The live music performance was the best of Joe's. However, lots of mosquitoes and the water taps in the room upstairs flowed so slowly that we can hardly had a proper shower. These things are fixable. Keep up the good work!!!
