A quiet location, this location is a small, romantic boutique hotel has wowed many previous visitors. Located just a short walk from the famous Malioboro Street, the hotel is far enough away from all the businesses that, while fun to visit, many visitors wish to escape from after a day of the hustle and bustle. Exceptional lighting, four-post beds with very comfortable bedding, and a tranquil pool area in the central courtyard are truly relaxing. Be absolutely certain to check out the local temples and palaces in the region, including The Kraton Palace, the largest Southeast Asia Hindu temple Prambanan, and the world's largest Buddhist temple - Borobudur. Overall, if a quiet getaway near the tourist spot is what one desires, the Jogja Village is a top choice for the area. Jogja Village can be easily booked with our secure online booking form. Good option with 5-Star service!”
My wife and I chose the Dusun Jogja Village Inn – a beautiful and quiet hotel – to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and we were very satisfied with our decision! The hotel, although old, was extremely clean, with a nice swimming pool, and beautiful and well-kept garden. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing place to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing. Our room (208) was exactly what we had requested – quiet, with a nice balcony and pool view. Room had a nice décor, very comfortable bed. Great AC and reliable WIFI. We could hear the call for prayer from neighboring mosques, but it didn’t bother us at all. Just beside the hotel there’s a good supermarket, and within walking distance you can find an outstanding restaurant – Mediterranea – ranked # 1 here on TA for Jogia’s restaurants. Breakfast though was a disappointment. There was a sign saying that they were only offering a simple breakfast on that day and we could order from a menu. The buffet food was not appealing, and we ordered the nasi goreng and the mie goreng. Unfortunately, the worse ones we had during our 2-week trip through Bali and Java. For this reason we don't rate "excellent". All the staff members we interacted with were wonderful. They were warm, courteous, and helpful. Jogia Team: Thank you so much for everything you did for us. The flower arrangement that you gave us was an unforgettable gesture! A gesture that 5-Star hotels can’t deliver! We really appreciate it! Overall, an excellent option in Yogyakarta!
amazing 2 days and 2 nights”
we had 2 days and 2 nights in jogja and i am very happy we decided to stay here. the staff is very well trained, kind, and attentive. since this is not in the city center (not too far away though), you don't have to deal with the noise, traffic, and chaos. it does feel random as you pull up to the place from the street, but once you are inside, it is very charming. the place is very well thought out and all the details are nice. we met the owner, he was very nice and gave us some great suggestions. he has a great vision for the place and it really shows in the quality of time we had there. we booked our one day tour to prambanan and borobudur through them which was perfect cause they packed us an awesome breakfast and made it easy to pay all in one bill. there are also some really good places to shop, art galleries, and eat nearby, several of the top listing of restaurants are walking distance. the food at dusun village is good as well if you need a quick bite or just don't want to leave the place. breakfast is also very well done, so i would add that. overall, i would recommend this place for anyone looking for good service, quality, and relaxing atmosphere during your stay in jogja.
Paradise in Jogya”
aside from the jogja village inn's obvious natural charm, i observed that all of the staff i came in contact with (reception, bell boys, house-keeping, restaurant servers and security had a genuine desire to please. everyone wanted my stay to be a happy one! i shall always remember this hotel as something very different. a great place for romantics, families and travelers looking for a hotel with a truly human face. well done everyone at dusun jogja village inn
Very enjoyable stay in this lovely hotel”
We just love our stay in Dusun Jogja Village Inn. From the moment we passed the check in counter, we fell in love with the beautiful garden surrounding the hotel. Our room is a dream - cottage like with outdoor bathroom and own balcony. It's really a home from the city's hustle and bustle. As we walked around the hotel, we found more aesthetically pleasant and smart design that impressed us so. The owner Paul said hi to us at breakfast table, and soon, we knew why the hotel is so perfect. Paul's attention to details is a joy to experience and glad, that all his friendly, wonderful staff share his passion for excellence in design and service. We hope to come back!
jogja at its best”
Too many people raved about this Dusun Jogja Village Inn (DJVI). In this site and in 'that other site where travellers exchange info'. I couldn't help myself to book for a 3-night stay there. I thought it would be a nice break from cookie-cutter chain hotel type of accommodations we're used to stay when traveling for business. All the raves were true. DJVI is soooo beyond my expectations from a three-star hotel! From outside, it sure looks like the city's typical three-star hotel. But the service! The pool! The garden! The service! (repetition intended).
Unique experience and great value”
Jogja village is definitely a great theme hotel. The garden and interior design bring the Javanese flavor to full experience. The food was not standard hotel type either. Instead, traditional food such as Gudeg and nasi kuning were served to complement the Javanese environment. Not to mention the charming ceramics and the floral aroma of the shampoo which were also available for sale. Definitely recommended.
A lovely oasis ”
We spent a lovely four days in Dusun Jogja Village. The room was absolutely charming, with old fashioned tiles , a lovely bed, ancient door, and a charming balcony in which we could sit out and read and have cold beer! The staff were very helpful, and more than willing to point out places where we could get the best deals for cars and bikes on hire in town even though the hotel has its own travel desk. The swimming pool was lovely and it was great to have a swim at the end of a hot day. The only aspect of the hotel that we found slightly odd was the breakfast which was part of the deal. The breakfast was not as generous as we have experienced in other hotels...and on the last day they didn't even lay out the normal buffet. They just told us what was available from the three things on offer-eggs, fruits, cereal.I agree that normally this is enough but on holidays we usually like to indulge in more generous breakfasts. But aside from that it is indeed a lovely place and we will always treasure our holiday there.
Hard to imagine a better place to stay in Jogja!”
This was a lovely place to spend 5 nights in Jogja! A little oasis in the otherwise not terribly attractive city. The travel desk was particularly helpful in setting up the various tours we wanted to take around the area (we worked with Gosfi who was both knowledgeable and patient). Food in the restaurant was also very good, reasonably priced, and beautifully presented. We became hooked on the poached eggs at breakfast. Someone there had been exquisitely trained in how to poach an egg! We rated the "value for money" very high but it should be noted that we were there in low season so the relatively low cost of our room made the value very high. Had we paid full price...? It still would have been a good rating! Usually we feel guilty hanging out at the hotel when we're in an exotic place we want to visit, but this hotel with its tropical pool setting was very enticing and we got over our guilt!
Dear James, We are truly honored to receive your high scoring. There is nothing more encouraging than to have your satisfaction during your stay with us. We are glad that you enjoyed our poached eggs and the service in the tour desk. We welcome any suggestion might you have one and would be very delighted to have you staying with us again in the near future. Sincerely yours, Management
Love the place”
The olace is soo good and peaceful. If you really try to find a nature environment with touch of javanese, then this is the perfect place. The staff was really nice and helpful, the price of the restaurant is not that high and have a good quality taste of the food. Really recommended! I would love to comeback again to jogja village.
Peaceful oasis near the heart of it all.”
We stayed for four days and didn't want to leave this little oasis. Our room was on the 2nd floor (highly recommended as you get a little private balcony with lovely couch overlooking the pool area). While there we enjoyed swimming every day, delicious snacks from the restaurant and late night movies in their awesome movie room. I'd say the only thing that was a bit of a let down was the spa experience, it is very small and while there was nothing bad about the massage we received it just didn't rate with some of the other experiences we've had in SE Asia. Still, after a midnight climb to the top of Merapi it was nice to have the massage available! We would recommend the Jogya Village Inn to all travelers to Yogyakarta who want a quiet, peaceful atmosphere with lots of amenities and excellent service by the knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Beautiful Sanctuary in Jogja”
jogja village was a lovely place to relax. the pool is big enough to really swim around in and set among beautiful landscaping. it was a great place to come back to after battling the touts and aggressive becak drivers in town. one thing to watch out for, the "tours" that the hotel offers are not tours but private drivers and you'll have to fork out for parking, entrance fees and any kind of guided commentary on top of that. it would probably be a lot cheaper to take a regular taxi or becak instead.
A beautifuo oasis”
The Jogja Village Inn is simply a delight. Set in a fairly unprepossessing street, it opens up into a real oasis from the hustle and bustle outside. Staff were wonderful and service excellent. A much better experience than any chain hotel and a short becak ride from just about everything. Do yourself a favour!
Wonderful Place and amazing staff”
We were 4 friends that planned jojga trip over long weekend. Stayed in Jogja village. Its lush green environment and salt water pool is something to die for. Loved our stay there. Food is okay. Staff is very courteous. They also arranged a cab and tickets for Borobudur temple trip for us well in advance. Fortunate to attend their pool party as well.. it was crazy!!!!
A haven in the midst of an urban sprawl”
Dusun Jogja Village Inn staff were immensely helpful, responsive and efficient. We had to check out at 5am and the reception staff suggested packing our breakfasts for that day, and true to their word the breakfast bags were waiting for us at the reception together with pots of tea and coffee ordered in advance. This is world class service! Syabas!
Lovely hotel with friendly staff”
my family stayed at jogja village inn for 3 nights, we are extremely impressed with the friendliness and service of the hotel staff. after a long-day visit of temples and other historical sites, our children enjoyed jumped into the pool while we sipped some cold drinks by the pool side. the rooms are clean and well-maintained. we highly recommended it!
very friendly hotel and service with smiles”
This is a very nice and romances hotel, will make people forget to going out , and the staff very friendly with smile ,we stay 3 days 2 nights very enjoyable moment , if need trip at that sure we will stay the same hotel " Dusun Jogja Village Inn "
Wish they were a chain!!”
Everything we like about a hotel, nothing but praise for the staff and facilities - beautiful, caring, personal and romantic, 5 star hotels don't have this level of personal connection, 6 stars for Dusun Jogja Village Inn
In our 6 week trip to S.E.Asia, Jogja Village represented the best value for money by far. Just an awesome little hotel. Great rooms ... REALLY great; lovely gardens; excellent pool; good value spa
A refreshing atmosphere to recharge and relax”
I had a very relaxing time at Dusun Jogja not least because I had a spacious, vintage-style room with airconditioning and open-air shower. Dusun Jogja has beautiful gardens with running waterfalls and fishponds, providing with you a refreshing escape from Yogya's busy-ness. The staff were very friendly and all knew my name, and the owner took the time to introduce himself to me and enquire about my stay. I would highly recommend this unique hotel as an alternative to a regular hotel.
The beautiful green ground and the friendly staff”
Dusun Jogja Village Inn has such beautiful ground that you feel so relaxed and happy to be in it. You will see various tropical plants, flowers, and fish swimming in ponds and a little creek. Most of all, the staff make you feel very welcome.
