Joglo Taman Sari Resort
Enjoyed our time ”
Good locatian, verry friendly staff, 10 min walk to center. The warong on your left When walking to the center was magnificent!
Lovely and peaceful, just a bit far out ”
Staff were lovely, and the cabin's were well built and cozy. Slept really well. Staff were very chatty, and helped with all our enquiries. Brought breakfast to our balcony at a time we requested. Breakfast was nice. Currently building work going on next door which started at 8am so wasn't as tranquil and peaceful as perhaps we were expecting but hardly their fault. Nice pool, was a bit chilly. Overall was nice place. Just a bit far out, but if your happy to walk like we were then you'll be fine
A taste of old Bali in the City”
Joglo Taman Sari is far enough but close to the center of Ubud. Arriving in Bali late at night, turning to the long narrow side street from Jl Raya Ubud I thought wow this place is too secluded. But finally when we reached the end aahh how nice. The villa is small but you feel authentic Bali all over as shown in the pictures. It's a good walk to the main road but if you're not into walking, motorbike is your best bet to go in and out. Don't try to get an Uber cause the hotel will discourage you and give the driver a hard time, if he is brave enough to accept your booking. That was the only downside. All in all it's a good place to relax, spend some quiet time with nature sounds and ambiance not so far away from all the action. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Nice, quiet Traditional huts surrounded by ponds”
Far enough from ubud center to be away from the noise but near enough to walk to great places to eat. The rooms were just the right size for two people and the bathrooms were clean. Didn't always have hot water though.
Fist experience of authentic Bali ”
The place is located in about 10 min from the main road where you can find bars, restaurants and shops. The main market is about 15 min away, but, it is quite touristic, hence, the prices which is given are very high. Yound and beautiful Balinese girls who welcomed us and assisted during our stay were lovely and helpful. Thank you! The breakfast was good as well. The house that we stayed is very authentic. You must take into consideration that the material which were used for bulding that place are eco-friendly and recycled ones (mainly wood), hence, you can see something like spider web somewhere in the corners of the ceiling. However, the one insectes that I saw were mosquittoes outside, ou, and frogs were "singing")) The place was like staying in the city but away from the crowd and noise. We loved the small outdoor terrace and fish in the pond. The place is very green. Swiming pool is not super big, however, there are not that many poeple as well. Would I stay again? Yes. If I want to stay in peace and "recharge my batteries")
Very lovely villas. Pool was good too. ”
Pros, nice and clean, close to town,
When you first arrive you are very aware you are essentially living in a hut, but it is the most authentic hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are beyond helpful, lovely and funny. The location is superb; central enough to walk everywhere in ubud but off the main road. It's is one of my favourite hotels in the world.
Lovely spot away from the main area”
We loved our 4 days here in Ubud. It's a bit of a walk out of the town centre, but this only makes for a quieter experience when you are there, which we were looking for. The walk up the street every day was a bit tiresome and sometimes the cars/pick ups wouldn't come up there as they said it was too narrow, but the bonus for us was it was quiet and secluded. I thought the room and bathroom were really clean, breakfast was served on our balcony whilst watching the fish in the pond (no mosquitoes also) and the pool was a lovely distraction from the day time heat. I would recommend this to anyone who is not interested in a western style "hotel room" in Ubud.
Pwrect location for Ubud”
Nice place to stay close to Ubud, nice swimming pool, bungalows were too close to each other's. Building works around the hotel, expect noise during daytime
Great location unless the narrow street to hotel is very dark at night,,,
Nice but confused sometimes”
Very nice Joglo (typical local cottages) bungalows. Little bit tiny. Beautiful garden with fishes and pool. Very close to the Ubud center (up to 10 minutes wolking). Bads have nets. Airconditioned. Lower review because of 2 things: first day morning and nets. First day morning we waited for brakfeast for about 45 minutes - first the staff claimed we don't have any, than after I showed our reservation form Agoda they called to manager and realised that the manager made a mistake and so the staff rode the motorbike to buy our brakfeast and than they prepared it. Then I asked them to rent the motorbike incl. insurance. They called somebody and the brought motorbike, however there were no documents and no insurance. So I returned it and we rent the bike for lower money in town. However both above mentioned things weren't fault of the staff and in other thinks the staff was very helpful and nice. Second nets above beds were fusty and they should wash them.
Very plesant place! Out of the bustle of Ubud. Great swimmingpool! ”
We loved this place - its atmosphere, location and the wonderful swimmingpool. Perfect communication with the manager, nice staff. The place is like a botanical garden, with lot of birds, fish and small animals. The villas are not 100% antproof, but the staff repelent rooms reguralry every evening and the beds have nets. The villas are small but lovely, surrounded by ponds with fish. We loved this place.
Nice hotel, nice room and pool”
its a good hotel
Cozy Hidden Place”
1. The location was exactly as I expected. A bit far from the crowd of Ubud city center. Quite place for chill and rest. It is also nice surrounding, just beside the pool is rice field. The pool not that long but nice though. 2. For the price I paid I expectEd "SERVICE", as it is not budget hotel but higher level that budget hotel. >>when I checked in, the room was not totally ready, the tissue box was empty. They should have had checked everything in the room before the guest coming. All have to be ready. >>when I oredered Indonesian Breakfast ( fried rice ), the staff said that they don't have it because they did not cool rice today. EXCUSE ME! that's not my problem. What's written in the menu, they have to be available. Especially they even asked me to order the breakfast a night before, so there is no reason if they have no time to cook some rice. >>then I order fried noddle, what surprised me was ( because I'm Indonesian so I know the taste ), they used noddle such "Mie Sedaap" which cost only IDR 2.000/pack. Such a pity that this good looking hotel has no identity for its own foods. Come on "its hotel not a Warung", serve better and have quality. 3. It might be good idea to provide Shampoo and Shoap. 4. Other than those I have written, everything is alright. The interior and exterior of the hotel are very comfort and fresh. The garden and the plant are so green and beautiful. The hotel ( each room ) has very cute design and they use mostly recycle wood which make them really antique and yet unique.
Tropical Oasis in the Town.”
We really enjoyed ourselves, a relaxing setting, lovely gardens and pool, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location to the town was a enjoyable walk.
Hidden Haven ”
Perfect. Staff excellent, they enjoy working there and in doing so make every effort for you to enjoy your stay. The joglos though compact, boast all necessary furnishings, with the stone tiled shower a highlight. Again, the rice paddie views from the rooms and pool are a welcome feature, and are never over crowded thanks to the size of taman sari. In short, joglo taman sari delivered in all areas, as we were in the heart of ubud almost without even knowing it!
Super cadre & emplacement”
