Very good hotel for JFK airport. 10 minutes shuttle ride 24hr a day. Rooms are dated but decent size and beds were large. No restaurant in the hotel but several fast food outlets and restaurant chains within a few minutes walk.. Staff very helpful when Agoda messed up our reservation - Agoda sold us a room for 5 people but the maximum capacity of the hotel is 4 people. Agoda refused to help, just told us we should have read the maximum capacity of the hotel even though their booking system let us book a room for 5 people.

Due to snow storm in Jan 4, 2018, our flight got cancelled, all hotels close to JFK are fully booked, instead of staying in the airport, we decided to take 30mins car ride to this Ramada Rockville Centre and stayed for 2 nights. Its more like a BNB so don't have much expectation, they do offer breakfast which was so what decent (cereals, waffles, yoghurt, eggs and bacons). The Chinese delivery saved us all that night as everything closed including the TGI Fridays next door. For a layover, or a pit stop during a road trip,I think it's not a bad choice.

They provide what you need as an airport hotel: about every 15 mins shuttle bus form JFK airport to the hotel and every hour from the hotel to airport,a business center which provides real-time flights status and free PC for online check in. Nice staff and nice rooms. And as I said it's a true airport hotel, you can't find a nice restaurant, shopping mall or park nearby. So it's suitable for just one night stay.

After many searches I found JFK Inn to be the cheapest hotel on offer in New York unless you want to share a bathroom etc. It's not the Ritz but the rooms are clean, and warm, the showers are hot and the staff are friendly and helpful. When you get off the plane take the Air Train to Federal Circle station (free) and use the free phone to call the hotel and they'll come and pick you up. (Give the driver a tip). Breakfast is eat all you want, and also is free. Again airport drop off is free. If you want to access Manhattan you'll have to get a number Q6 bus about 5mins walk down the road. It'll take you to the subway station (it's the stop where almost everyone gets off) where you can buy a Metro Card and charge it up with as many rides as you need. The best deal is the $15 weekly deal if you're staying that long. They'll explain more at the hotel if you ask.

The Radisson hotel group is a respected company which offers a good value product and is normally one on my list of preferred hotels. The Radisson JFK hotel stands out as one which drags the company into a lower bracket. This hotel is not representative of the Radisson brand and requires a facelift. The hotel is tired and badly in need of refurbishment. On top of that, cost saving measures implemented by the hotel management impact adversely on the customer experience. When I stayed there on a cold January night, the heating had been turned off in the room and it remained at 59 degrees F all night. It was so uncomfortable that I chose to leave for the airport two hours early in an effort to get warm. The four elevators serving the upper floors were all shabby, noisy and rickety and require updating to include new carpeting and interiors. The bar/ restaurant is soulless and utilitarian. It is not a place that one would choose to spend time in if one were not either starving or

When we arrived at the JFK airport , the Airtrain services stopped at the Federal Station . The hotel provided free shuttle services from that station . When we called the hotel reception and it took only 5mins for the shuttle service to arrive , it was so amazing . The hotel reception very friendly and within a minute the check in process been done . Overall the services was excellent ...clean room , nice breakfast .. no complaint . Really good value for money .

The place is clean and have heater refrigerator and coffee medicine. The breakfast is inclusive and the shuttle was super fast I called them when I arrived then they came after few mins. Compare to many places in New York at least they provide the essential like heater and refrigerator I don't understand why most of the Hotel in New York city don't provide this. Super 8 is a great place to stay for transit or have fly at mid night very close to the airport and 7eleven just right behind.

You get what you pay for. It's a 9 minute uber ride to the airport from this place. The bed is surprisingly comfortable and the rooms are clean. It's a shared bathroom with other guests and a simple breakfast is provided. It's not really central to much of the nightlife in NYC nor close to any subway station, but learn to use a bus and you're fine. All-in-all, it was worth the value compared with other properties considering I just needed a place to crash before my flight the next morning.

My stay was amazing. From the private entrance to the cleanliness of the establishment. It was cozy and quiet. The little adornments of antiques added character to the place. Even though the Jacuzzi didn't work; we turned it into a hot tub with bubbles and enjoyed ourselves. I especially loved the fact that when we left our room we exited immediately outside. We didn't bump into other patrons. We just went on our way. Con: was agoda.com because they called me early the morning of the booking and told me that our room booking was canceled because they had booked someone else for the room. I called Capri and they told me that it wasn't booked; that the problem was the Jacuzzi wasn't working. I told her it wasn't a problem. If you are going to book this place understand that at first glance it looks like a dive. But its not, you will have your own private entrance, its close to public transportation, and the staff are amazing. Just go with an open-mind.

We booked here because we had to catch a morning flight - there are hotels much closer to JFK that came up when I searched but this place listed that it had an airport shuttle service. We asked whether we needed to book on the shuttle when we checked in but were told that they didn't operate a shuttle. On the list of hotel services in the room, there was a section headed 'airport transfers' which said there was a phone in reception to book an external transfer (which I guess is just a taxi). In the end we just got reception to call a cab which took half an hour to arrive so with the cost of the room plus the cost of the cab, we might as well have paid more for a hotel closer to JFK.

A very convenient location for flying out of JFK. The lobby and our room were clean and neat. The staff, front desk, food and beverage and manager, were all very friendly and helpful. Yakof, the shuttle driver was the best I've ever seen. We arrived on Sunday for a Monday morning flight. I had a rental car that I wanted to turn in on Sunday and asked Yakof for directions. He told me he was going to the terminals and that I should follow him and indicated which exit I should take. Perfect. He made finding my way around an airport I'd never been to very simple and once I turned in the car, he picked me up at Federal Circle. He asked what time our flight was the next day and said to meet him in front of the hotel at 8:55 which we did. As I already said, he was the best I've ever seen and went far beyond just driving the shuttle bus.

I arrived extremely distressed, having been misinformed by Agoda that the hotel was near JFK airport, which it isn't. Although I spent a fortune on taxis, the hotel was lovely: surprisingly big room for NY, within walking distance (though walking isn't easy as the hotel is near highways) from lots of shopping and dining including many discount stores. The Hampton chain is obviously a good one; details like apples in the lobby matter!

Our stay was great until you went for a shower... the temperature was not consistent for the hot water. we had to turn the knob all sorts of directions to get it hot. The walls of our room were thin so thin we could here the conversation next door to us! It almost seemed like they were in our room at one point! Other than that the view was awesome! Pillows are a little stiff for our liking but nice spacious area and clean. The restaurant for breakfast was pretty. The Buffett has your very Basic foods, eggs, sausage. Bacon and oatmeal. Nothing that stood out other then the view of the water. Service lacked there in the restaurant, we Never got a refill or anything but what did You expect there was young men working there and they’re too busy talking about sports to even notice their were people needing refills etc.. I have mixed emotions about this place but I would def give it another try if the price is right.

We missed our flight back to Australia leading to a last-minute booking at this hotel. We were checked in quickly and were given a good recommendation for a local pizza place that could do delivery for us. The room itself was clean and comfortable, quiet enough, and with free Wi-Fi, plenty of space, and heaps of fresh towels and comfortable pillows (which is important to me!). In the morning we headed downstairs for our free buffet breakfast, which was better than I expected - hot waffles, donuts & bagels, fruit, cereal, toast, hot drinks, and someone there continuously making sure the area was clean and stocked up. Furthermore there is a free airport shuttle bus which dropped us off right at the door to our terminal. The driver was friendly and handled our luggage for us. So overall, this hotel is of great value. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and it helped very very much to not have to stress out more than I already was! Definitely recommended. If I'm ever stuck in New York due to a missed or delayed flight, I'll be returning here.

Hillside is a clean, well-managed hotel with comfortable but small rooms. I recommend it with the following conditions. (1) You must want to stay in Jamaica for some reason (2) The trip to Manhattan via subway from Jamaica Van Wyck station to 50th street station takes 50 minutes (3) The trip from JFK airport takes 15-20 min via Uber (4) The Jamaica Hospital Medical Center on 138th is just a few blocks away so ambulance sirens are almost non-stop especially at night (4) There is a constant traffic din from the Van Wyck Expressway which is just one block away from the hotel. Actually, I suppose the Hillside is just about like any hotel in NYC, noise, noise, noise.
