John's Apartelle”
I had a great time staying at John's. The place is very near the beach (located just at the back of D'mall), it's also near some local carinderia where you can eat for a very cheap price. The room itself seems to be nice and clean. The TV is old school (still LCD), the cable was terrible (very poor reception), the WI-FI is good as long as you stay on the bed (signal will be lost if you go beyond that point). There is a sofa bed which is nice (doesn't look very clean though). Overall, the place is good if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in Boracay, don't expect 5 star quality though it's comfortable.

John's apartelle is the best among other apartelle/low budget accomodations around when it comes to location, value for money, cleanliness, and accomodation. It is located in station 2, at the back of craft's grocery beside mcdo and budget mart. The size of the room is very convenient even for the family. The bed size is double, but there is also sofa bed and extra double bed provided in the room. With own comfort room and LCD TV with cable. Great accomodation for a very great deal! :)

For me, the only good thing about this apartelle is the location although not a lot of people would prefer it. It is near some local shops, local residence, could be a bit noisy sometimes, very busy during the day, near cafeterias and eateries, grocery store, D'mall, talipapa, and other resto and shops. We stayed in their standard room (no veranda). The apartelle also house the owner's salon just below the rooms. Our room is very small, clean, but no tables, chairs, or closet, just a foldable sofa bed. The bathroom is also very small. They have a shower, but sorry, no hot water. The water pressure is good but the flush isn't working. You need to use a bucket. The aircon is functioning well. We like the cable and tv. They have HD channels! They do have Wifi internet but the signal and connection is so weak and sloooooow! The staffs are very welcoming and nice. That's a good thing. Overall our experience was ok, that's because I'm not too picky with my accommodations. I travel a lot. I visited Boracay with my partner to work, not for leisure or relaxation. You do get what you pay for, so don't expect too much. :)

Okay for the cheap price”
John's Apartelle was...okay. A short distance from D'Mall. The room is just okay, with very small bathroom barely enough for one person to fit in. There is a balcony, but it was dirty so we haven't used it. There is no reception, and no staff can be seen at night. Well, you get what you paid for. :)

affordable place to rest ”
There are 2 rooms located above sheng salon. You will literally pass by inside the salon to reach your room. The staff are friendly & nice. The room and cr is very small but clean. The bed is comfortable & there was a sofa bed. There are no cabinets or place to put your things. No chair/table/desk. If you just needed a place to stay after a whole day tour, this is a perfect place for you. 5mins walk to station2 via dmall. Near carenderia where you can eat 35-50/meal. It is quiet @ night compared to beachfront hotels. We stayed 3nights & 4days. We had no major problem. They dont clean d room in the entire 3nights stay but i didnt mind. Maybe the trash should be collected regularly. In general my stay was superb. I definitely recommend this to those who are on a tight budget without sacrificing the quality of rest you can get.

Just for a night survival ”
Pros: The room and the bathroom are very clean; the guy who met us is friendly. Cons: - The apartelle is about 30 blocks away from the beach front so if you don't want to walk dripping that far, this apartelle is not for you. And when you walk from the beach to this apartelle, you will pass by the mall and then a side-walk market. Imagine yourself dripping and passing through these. - The room is on 2nd floor of a beauty salon which you have to pass through before getting up. Again, imagine yourself dripping from the beach and passing by people in a salon. And the salon chemicals are really strong that it get irritating to the nose. - They did not provide blankets, or at least one blanket for the 2 of us. When we asked for it, they said the blanket is already what's on the mattress - which has garters on 4 corners so it is a bedsheet, certainly not a blanket! But we have no choice than to resolve to it because again, they do not want to provide blanket. - The photos of the beach they provided here are not views from the room or from the apartelle itself. Those photos are about 30 blocks away from the apartelle.

Black outs are frequent”
I would have given a better score, the family who own the apartment are lovely. Air con, fan, large bed. Shower room is tiny and door doesn't open fully plus no toilet seat. Veranda over looks a busy road which is also quite noisy. The road does have everything you need pharmacy, shop etc. it's about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. I had to check out early because for 2 out of the 4 nights I was there they had a black out and I was without electricity for the whole night and day. They don't have a generator for black outs and black outs occur very frequent in borocay. I managed to get a cheaper place on the beach with better facilities and breakfast included. You also have to walk down a dark ally when it's black out to go through there salon to get to apartment. As I say lovely family run place but need to sort a generator out before they can start charging the price they do

Boracay stay at John's Apartelle”
My hubby and I stayed here last October 21-23, 2014. We didn't find the hotel right away for we were expecting it to be inside or within the vicinity of D'Mall, but unfortunately it sits at the back of D'Mall, kinda far from the beach. It takes us like 15-20 mins to get to the beach. Well, the room is really clean and the staff is nice, too. However, its quite awkward when we needed to get into our room because we had to enter the salon. So, the rooms for rent are actually inside the salon.

Just really a place to sleep”
Don't worry about the time you are going home from the beach because there are still a lot of people on the streets. It is a 10min walk to the White Beach. The room was okay ;) we are satisfied by what is inside because the bed was okay as well as the clean linens. However, the CR is quite small, only one person really can enter the CR. there is a veranda but i think it is not very useful because there is no scenerey outside to look at. I used the veranda for drying our wet clothes from the beach. Also, before you can go to the room, you will have to enter the Sheng Salon. Well, they won't mind you getting up and down.

Our agenda during this trip was to attend a convention, so we looked for a cheap place to stay just for sleepibg purposes as we were out the whole day. You Definitely get what you pay, so dont expect a 5-star hotel standard here. However, Juri was especially helpful and accomodating. Not for families and for those who want to be near the beach.

Good points are: - Central location, 5 minutes walking to D'mall and White beach & Epic pub - Clean room - Strong Wifi Minus points are: - Difficult to find the location - because no signal of hostel in the front, has to ask Sheng Salon - it is in the second floor - There are likely 2 rooms only in this hostel, back and front - Toilet is so small Overall, it is quite OK for budget.

We got 2 rooms for the whole family and both rooms were clean. The aircondition was good as well. The wifi got slow sometimes. The only thing i don't like even my family is the security of the place. There was only 1 lock on the door downstairs. We need to bring all our valuable things including all our money to wherever we are going just to make sure. We stayed 3nights and no one clean the rooms and they did not change our towels for 3nights. The room itself was good but the service wasnt good at all.

We stayed there for 2 night. We came early because of our early flight our accomodation is 2 pm but the owner allowed us to left our luggages to the vacant room so that we can start our experience. The room is small but nice. The aircon is good.. over all we had a great time because under our room is an eatery.. less expensive than eating in a restaurant. :) we'll go back there definitely. :)

Value For Money But Location Not Near White Beach”
Value for money but I just want to suggest that they put a cabinet or a simple hanger so that guests can have a space to put their clothes and stuff. Wifi is also very slow inside the room.
