How does this homestay get one star only???”
Jojies Homestay was excellent. The room was clean, well furnished, and had an excellent bathroom with a lovely shower. It is situated in a quiet backstreet but close to where the action is. We walked to most places, or got an inexpensive tuktuk. The Rs.300 breakfast was amazing! It consisted of fruit (mango, pineapple, banana) omelette, curry and noodle cakes, toast, butter and jam, T or coffee. Extremely generous quantities! (served in the lovely roof terrace) Our hosts Doyle and Sophie assisted us in every way. Recommending cafés, restaurants and cultural activities locally initially. Towards the end of our four day stay they helped plan our onward journey. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay in fort Kochi which was certainly helped by our hosts. I had an excellent stay at Jojie's. Doyal and Sophie really went above in beyond in making sure I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. My room was spotless and spacious (with a balcony!) and it was great to have good wifi and hot water showers. My hosts worked hard to give me tips and help me navigate Fort Kochi as a solo traveler. Highly recommend!

Had the best stay at Jojie’s! Sophie and Doyle couldn’t have been more helpful, they helped plan our journey to where we were going next, showed us a map of Fort Kochi and where to go and booked our train tickets for us the next day. Also amazing breakfast with other travellers on the rooftop. Would recommend to everyone and thank you for such a great stay!

Perfect hosts in great location ”
Great location, close to Fort Kochi and Mattancherry - we walked everywhere. Room was neat and comfy with really good shower/bathroom. Doyle and Sophie were perfect hosts, really helpful and friendly and made huge tasty breakfasts if requested. Strong recommendation.

Pros- Location, hidden off main streets so its quiet. But good walkable distance from fort cochins shops and restaurants. Staff. They are super friendly (Doyle & Sophia) and helpful. Doyle would spend over an hour giving advice on where to go and what to see in kerela. Breakfast was delicious and eaten with the rest of the house guests at the rooftop garden. Excellent vibe. Cons- Wifi was a little on/off at times but other than that I would fully recommend this place to anyone.

Le meilleur accueil que nous avons pu avoir, les hôtes sont d'une gentillesse remarquable, nous accueillant dans leur maison familiale. Nous avions notre totale autonomie, et avons pu goûter leur petit déjeuner proposé sur leur rooftop végétal très joli. Emplacement idéal et supers conseils pour explorer les environs de Fort Cochin (restos, musées, places de spectacle Kathakali prépayées par les hôtes etc.) Nous reviendrons les yeux fermés dans cette belle maison familiale.
