Jomtien Thani Hotel

This Hotel is highly frequentet by Chinese travelgroups, they arrive late in the evenning and depature early in the morning. So there is a lot of noise at this time. Unfourtuently they have a really bad behavior, shouting loud over the whole hall and don't care about other guests.

The hotel has an excellent location. Everything was good so far, the breakfast I liked very much, since they had a real coffee machine. Only one negative point: in the evening, there are arriving buses with noisy people from a big Asian country. There is one hour suffering (yelling, slapping doors). The hotel staff is aware of it and they try to calm those people down.

Great location on Soi 5, 300 mtrs to beach and the baht bus route. Big, spacious, and clean the staff are excellent friendly and helpful Bae and her team deserve huge credit. Rooms are spacious clean and well appointed, huge comfy bed, sea and pool view from a small balcony, big rain shower, fresh linen, bathrobes etc . Wide selection of breakfast menu, Thai, Asian, European, Thani has benefitted from some refurb since my last visit, definitely stay next time and highly reccommend. Thankyou Thani, Bae and her team.

Gute Lage: ruhig, nahe zum Strand und zu vielen Restaurants – vom Balkon schöner Blick aufs Meer - älteres Hotel: großes Zimmer (Superior gebucht) sollte renoviert werden, Kühlschrank steht wackelig auf einem Stuhl; besonders das Bad ist renovierungsbedürftig, wobei neue WC-Schüssel installiert – Zimmer und Badezimmer bei täglicher Reinigung sehr sauber – freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal – sehr schnelles, kostenloses Internet – großer Pool – zahlreiche chinesische Reisegruppen – reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet (asiatisch und kontinental), hat sich seit den letzten beiden Aufenthalten sehr verbessert – insgesamt ein wesentlich besserer Eindruck als in vergangenen Jahren – jetzt wieder gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. For the price I paid, I could have gotten the best one yet I'm not saying I had a bad stay here. (Value for money) just so you know, Pattaya is an expensive city than Bangkok I couldn't see the justification on it, aaahhh perhaps because there are plenty of farang (foreigners)? still it isn't something to be right. (Location) Accessible for everything and quite I was on the 11th floor though. (Cleanliness) Old building structures, at least my room was clean and smells good. Love the antique look of their interior designs at the reception. (Staff/s) were very accommodated and spoke English fluently. (Facilities) like what? An outdoor pool was alright I saw a few bird shit around it. Sauna wasn't even functioning, the inside smelt like it was abandoned for a longtime ago. Pool table? No one was ever playing. Gym? Tiny and nobody was grinding, I could have tried but I chose to plunge into the pool. Elevator? it was okay it lifted me up and down. Have a good day!

Fantastic breakfast suitable for all tastes. Help from staff more than excellent. We messed up booking, lost breakfast coupons, as if we wanted to test them and everything was done with calm, efficiently and in a friendly matter.

Overall was very happy with it but the hotel does need an update as it looks very tired but I think they were in the process of doing this. Only issue was when they checked a massive group of people in at 5am who proceeded to scream all down the corridor and wake us up, including our 5year old. Also the maids were on the floor at 7am every morning

Even a bit old for the room but acceptable for the price. The pool was good and clean. Breakfast is ok.

Having stayed here 2 years ago , I was happy to see the maintenance and facelift had been completed. The addition of a small roadside cafe on Soi 5 wad also a nice touch. Totally professional and we'll run establishment.

Beautiful lobby, rooms are old but clean with solid furnishings and space to roam. Breakfast is basic but plentiful. Pool area is nice but pool itself is unsafe and in need of renovations. Good overall deal!

The hotel is ageing but the rooms are clean and have nice balconies with good sea views. The pool is a uniformed 1.5 mt deep and good for those who can’t swim or for kids. There is a jet powered pool and a kids pool attached. It is very popular with groups, mainly Asian who come in lots of up to 12 bus loads and are gone the next day. Breakfast is very good except very early when there are the groups in the breakfast and reception area. They are very noisy and very chaotic. Leave breakfast until after 0800 hrs when the groups have gone. The rooms are clean with decent facilities, ie large fridge, 2 bottles of water a day, flat screen TV. Bathrooms are quite acceptable except thet the hot water is available only up until about 1030 hrs and then again later in the evening. In between these times the water is warm enough to shower, if using the hot water supply only. The towels are getting on a bit and should be replaced. Towels for the beach are available near the hotel exit but at times are all gone by 1030 hrs. Some of the towels offered had tears and were very thin. Overall though I would happily stay at Jomtien Thani again

I stayed in bangkok and i had a very pleasant stay there.But unfortunately in pattaya this hotel was under my expectations.I told the receiption guy about how i am disappointed with the level of the room.I won't stay again in this hotel because the room is small,furniture and towels are very old, the bathroom and its curtains was not clean( fungi on the curtains),even i told the reception to change the room and he was so kind to show me another room but the same problem.The reception people ,restaurant and security staff all was so kind and good.the view of the room was so nice and swimming pool was ok. but the room it self doesn't deserve the money we paid for it.The hotel looks great from out side only.I think it needs room renovation.

The Jomtien Thani is a pleasant, older style hotel that has nice, but a little dated rooms and a reasonable pool area. The lobby area is very grand and there is even live music at night. The breakfast was quite good compared to other hotels in Thailand in the same price range, a very large selection to cater or all tastes. The staff were the real strong point, always pleasant, polite and helpful. The security man at the lifts was particularly friendly and helpful. The asking price for WiFi is a bit expensive (200 baht per hour) and should be included in the room rate or prices dropped to be more competitive. The AC was quite good and rooms stayed cool even when the AC was turned off when the room key was removed. There are several inexpensive restaurants nearby.

Great location walking distance of beach. Lots of shops nearby. Room comfortable and kept very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed using the swimming pool. Our rooms had a fantastic view. Lots to choose from for breakfast every morning. My children and I enjoyed our stay

The food isn’t cooked properly and the water from the tap in the bathroom smells of sewage. The whole hotel needs an overhaul and Agoda need to check it out before giving it 4 Stars. I spent half my holiday laid up in bed with sickness and diarrhoea, and another guest was taken to hospital by ambulance with the same problem!!

As a regular trailer have found that Chinese and Indian are noisy and along with door banging. If you get a bus load good luck for the door banging. This is not the hotel fault really and have to except these people to make a living.

Good value for the money. Good buffet breakfast included in price of room. Good pool that has sun all day and a view of ocean. Bathroom a bit run down needs some updates. They need to put padding on door jams of entrance to rooms. Very noisy in morning when people leaving very load. The maids have a phone system that they use which is very noisy in the morning should be changed to pagers or waikie talkies.

Cheap mass tourist hotel. Big tour groups, noisy at night, rooms run down. Varied breakfast. Cheap and you get what you pay for.

Rooms old but clean.nice swimming pool.very polite staff.very good breakfast.only downside easy the amount of Chinese tourists who are very loud and inconsiderate of other guests.
