Nice little hotel”
The room was perfect with low beds for our little ones. It was clean and stylish. The lobby has a kitchen and lounging area which is perfect for getting together with friends. There are plenty of options nearby for food, but we still walked under the tracks to get to the downtown side, to see some of the historical monuments and go to some of our must-sees in Tainan.

Nice Hostel ”
Lovely hostel not far from the train station, cosy common living room and kitchen area. The shower rooms are a bit tight with only two toilets next to them, sometimes have to queue for toilets. The lady who worked in the reception at night brings her own cat to the hostel which should be clearly stated on the hostel description so that people who are allergic to cat like me can book elsewhere. The first night when I feel the itchiness, I though it just because of the place is not clean enough, then the second night I saw the cat jumped up to the kitchen table and realised the cause of the itchiness so I told her my allergy as well as the asthma reaction to cat and asked the staff (cat owner) to keep it away from common area, that staff ignorantly said, the cat only stays in the ground floor and I shouldn't worry, she clearly doesn't understand the point at all.

Super cool place, not too far from Tainan sighta”
This is a really cool place! The style is awesome and there's a great shared kitchen on the first floor. It's a hostel but it also has nice private rooms with private baths. Our family stayed in a room with two low-to-the-ground double beds on a platform. It felt very safe for the kids. We had no issues with noise like some other reviewers but our room provided ear plugs just in case! Its location is on the east (rear) side of the train station but there is a walking tunnel right there to get to the other side and we were able to walk to Nanmen Park and the sights along the way with no problem!

Nice hostel”
Nice hostel in good location. I stay in 4 ppl dorms room, so far not much problem. The location is conveince near NCKU and Tainan TRA station, and a lot of food store around. They provide private locker (which is good).Their facilities is as good as "hostel" can be, so prepare yourself, you get what you paid for. And the decoration is nice. They have quite few rules that some might complain about but I think it all make sense, since you live with people difference culture background, the rule make everything smoother. So far I satisfy.

The hostel is located near the train station just 5 minutes walk and also close to NCKU. Surrounded with lots of restaurant which are not pricey. Nice staff. - Service in both Mandarin and English. A bathroom is a bit too little but it's okay Comfortable bed

Good but overpriced place for Tainan”
I've stayed in many hostels in Taiwan therefore I think I can objectively compare. Journey hostel is located conveniently close to Tainan train station and NCKU. I decided to stay there because I needed to visit the university. I think it's overpriced for Tainan. You could find 30% cheaper places. My room was facing a road so it was very noisy. When I entered a room, I found out that my bed was used by someone else already. Turns out that person misunderstood her bed's position. Anyway such cases could be easily resolved if staff would show you your room. I just got a card and was free to go. Usually I would be shown a room in my previous experience. I don't know if owners would read it but the shower in the middle on the second floor is leaking. You have to use hostel's sleepers, can't use your own. They don't provide a towel. I found it strange. Why would you push to use your sleepers but don't provide a towel. I would not stay there again.

Indeed this hostel has a LOT of rules! I bet the owner has OCD. Haha. But overall it’s fine, the rules keep the hostel clean and fresh (e.g. not leaving your shoes at the ground floor). What I didn’t like though is the height of their bunk beds, I specifically requested for a lower bunk but when I arrived they gave me an upper bunk which is too high to climb - there is 50% chance of falling. The staff is so-so, not friendly, but civil. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

Pretty nice and tiny place and clean”
There are lot's of friends and family group of people in this hostel, and Lobby area is lacking of tables which is not so friendly for solo travelers ,and also just a little bit inconvenient that you have to use room card to enter your room. i almost forget to bring my room card when i go to shower, toilet. However, is a quiet and nice designed hostel, nice for a quick stay but it's not a place where you can make friends.

One the most satisfying hostel I've ever stayed at. ”
Stayed at the female dorm for two nights. - Good Location: 3-min walk to Tainan train station and to a street full of local foodies. - The hostel is very new and clean. Stylishly furnished common area and kitchen. Dorm room was big, with table and chair inside the dorm room. There were spaces to put things beside each dorm bed. Lockers are huge enough to put everything including the big backpack and suitcase in too. Wifi was fast and air con was adequate. The shared bathroom was clean and shampoo, soap and conditioner were provided. - Staff was helpful and kind. I had my room changed because the locker was not functioning. Even though breakfast was not included, there were a lot of budget options around the area or you can cook yourself in the kitchen. Considering everything and the low price, it's the best hostel I stayed at in Taiwan.

New hostel with good location ”
Location is great that is 5 mins walk from tainan train station, new hostel with a lot of details. Love to have the balcony even for 4 beds dorm. Wifi is stable and good air-conditioning for hot tainan. Love the university sports field nearby as well which can go running in just 5 mins distance. Cats are so cute and adorable too! Will stay again if I visit Tainan in the future
