I stayed at the Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku during my previous visit in Tokyo, but the property didn't have triple room for this trip. I was also told by a trusted friend that their service has been going downhill. She then suggested JR Kyushu Blossom, just a block away, and I am so glad that I took her advise. JR Kyushu Blossom is a smaller, almost boutique style hotel, but better room layout. The staff are all friendly and helpful, most evident when my 9-year-old had an eye infection, and they provided a great recommendation for an English speaking doctor in nearby Shibuya. We had a 2-night gap (heading to Osaka) in the middle of this trip so we got to check most of our luggage at JR Kyushu Blossom, taking only a small luggage down South. When we returned to Tokyo and checked back in the hotel, the 2 pieces of luggage we checked with them were already delivered up to the room. Just little things, little gestures, that show they do care about their customers. We also ran into a room rate discrepancy with Agoda and the hotel, but both parties resolved it nicely and all is well in the end. The location is centralized and very convenient. Works great when Lawson is just steps away, and for my American kids, MacDonald right at the street corner is a welcome sight! As my 12-year-old said, we'll definitely be staying at this hotel whenever we visit Tokyo.
My New Favorite Tokyo Hotel”
Looking for a hotel is one of the most arduous and critical decisions one makes when one travels. There are so many considerations to be made. In my last trip to Tokyo from the 26th of February to the 4th of March. I found the one hotel I will be staying in every time I visit Tokyo. That hotel is JR KYUSHU BLOSSOM HOTEL SHINJUKU! I absolutely love this hotel. First, the location is key. It is right off the JR Shinjuku Station. Just take the Koshu Kaido exit then turn left and follow the road down. The hotel is less than 5 minutes away in a small quiet alley right off the main road. This is ideal because it makes it quiet. The lobby is big and clean and the rooms are bigger than the average Tokyo hotel room size. The bathroom though is MY FAVORITE thing about the room. I'm actually thinking of redesigning my bathroom to look like the bathroom in this hotel. What I would love though is if the hotel had a small fitness center. The internet was fast and reliable. I love this Hotel!
Excellent location, modern and perfect”
JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom is located near to the Shinjuku JR station and is approximately 25mins drive from Tokyo Haneda Airport. The location is a big selling point and having booked through Agoda on the multiple occasions that I've stayed here, breakfast has always been included which is a terrific bonus with the excellent mix of Western and Japanese fare. The hotel comes equipped with 2 coin-operated washing machines and dryers on 2 separate floors, which is another little added facility that is a welcomed bonus. There are also vending machines selling drinks and ice machines and trouser presses available. Will definitely return.
Great location, clean room and polite staff”
My stay at JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku was great! I had a smoking room but it did not smell at all. The twin beds were comfortable and bigger than expected. The staff were polite and spoke and understood sufficient basic English. I especially like the location because there are plenty of food and entertainment outlets around and it is 2 to 3 minutes walk to Shinjuku station. Accessible! There is a Lawson convenience store just beside the hotel, which makes for good quick on-the-go breakfasts and/or late night snacks.
I would like to give a big thumbs-up to JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku. The hotel is located strategically within minutes of walk from Shinjuku station. The hotel room was exceptionally clean and spotless to be exact. The room is spacious for single. Will certainly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Keep up the great work!
Good hotel in a good location!”
Our short stay in JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku was very pleasant. Hotel was located close to Shinjuku station, and further away from Kabukicho, which is handy if you're looking for a slightly quieter spot! The room itself is reasonably sized for Tokyo standards, and priced well.
Value for money, excellent location & very friendly staff!”
First time in Toyko, and made the right choice to have our 4 nights in JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku! Simply love the convenience, warm greetings by counter staffs each time we enter and exit the hotel, cleanliness & space of the room! Highly recommended and would definitely make this my top choice once again if we travel to Toyko. Great experience!
JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku”
I stayed at JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku for a total of three nights. It was an excellent experience. The location is tucked just outside of the bustling streets but not too far from the convenience of the JR station. The rooms are clean, cozy and met all my needs (especially a washing machine and dryer on certain floors). I recommend this hotel if you are in Tokyo.
Sleek, simple and modern”
We stayed at the JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku and while it is located by the Shinjuku Station, we never quite figured out how to navigate the sprawling station to get to the exit closest to the hotel. But that's our failure. (The hotel itself isn't too far from the new south exit, but there are other, more obscure exits that'll deposit you even closer to its doorstep, but we could never find those from within the station.) There's a really beautiful, modern, sculptural, multi-storey concrete shrine behind the hotel, and that's what our room faced; at the expense of a more panoramic city view on the other side. Art and sculpture fill the spacious and well-designed lobby, setting a nice tone for the stay from the moment you walk through the front doors. The room itself wasn't very spacious, but it was designed well enough (practical furnishing, clever shelving) to mitigate some of the cramping we'd experience in other hotel rooms of the same size. Everything was clean, new and considered. There's quite a bit to appreciate particularly when it comes to aesthetics and detail, and absolutely nothing at all to complain about. A solid choice if you're making Shinjuku the base for your Tokyo urban adventure.
JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom is very accessible from and to Shinjuku Train Station, a real plus point for transport. Hotel staff is always professional and helpful. We had our luggage being forwarded from Kyoto and the luggage was already in the room when we checked in. Initially, a bit difficult to find, but after the first day, it was a breeze.
Recommended Hotel for Tokyo sight seeing”
Location is really convenient close to JR Shinjuku station. You can go to many attraction in Shinjuku from this hotel and almost all are within walking distance like Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office which you can go to observatory deck for a good panoramic view of Tokyo for free, Kabukicho is Japan's largest red light district and many department store, and etc. Due to JR Shinjuku station is like central hub station you can get to many part of Tokyo or even all over Japan from this station careful when navigate in this station through because you can get lost here easily. Plenty of shop and restaurant around the hotel and some restaurant are open 24 hours too. 3-4 convenient store like Lawson, Family-mart, 7-11 are locate really close to the hotel, Lawson is locate next-door to the hotel so it's really good if you need to have some quick snack or meal. The rooms are clean and really comfortable have all facility you need also in my opinion room size is bigger than other hotel of the same level. Staff are really polite and helpful.
Modern & convenient new hotel”
I choose this hotel coz stayed 3 nights at JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Chuo in Mar this year, this Shinjuku one also has the modern & comfortable style which is located just opposite to south exit of JR station, good for people who not prefer the very busy area near east exit of JR station
Clean, Comfortable, and Spacious Room”
We, two adults and one child, stayed at JR Kyushu Blossom Hotel for three nights. The room was very clean and everything was organized and arranged properly. The location is close to all major subway and rail stations. Shopping is within walking distance. The neighborhood is not as crowded as 歌舞伎町. This is a great hotel for whoever wants to stay in Shinjuku without the trouble of having to pass through the crowd every time going out.
The stay in JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku was absolutely awesome! very strategic located in Shinjuku area, hotel was relatively bigger size than other hotels to put two big size luggages, staffs are very attentive too.
One plesant night stay in Tokyo”
Only short stay at JR Kyushu hotel Blossom Shinjuku. Hotel facilities are modern, clean and safe. Hotel is quite close to JR Shinjuku that easily connect to Narita Airport via NEX. Breakfast is nice.
Location is fantastic ”
We were very happy with the JR Blossom. The hotel is in a great location on a quiet street but still very close to the Shinjuku station. Tons of food options nearby We came with a large number of bags and just used the Airport Limousine bus from Haneda directly to the Hotel Sunroute next door and also left from the Sunroute. AC is super strong, bathroom is very spacious. We had a Superior Twin for 4 people and it was a good size for us as our kids are still young. Two very minor negatives. 1. WiFi is kind of weak. Don’t expect to stream movies on it. Not a problem for us as we had a PocketWifi for our trip but something worth noting. 2. The laundry machine is good for very, very small loads only. The size of one single plastic laundry bag that they provide you. 300 yen for a wash - soap included. 100 yen for 30m of drying - you’ll probably need 60m of drying minimum if you have any cotton. All in all, I’ll be coming here again for my next Tokyo trip. Great experience.
Beautifull Hotel near Shinjuku Station (JR/METRO)”
JR Kyushu Hotel is located near JR Shinkjuku Station (5-10mins walk) South Terrace Exit (if taking NEX) Rooms are new and clean. Bathrooms are ample for my size 5'10 frame. Lobby is not as big as Sunroute Hotel (which is beside this hotel) but JR Kyushu is more upscale feeling and design. Rooms are quite small (single room / twin). Hotel is presentable for business transaction at the lobby. Has free internet (wifi) and has business cubicle that you can use for free. Staff were attentive to our needs but not flexible about our reservation to upgrade to a higher or bigger room even if i offer to pay. It has lots of shops and restaurants near-by and accessible also by Metro Subway Station. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
Love the hotel location as its near the main shinjuku station and bus terminal. So easily access to and fro from airport. Hotel allows you to keep your luggage pior before u check in as we went to Osaka first. Thus we arrange the luggage to be delivered to JR blossoms and we hand carried a small cabin luggage to Osaka instead. By the time we check in to JR blossom 3 days later, our luggages has aleady arrived safely and it's already inside our rooms. Perfect!
Good value for money”
We stayed in JR Kyushu in March 2016 for 3 nights. The location can't be beat. There is a Lawson store right beside the hotel, a Mc Donald's at the corner and a coffee shop right across. Easy to get to and from the airport via the airport limousine service (2 options for the airport limousine bus stop - Sunroute Hotel which nearer but with less frequency or the West exit of the Shinjuku train station which is a bit farther away but the airport bus comes by every 20 or so minutes). Comfortable bed, friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Choice of convenience in Shinjuku”
My stay at JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku was great. I chose this hotel because of its superior location. I arrived hotel at midnight due to flight delay, and left at 9am next morning. It saves me lots of time in connecting transportation. If budget is your first priority, this hotel may not be a good pick.
