our stay”
Our stay at the jubilee motor inn was quite pleasant under the circumstances of our visit, as we had to come down to Mt Gambier for my father's funeral. We did notice a little bit of dirt on the skirting boards of the bathroom and some dust on the wall.
Simple and comfortable”
We had a pleasant stay at Jubilee Motor Inn. We were happy with our room, it was clean, much larger than expected, with a sofa and table too. Check in was easy even though we arrived late. The surroundings were quiet, and we liked the fact that the rooms were low-density. We found the location a bit far, but we drove so it wasn't a problem. We will definitely stay here again!
Exceeded our expectation”
Room was clean and well maintained. It's close to Umpherstone Sinkhole which is a must visit when in Mt. Gambier
Convenient”
The Inn is conveniently located next to the Sinkhole Garden - found it when I went for a run in the morning - which is beautiful. It is also right next to a Caltex so you can fill up before heading off to your next destination. It's clean and decently priced, perfect for a passing stop on your way to or from Adelaide - Melbourne.
Good location but old and small rooms”
My GPS could not locate this hotel which is located on the East of the Highway and about 2km from Mt Gambier. It took us nearly 1 hour to reach ! The hosts were polite and good, but the rooms were very old with rusty toilet and discolored floors. But for the price we paid, such rooms were reasonably priced. The sink hole was just 100 meters away and the great Blue Lake was 500 meters from the hotel.
Fantastic stay - no complaints!!”
Of all the places we stayed on our two week trip, this was one of the best budget hotels. We booked online late afternoon and were arriving late for one night only. We were pleasantly surprised to find staff there waiting almost an hour after reception closed to check us in and the staff we dealt with were so friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. It is an older hotel but still in acceptable condition and I would not hesitate to stay there again or for a longer period.
Better than i ever expected”
Excellent. Only low rating was food because there is no room service, but what do you expect from a motel :) Room was big enough for three people easily, fitment of the rooms is a little ' old style ' but otherwise everything was great. They even have a pool, BBQ area, self-serve laundromat and a servo next door if needed. Just don't get a 'front' room because the noise off the highway would be devastating.
Clean, comfortable, convenient and great value! ”
Fantastic room, very comfortable and well laid out. Toilet is extremely clean and has new white tiles. There is a small dining table with 2 chairs and a 2 seater lounge. The LCD TV is very nice and big, everything I needed was right there and parking right outside the door. Curtains are thick and block out the sun very well. There is a restaurant that operates Mon to Thurs which I didn't use but the info book had all the information I needed and the motel has free WiFi!
A great little motel”
This motel is very convenient with a restaurant,or you can go to the Road house next door fantastic Chicken and burgers. The is bbq area and under cover heated swimming pool.Rooms are old style but very clean and tidy with good soap and shampoo supplied. It close to the park next door with great gardens and Umpheson sink hole which has been turned into beautiful sunken gardens great for a picnic. Overall great place to stay with very helpful staff who make feel very welcome and give great advise about all the sights to see.
weekend stay at Jubille Motor Inn”
Functional and comfortable room. Hosts were well prepared for our late arrival, keys, and heater already on for us! Attended to light globe issue promptly. Surprisingly quiet location despite being on main road; so that was a pleasant surprise. Definitely would stay there again.
Acceptable”
When you finally find this place, as it is addressed as Jubilee Highway East - ok if you have local knowledge, but is Princes Highway on most GPS's. The units are servicable, the staff friendly - but defencive of there address, when asked about it.
Value for money.”
Budget room was noisy from traffic but comfortable and good for the price.
It’s okay to stay over night ”
We did stay over night, the room itself is quiet basic nothing too fancy. The location is convenient. You get tea and coffee at room if you wan to. Check in and out is simple. We pretty much just slept so didn’t use any facility at place.
As expected”
as expected, being the budget room we were right on the main road, which is OK if you can handle traffic noise. If this is a problem book a different room as the hotel itself is not to bad.
Great value and comfy accommodation”
It has a nice spacious shower. Has everything you could need from hair dryer, to kettle, to iron. Clean and tidy. Great customer service, friendly staff. I was surprised that even with the truck stop next door I didn't hear them at all through the night! 10/10 would stay here again!
Scuba Diving Weekend”
Lovely staff. I was arriving very late on a hot day and when I arrived they had put the air conditioning unit in for me in my room. Very thoughtful.
Near the Sink Hole ”
Hotel is very old and looks it, but has good hot showers. No water restrictors here. Good for quick overnight stay. Service station next door. Sinkhole garden on the town side. Heated indoor pool. Can smell chemical or something from near by timber sawmills.
Very good”
We were greeted with a friendly smile and very helpful information. The room was good too. Some eateries were in walking distance. The only downer I had and it’s only very small is the bathroom in our room needed a better clean. Wasn’t the best cleaned shower cubicle but you knew it was clean. I would stay here again.
Jubilee hotel Mt Gambier”
Our stay was fairly comfortable. A few things in the room needed attention. Flyscreen on window to the Left was falling out. No secure lock on window either just a pole to keep both windows shut. Fan in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in however long. full of dirt. The aircon worked well but was broken in parts. Thought it may have had some toiletries to go with the EXC room but no. Good job we brought our own. Trucks going past were very noisy. Staying for 3 days we should have had a back room away from the traffic. Hand towel and face washer needed to be provided with the bath towels etc as there was none provided.
very basic accomondation”
If your looking for a place where you only need a bed then this is the place. However if you need more things this is not the place. For what I pay and the location of it I was happy.
