The host was super helpful, very clear information about the whole process of collecting keys to where the apartment is. She provided video of everything and it was super easy collecting the keys. The apartment was super clean, really outstanding. The view from the apartment and location is even better than what one can see on the photos, and the view in the evening onto the harbour was magical. I added a photo of the day and night view from the apartment.

The apartment is on the 2nd floor of an old building with no elevator. The steps are really steep and I would not recommend this apartment for older people and even for us getting our luggage up and down was difficult.

A very steep staircase to reach the second floor and no one to help! Really old fashioned furniture! Only one air condition in the whole apartment so people living in the bedroom had to leave the door open! The agent was not really helpful! Had to drag us to her work to get the key for the check in instead of meeting us at the apartment or providing self check in. The front door was not opening and we were waiting for her for one hour to come and explain.

OK, IF YOU ARE GOING TO STAY HERE YOU SHOULD KNOW THE FOLLOWING: The keys for the apartment are not available in Portofino. You will have to collect them in nearby Santa Margherita Ligure. As we were travelling by train this was not convenient to have to stop in this town and walk to the office with our luggage. When we got to the office the key safe wouldn’t open. The keys were in a different safe we discovered. In the safe were two different sets of keys. This was confusing. We called our contact person about this - they didn’t answer. We eventually got someone else on the phone who said that both sets of keys were for our apartment. We explained that they were different. They said “no, they’re the same”. We made it to the apartment in Portofino - lovely location. We couldn’t get the front door open, but more on that later. BE AWARE - there is a very long, very steep, very narrow and very dark flight of stairs from the front door to the apartment. You may find this difficult to manage. BE AWARE - the apartment is not signed in any way. You’ll have to guess where it is. BE AWARE - the apartment has nothing provided for you. There’s no tea/coffee/milk/biscuits/snacks/anything. There’s a “kitchenette” but you need to know that there’s no supermarket in Portofino to buy anything. We paid $900AUD for two nights. Would it be so hard to provide at least something for the arriving traveller?? ALSO - the shower does not drain properly, and there were what looked like small blood stains on the sheets. ALSO - during the night some sort of plumbing noise/vibration went on at the rear of the apartment, for hours at a time. I was unable to resolve this. BACK TO THE FRONT DOOR - after we went out for a while we returned to find that the key wouldn’t open the front door. At all. Totally stuffed. The lock is old and sticky and needs replacing. Eventually we got a guy from the shop next door to try it and we finally managed to get it open.

The photos of the property and view were accurate, and I could not take better photos. There is no way to leave Portofino with a negative opinion....simply one of the most beautiful spots in the world.

We had difficulty contacting the management team. there were some issues with the apartment, primarily the WiFi. Management might have known before our arrival, but we were never able to use the WiFi during our entire stay at the property. Parking is expensive. Very disappointing.

you had to collect t keys in Santa marguerita.. trains and taxis all on strike in Milan and Genoa . when got to Santa marguerita a taxi was €45 for 4 km . plus he would not wait or take us to supermarket.

The location was terrific

The front door key was very hard to operate the whole time we were there, even though the agent changed our keys. No tea/coffee or sugar. We had to take our own rubbish away or there was a fine!!!

Les séjours à Portofino se suivent et se ressemblent par leur beauté. Loger Calata Marconi fait partie du décor enchanteur.

Pas de machine à café Très peu d’ustensiles de cuisine ce qui nous oblige à déjeuner et dîner au restaurant tous les jours.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’emplacement et l’appartement était sympathique même si ce n’est pas trop étudié pour 4 personnes car la chambre est ouverte sur le séjour. Récupération des clés très facile.

La climatisation au fond de l’appartement dégage une mauvaise odeur d’humidité, ce qui fait qu’on a préféré ne pas l’utiliser. Le ventilateur de la chambre est minuscule et ne sert pas à grand chose par grosse chaleur.

Die Wohnung liegt mitten in Portofino, da gibt es wenig Optimierungsmöglichkeit und ist mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Zusätzlich ist es trotz zentraler Lage ruhig. Der Kontakt lief unkompliziert via WhatsApp. Die Klimaanlage der Wohnung funktioniert sehr gut, wodurch es sehr angenehm ist, dort zu schlafen.

Die Anreise zur Wohnung ist etwas umständlich, mit dem Auto ist es eine sehr enge Straße, wovon wir bei größeren Fahrzeugen zur Hauptsaison abraten würden, stattdessen gibt es einen Bus, der direkt von der Übergabe der Schlüssel nach Portofino fährt. Die Wohnung selbst ist in der zweiten Etage über eine sehr steile Treppe zugänglich. Der Müll der Wohnung muss selbst entsorgt werden. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung ist insgesamt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Auch wir hatten leichte Probleme mit dem Schlüssel in der Haustür, da das Schloss klemmt. Dennoch ist die Wohnung wenn man sich mitten in Portofino aufhalten möchte empfehlenswert

Si sente un po’ di odore di umidità dentro la casa, ma a Portofino in questo periodo è probabilmente normale. Inoltre arriva un po’ l’odore della cucina dai ristoranti di sotto, ma anche quello è normale essendo proprio sulla piazzetta.
