Lovely homestay and great hospitality”
Enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Julie's Garden. Host was very warm and welcoming who arranged for FREE transportation to Cingjing Farm. She also helped us book a driver to Taichung. Highly recommend to book their breakfast as the nearest food place is about 7-10min walk down the road. There are no proper pavements so you will have to walk by the roadside. 7-11 is also a 10min walk away.

Electric heater in bed, friendly dog hanging around, very good service from staff, nice room with balcony with nice views of the mountains, and tasty breakfast every morning!

great stay”
Lovely owners and great place for kids. Views from room, breakfast and dog were also highlights. One thing: hard to find. No English signs. English name AND Chinese address led us astray in google maps. Use Chinese name. If you hit 火锅城 on main road coming up the mountain, you have gone too far and need to turn around and look for very small street a few dozen meter back. Fantastic stay.

Exceptional”
Hospitable lady boss & staff. Provided transport to the green green grasslands, and willing to help us charter transport if necessary. The room was clean, well-decorated & had a small balcony with a swing for one to rest & relax while admiring mountain views. Other bigger rooms come with slides. Morn breakfast provided was of a good variety.

Great place to stay at with friendly owner. Accommodation boast a wonderful view from the rooms. Road up to the homestay maybe tough if walking upward as it is rather steep

Slide in a room is an amenity that you did not know you need until now”
My young children thoroughly enjoyed having a slide in a room. They did not ask for a single minute of TV. Room was clean and food was simple.

Exceptional”
Stayed 2 nights at Fon Chin Homestay and it ended up being our, my mom and I's, favourite stay in our entire Taiwan trip. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and the mountain view from the balcony was drop-dead gorgeous. Food was largely enjoyable. The homestay also provides shuttle service to a few spots. Travellers should take note that there is a relatively short but steep hill to the homestay from the main road. Those travelling with elderly or children may consider arranging car service to the accommodation. Those travelling by (Nantou) bus, like us, should alight at Qingjing Longzhuang 清境龍莊 stop, do press the bell after the Zi Xinyuan 茲心園 stop. Overall a fantastic stay.

A nice and nature place to stay in! ”
Fon Chin homestay is a nice place to stay in. The bosses and staff there were very warming, friendly and helpful during our stay there. Dinner can be ordered though Fon Chin if you do not feel like going out at night. They even provided free delicious snacks at night!

Super friendly staff and great view at Fon Chin!”
Although we alighted at the wrong stop on our way to Fon Chin, the friendly staff helped us over the phone by sending their driver to pick us up. Checking in was fast and efficient as well, and the staff even made recommendations for our itinerary. She provided us with a map of Qingjing Farm and explained the planned itinerary, making it really convenient for us. Pick up from the busier part of the town back to the homestay was available, and our room was very spacious and clean. We had a wonderful stay at Fon Chin!

Refreshing Beautiful Homestay”
Plus points - Good location, nice home cooked breakfast - Taiwanese style, Spacious room facing hills with hot water dispenser outside, Free transport to cingjing farm ; Negative points - no electric blanket (ask for extra blanket, this should suffice), toilet a bit smelly (still tolerable); OVERALL - still a good recommended homestay (I noticed other homestay are way off the main road).

Friendly boss and good view”
First time staying in julie garden, friendly female boss, staffs too. Excellent view in room, clean room, friendly animals roaming around (look out for the two fat cat :) the only cons is in the room towel bowl flush cant seem to flush properly other than this i will recommend julie garden to anyone going to cingjing

Comfort Stay With Friendly Staff”
I had mistakenly carried the wrong luggage when I alighted from the public Natou bus & the staffs assisted me to contact the bus operator & the information centre at Cingjing. Luckily, they managed to find back my luggage & even go to the extra mile to bring it back for me & I greatly appreciate their kind assistance. I am staying in a family suite & the room is very spacious with balcony & nice mountain view. In addition, you can bath with hot shower unlike other minsu where there is no heater provided (read from other blogs) The breakfast even though is just some simple plain porridge with small dishes & bread etc but I find it very delicious to fill it in your stomach in the early morning. The minsu also provide free shuttle to cingjing farm (ask the staff for the time slot & to inform them in advance if you taking the free shuttle). The only inconvenience is that you need to walk up a steep slope abt 5 to 10 minutes with your luggages if you taking public transport in order to reach the minsu or when going back after exploring the surrounding vicinity with your family or friends (very good exercise).

friendly homestay with beautiful view”
overall a good experience, value for money. beeakfast is good, very taiwan family feel. breakfast is beautiful with d view overseeing the mountain landscape. but if want dinner have to arrange beforehand otherwise can just settle dinner at the cafeterias. julie's can arrange transport back to the homestay place at hour intervals. probably can have more time slots for going up the cafeterias and cingjing farm.

Value for money ”
One of the affordable homestay at Cingjing. Room was clean. Staffs were friendly and welcoming. However, toiletries like toothbrush did not cater enough for the number of pax in the room. Maybe slipped off their mind. Room was very cold, need to walk around with slipper on (which was also provided). Wondering if a warmer could be provided in the room would be better.

Second stay here ”
Have chosen Julie's for the second time for the great service they offer. The staff are friendly and go all the way out to offer the assistance you require. The rooms have a pine wood panel, displaying a rustic feel that my family enjoy. Facilities are adequate, with breakfast provided, though the drainage system in the toilet may not be as ideal. Great overall, and would be back again for the affordable price and great service :)

Nice and comfortable stay”
This is a nice and quiet homestay mid way up the high land of Cingjing. A short walk from the Old English Manor but not so near to Swiss Garden and other attraction. The setup of the homestay is very comfortable though a bit aged. The wood interior make it very differently. If you are not comfortable with pets around you, then maybe you need to re-consider as the property has several pet dogs, cats and other farm animals. We have no problem with this and even let the cat roam into our room. For the price they are charging, it is good value for money.

Cleanliness and friendly attitude ”
The staffs are definitely friendlier and it gave us a sensational Home stay feels. I will definitely recommend to all my friends if they gonna visit cingjing in future. It will be one of my priority if I’ve to revisit the place again. Their pets are lovely especially “honey” golden retriever is so adorable !
