Beautiful but expensive resort
Property is very beautiful with private beach. Rooms are neat and comfortable. They have open air restaurant, bar and one bar at beach. Food is very expensive and not worth the money. Room service and hospitality is good and location of the resort is excellent.

A real 5 star resort
From the moment we were welcomed by Robert to the time he waved us goodbye was sheer pleasure. I have spent time at many hotels claiming to be 5 star resorts but this hotel I truly feel deserves this rating. Our room, spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped was on the first floor overlooking a swamp area and the hotel entrance, on the balcony we were serenaded by bird song and could watch flocks of Parakeets and Egrets returning to their roots in the evenings. The hotel grounds, which were pampered as much as the guests were home to all manner of critters including a giant squirrel and we only spotted one snake. The food was amazing and the portions would make Homer Simpson blush. I feel the resorts greatest asset is its staff, a special thank you to Agatha the restaurant manager and Ruwanjith who always seemed to be nearby when we needed something. All the staff we met at JBR were professional, attentive and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay one we will cherish.

A bit overpriced
Overall we enjoyed our stay, lovely beach, great staff. Our daughter enjoyed feeding the fish and turtle in the resort pond. The pool is beautiful. However, we found the accommodation over priced and the food was also too expensive.

Fantastic stay
We stayed a couple nights at jungle beach and really enjoyed ourselves. The design of the hotel is such that you are afforded a lot of privacy, the rooms, food and staff were amazing. The beach is lovely, quiet and relaxing. Our only minor quibble is that the pool is a little too small with no sunbeds available. Highly recommended!

Staff service was excellent. .location is a true escape from contemporary life ...ideal for a honeymoon couple. ...food is good , but need s improvement on fusion of flavours. Food should dilever more contrasts of acidity saltiness , sweetness and texture. Flexibility of staff is commendable.

Overpriced hotel
Good food, friendly staff, great service, quiet relaxing beach
This hotel is overpriced. The rooms are 2 star quality basic rooms. Wifi was very poor. Food was great but overpriced again. Drinks were the same price as in North America or Europe. The hotel had a 30% occupancy rate while we were there. Perhaps if they reduce their prices, they'll have more people wanting to stay.

Service,swimming pool,private beach
Everything is so excellent. Beautiful swimming pool and lovely bar. Amazing private beach and u can enjoy the sunrise and sunset there. Not recommend the self buffet dinner besides the beach if u really care about the tasty of foods. But it still a good experience to enjoy your dinner besides the India ocean.
