Beyond generous and kind
I am a bit speechless over the kindness and generosity shown by the hostess/owner of this place. I screwed up reserving my shuttle to the airport and was resigned to pay a fortune to somehow get off the island to catch my flight when the hostess told me to jump in her car and proceeded to try to run down the shuttle. We didn’t catch up with it so, without batting an eye, she drove me all the way to the ferry (45 minutes one way). I tried to give her money but she refused. Generosity on this level is supernatural and makes me want to rethink my life. (Kind of kidding, but not really) Welcome to Thailand. Oh yeah, and the bungalow was great, too. Quiet, rustic, and clean.

Nice stay
Very peaceful and quiet place. As long as you have a motorbike the location won't be a problem as you need to move about 2km to get to the first beach, convenient stores and restaurants.

Nice huts by Bailan beach
Nice, clean, wooden huts by Bailan beach. The huts were comfortable, they had a nice porch to sit in with wifi connection (if you are in the huts near to the entrance), and an ensuite bathroom. Perfect for backpackers and relatively chilled travellers. Helpful host. Would go back if looking for accommodation by Bailan beach in the future.

Excellent quiet bungalow resort
I appreciated the very friendly, helpful and well-informed staff. The location at Bailan Bay is only a few kilometres from Bang Bao where all the boats to the other islands and the diving and snorkeling excursions start. I loved this location which is off the main hotel spots more in the north of Koh Chang.

Exceptional
Very pleasant stay. Bungalows are great, but some required a little fixing (really minor stuff). Stuff is very assistant. We had a really good stay there. Not very much of places around, but enough to diverse for a week. Two beaches around (one is more wild, other is pleasant) pretty much shallow though. But you can say it about pretty much all beaches on Koh Chang. Good choice if you are looking for quite and casual place to stay.

Would have loved to stay longer
Beautiful, little, huts in nice garden setting with quiet aircon and fan. Our hut was clean and had a mosquito net and also fly screens on all the windows. Breakfast was not included in the price, but you can order it in the morning, which we did twice during our stay or you can walk to one of the many cafes and restaurants close by. They also sell beer and cocktails in the evening in their cute, little bar where you can chill out in a hammock. We loved our stay there and would have stayed longer if we have could, but unfortunately they were booked out. The beach close by is not so great, but we rented a scooter and drove several times to the amazing beach Peter the owner recommended to us. We can definitely recommend this place.

Very quiet, but not entirely comfortable
The bungalows are fairly basic, large bed, very effective AC, fan, mosquito net, bathroom. No fridge or TV here and no daily cleaning service - you need to ask if you need anything cleaned/towels changed. The bathroom has a gap between wall and ceiling making it possible for insects to fly in, due to the location (on the edge of a jungle) there does tend to be alot of insects about. There are a few restaurants closeby but for any real nightlife you have to go to lonely beach, which is walking distance but dimly lit.
