Stunning island”
Loved this place - absolutely amazing! Ring on the most stunning beach! Staff are lovely and although there are a lot of steps staff carried our cases for us! Very small road at the back that has a few restaurants and bars but very very low key! You can also ride bikes to cycle round the island! Just don’t book your onward journey as you might like to stay a lot longer than you thought!

Really nice place to stay in the jungle with ocean view”
We stayed 4 days here and booked a bungalow with ocean view from the side and it was really nice. the bungalow was big, with a table and a private bathroom, but the shower is cold. the bungalow was with balcony with two seats and a hammock. from the bungalow you can see the sunset and in the evening maybe monkeys, but don´t feed them. you walk to your private beach 2 minutes, really nice an clean. at the beach is 5 minutes far away the loma bar with the best sunset view. the stuff from the resort is really friendly, helpfull and good cookings in the restaurant.

Exceptional”
Of my two months travel this was the best stay yet. Spacious, clean and comfortable bungalows, good and well equipped restaurant/lounge. Would only recommend to people who can actually climb stairs multiple times a day. Also there are rocks directly in front of the resort so sometimes you have to walk 100m to a place without rocks to go swimming. There are many ants all over the place which bothered me a bit (not in the bungalow). I saw monkeys 3 of 4 days directly in the trees above. Location is near the road so you can get to a store/restaurant quickly.

Excellent”
We loved our relaxing stay at Jungle Hill Beach Bungalow. Our bungalow had a beautiful beach view (definitely worth the upgrade, just do it!) and it was so nice to just relax on the hammock listening to the waves and enjoying the view. Location is right on the beach, couldn't do better! Rooms were basic but clean. The bed was firm but comfy. No AC, just had a fan but we managed ok. They had great food - enjoyed their pad thai, and cashew pancakes were delicious for breakfast. Location is walking distance to delicious Ban Ban restaurant. You can rent a scooter or moto from the staff there for 300 baht/day. They helped arrange transport back to Krabi. Staff were friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Great Bungalows”
We stayed here 2 nights and we have Bungalow with seaview and fan. The Bungalow was very nice and lovely view we also have warm shower and bugnet. Fruit shakes are amazing. The staf in this resort are so kind and helpfull. They arrange our trip when we changed to the other place and everything went perfect huge thanks to that. There are so so many stairs so not very small children. We love this resort and mood there.

It's all about the atmosphere”
First of all, visiting Koh Jum is about experience solitude and the atmosphere. The beach is just down the stairs and the family running this resort is really friendly and helpful. I will be returning here next year

Very good”
Decent place with nice staff and food. The Seaview bungalow was in a lovely situation but the many steps and stairs which of varying heights, depths and sturdiness make this resort unsuitable for anyone with any walking difficulties. It was a shame that there was nowhere to put your clothes so they stayed in our suitcases.

Great quiet island retreat!”
After 3 weeks of traveling around Thailand staying at jungle hill was a great way to relax and enjoy the amazing beaches of Koh Jum. To start prompt pickup off the ferry from Krabi and shuttle down to the resort via long tail. Even on the ride in I was impressed with the long stretch of beach that Jungle Hill was situated on as it was flat, with soft sand and not crowded at all. The bungalows were not luxurious by any means but well put together, sizable with a large bathroom and relatively comfortable bed. The restaurant overlooks the water which is a nice touch especially at night with the sun setting over the phi phi islands. The food is pretty good and decently priced for an island resort, even the local restaurants on the Main Street aren’t that much cheaper. Overall main attraction is the beach which is very nice as stated earlier and great for just relaxing and reading (the resort has a good selection of books to read too. So overall this is not a fancy place but worth the money

Relaxing, rustic and quiet”
I think the Jungle Hill Beach Bungalow is a 'love it' or 'hate it' place. I doubt there's many in between. Personally, I loved it. If you're seeking a relaxing few days of nothing but peace, quiet and relaxation, come armed with a good book (or two) and here you'll discover a serene reality that will soothe your soul. Yes, you are up close with nature. The room we stayed in resembled a tree house and there's no way to stop insects or geckos from entering (though there are mosquito nets). If you can handle that closeness with the elements (as well as the monkeys that live in the woods around) then you may love it too. The owner was born on the plot and built the rooms himself, and it's very much a friendly, family-run business. The food is also great here, especially the 'Shoo-shi'. After the awful tourist food in Ao Nang, we were thrilled to find Jungle Hill were able to serve us up authentic cuisine. There's no late nights on Koh Jum, so don't expect a Phi Phi style stay - but if what you're looking for is peace, quiet and to get away from the trappings of the modern world (but still get wi-fi haha) then bring a book and unwind.

A little bit of paradise”
We discovered Koh Jum whilst trying to plot our way back from Ko Lanta to Krabi airport , We were reluctant to go back to the mainland after previously having had to endure 3 nights in the tourist wasteland of Ao Nang. The hotel is surprisingly easy to reach, you are picked up by longtail boat from the Ferry around 40 minutes after departing Ko Lanta. From the moment i arrived at this hotel i knew that this was what i had dreamed of experiencing in Thailand, it is beautiful. The bungalows are located up some very steep steps from the beach and i have to say that if you are looking for luxury then you are defiantly in the wrong place, rooms are simple with just a bed, a mosquito net and a fan, i also hope you do not mind lizards because you will be sharing a room, if these things put you off then that is a shame because you are missing what feels like the real Thailand. The owner and her family are lovely, the beach is stunning and the island is refreshingly underdeveloped which leaves you felling that you are finally seeing some real thai culture in the south which has it seems been destroyed by tourism in some places. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel.

Paradise!”
Best place ever on one of the very best beach strips of Koh Jum. Wonderful staff, great food, great view and a relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in one of the bungalows right by the beach and had a great time. We have absolutely nothing to complain about. Our only suggestion would be that it would be nice to have had a fridge in the room (even though the lack of one wasn't a big deal). Would definitely go back to this place again! Awesome place to chill”
we had an awesome time here! the staff were totally amazing and very friendly and helpful. our bungalow was closest to the beach, and the balcony has its own hammock! cool. the inside of the bungalow is very spacious, and the bed was the most comfortable in the whole of thailand! it also had its own mosquito net, and fan. if you book online, make sure to mention in an email to the hotel, which ferry you will be catching to koh jum, and what time you will be arriving, so that they can send a long-tail to meet the ferry.

Quiet and relaxing beachside bungalows ”
Let me start off by saying that if you are going to Koh Jum and looking to party all night and bar hop this is NOT the island for you. If you are looking to relax in the tranquility of nature, eat a few amazing meals and explore on your motorbike then this is the place for you. Koh Jum doesn't see a lot of tourists in the off season (it was mid-April when we went) so if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the time to go. There are some great restaurants in town, but they all tend to close pretty early so make sure you get your dinner early. Motorbike transportation is mandatory on this island and if you are a newbie on a bike don't be scared. It is a very easy island to get around on. The beaches on this island tend be a bit too rocky to swim, but just ask the front desk where to go. The staff was very, very kind and helpful. The bungalows are minimalist and don't consist of much other than a bed, mosquito net, fan, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. Great bargain, great staff, good food, hammocks.

Great bungalows and island”
jumgle hill bungalows is a wonderful place to spend time enjoying beautiful ko jum. the bungalows are located on a hill up from the beach (steep & lots of steps) and you can hear the ocean from the bungalow and enjoy stunning views out to ko phi phi from the restaurant. tang and her family make you feel very welcome. the bungalows are basic but comfortable, very good value and located within walking distance to shops and other restaurants. thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will stay again. the food is good and reasonably priced as is the day trip to phi phi. of note is the daily calling to prayer that occurs before dawn and over the weekend (sat & sun) music can be heard into the early hours. there is a bakery left on main road about 5 min walk. lovely variety of bread & very good breakfast, poached eggs were perfect!

Relax in the jungle”
the place is great, but i need to say from the start, it is not for everybody. the bungalows are very nice but basic. just walls with roof, open for wild life to enter. no hot water. it is located on the hill rising from the beach. there are some local shops near by, but the main village is 4km avay. you can rent a scooted, i reccomend that, but walking is also fun. you need to have a flash light if you want to go out after dark. if you are afraid of a wild life do not go there. if you want to party, do not go there. if you want fancy restaurants, do not go there (still there is some great sea food on the island). if you want to show off with your high heels or tatoos, do not go there. if you want to meet happy people, expierience monkeys walking on you roof, and stealing your food (hide your food), sleep to the sound of waves, have the whole beach to yourselves, than this place is for you. i spent 5 happy days in jungle hill and if i will have a chance to come back, i will.
