Great for alton towers”
Really lovely place to stay if going to alton towers. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Good selection of beers and evening meal too.

Good value, clean and confortable”
We stayed at Jurys Inn for 3 nights. The room was spacious and we had two double beds - the pillows, mattress and duvet were very comfortable. There is also roadside parking up to 8am the next morning, and the hotel has a paid car park too. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay at the hotel.

Fab location”
Great place as central to everything you need, whether it's shops, pubs, clubs. Just ask for a room furthest away from the lifts as kept me awake late at night or early in the morning.

Noisy Stay”
For my wedding anniversary I booked a one night stay at the Jurys Inn Birmingham. The staff failed to mention that there were some maintenance work being carried out inside and outside the hotel , which started around 07:30am in the morning. So instead of a sleep in like we planned we were rudely awakened by the equipment noise. The whole point of our stay was to have a good rest, which we never got. There was also a small piece of glass found in the room which my partner stepped on and cut her toe.

Great hotel in great location”
Room and location were brilliant. I would recommend this hotel. Packed breakfast was sadly disappointing and very basic.

It’s a room”
Sound of the lift going up and down all night was annoying. Bathroom didn’t lock so had to use a towel to wedge it closed. Bed had a dip in the middle and not too comfy. But staff were friendly and very helpful.

Average”
The walls between rooms are very thin, you can hear word for word what the people in the next room are saying. We stayed in a room beside a very loud woman who was on her phone until 4AM loud enough to prevent us from sleeping, we complained to the reception desk who told us we were not the only ones to complain. they went to the room once at midnight but never went back again. we were going to leave the hotel a night early due to the inability to sleep but were assured that the room was empty the following night due to covid they had to leave it 24hrs before anyone else could check in. The first set of staff were not helpful in helping and didn't seem interested, the staff the following day were fantastic, once they looked at the complaint logs and realized they kindly arranged for us to move rooms which was much quieter. in the city there are much quieter hotels with thicker walls and cheaper parking,

Ok hotel with good location”
Stayed for one night over the weekend. The good stuff: Hotel very centrally located which is great to access most things. Breakfast is decent and there’s a lot of variety. Staff were pleasant. The bad: The room wasn’t spotless. There were hairs and small dead flies on 2 of the bath towels, and a stain on the hand towel. The bathrooms desperately need updating, water spills out all over the floor as the shower curtain doesn’t quite reach the corners and it looks dirty/mouldy from where it needs re-grouting. We were 13 rooms away from the lifts but could still hear them all night. In the morning there was smashed glass all over the floor outside the front of the hotel which should have been cleared up but was just left. The bar toilets in the morning were absolutely vile - no sign of a cleaner. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again for the money paid. There are many other hotels in the area which are much nicer/cleaner for a similar price.

Bathroom was full of mould and dust. Not impressed with cleanliness at all. Have emailed a complaint. Awaiting feedback.

Book elsewhere !!! Lift noise unbearable. ”
Worst hotel we have stayed in Birmingham. My advice choose another. Evening staff unfriendly.Delay on check in even asked me to pay again even though booking was paid in full when booked. Room 1205 lift noise unbearable. All night and all morning. Sounds like howling wind. Only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel for 2 people . Breakfast paid for but rubbish . A small continental left outside your room.

Avoid”
The hotel is now very tired, in need of a refit. Staff are a mix butter majority we had dealing with were confrontational. Location is ok but in the middle of Braid street. If you wanting a late night then its the place for you. Hotel is really only 1/2 star. Ive stayed in better hostels. Its not cheap and they should reduce cost in reflection to condition of hotel.
