Everything is good except the laundry dryer. We choose to stay here because we saw they have laundry room on the website. Somehow it took forever to dry our clothes. The first time we did the laundry didn’t see people waiting, but we didn’t get a dryer available immediately after the washing machine is done, so we hang up our clothes around our room and it took days to dry out clothes. The second time was a typhoon day, people lined up for the dryers and I waited for hrs to use one dryer and spent a lot of time to dry our clothes. The dryer machine automatically changes the estimated time when it almost done and no one knows when it’ll stop. Although the dryer was weird, the location and the staffs were great, the room was clean, overall it’s a good experience, we’ll stay here again.

It’s my first time in Taipei. I am so relieved I chose Just Sleep Ximending. It is perfectly close to the metro, taxi cabs, walking distance to amazing food, shops, cafes. It has a convenience store and atm nearby. The room is clean and relatively quiet, the bed is comfy and clean. The showers and toilet are clean and modern. They have free laundry and drying services- the biggest draw for me. They have a nice lounge for waiting and relaxing- with games for kids, and snacks, coffee, tea and juice for many hours. It has a wonderful well-balanced breakfast. Overall, the best value for money and good quality hotel in Taipei. It is also relatively close to everything. I would prefer to stay here everytime I come to Taipei. :)

Very comfortable and spacious room with self-service laundry”
Room is spacious. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Facilities are well maintained and clean. They have a small play area for kids. Free snacks and drinks available beside the reception area (Lvl 5) daily from 1pm to midnight. Self-service laundry available and you only need to pay TWD10 for the washing powder which the money collected is donated to charity. Will need to plan time during the day to use the washing machine and dryer and it is fully occupied from the evening. Location is very convenient and just opposite XMD shopping district. Also short travel distance to other nearby landmarks/tourist attractions. Bus stops and metro stations nearby. Strongly recommend and will definitely come back again.

Great hotel in a wonderful location in Ximending”
Stayed 6 nights at Just Sleep with my children. The hotel really puts thoughts into making the stay comfortable for their younger guests. (And the young at heart) We enjoyed the games corner just near the reception - it kept the children entertained when we have to.speak with the friendly staff at the front desk. I also appreciate that there is a small library with Chinese books within the play area. The cafe is very cosy for late night suppers or afternoon tea when the family needed a break. The snacks and coffee are v much appreciated. The staff are extremely helpful with any questions I had. The location was great with the Hello Kitty 7-11 just below. Easily accessible to Ximen station too. Had a wonderful stay and hope to return again if we ever visit Taipei next time.

Good except the Cleanliness”
The hotel is very close to the Ximending MRT Station, good for eating, shopping and sightseeing. Free snacks and coffee & tea at lobby, free laundry (self help with charge of detergent), can borrow mobile phone charger free with deposit, all of those services are excellent for visitors, but the toilets (unisex) at lobby are dirty and the washing basin area is always very wet, it’s because of the visitors are not considered and the cleaning frequency is low. The guest room is spacious but you can’t watch TV at a proper distance because of the room design, the toilet door touches the toilet bowl every time when you open and close it, have to drag the door! The toilet seat is aged! It’s dusty too because my eyes are allergic to dust, they would be itchy if the place is dusty, every time I went to toilet, my eyes were itchy!!! The floor in shower is sticky when I stepped on it!!! The mirror is stained! Impressed by the Kenwood kettle, it’s quite new and steel stainless, usually cheap plastic ones used in small hotels! The clean lady didn’t give us clean and fresh towels on the third day of my visit, she folded our used wet dirty towels well and hang them at the original place, looking like all towels were changed and clean, but I noticed it after shower, the towel was damp, the smell is strange, not fresh & clean!!! and no folding marks (grid) on it after washing and pressing! But my daughter already used one after shower!!! She’s too young to notice it! The clean lady is very good at pretending she did her job perfectly!!! I called the service desk, told her what happened and asked for new clean towels, she queried and asked me many questions, seems it’s unbelievable! Yes, it’s unbelievable, I never had experienced this before in any of my travels, not even one time!!! And she said that will deliver them to us in 15 minutes! I asked quicker because I was wet after shower, she said 10 minutes!!! And only one towel arrived! The clean lady is inconsiderate monster!!! What’s the hygiene standard? Some staff at reception were very nice, helpful and friendly, but some were not! Will I come back again? Definitely NOT!!!
