Grand Hotel in an excellent location”
stayed at the jw marriott for 3 nights over xmas and was thoroughly impressed. i have been to bangkok many times and have stayed in most locations in the city (chao praya, chid lom, silom, sukhuumvit) and must admit that the lower end of sukhumvit is the best location. the hotel lives up to the image of the brand with a grand foyer and lobby, exceptionally well trained staff and decked out rooms that aren't missing anything. the hotel is obviously getting on in years but the upkeep has obviously been excellent and the room we had was of great quality. we are spoilt for choice with hotel choices in bkk but the jw has probably done enough to justify a return visit.
The best & fastest serve 5 star hotel”
first time in jw marriott. i have stayed in countless 5 star & 6 star hotel. i assure you that this is the best service that me & my wife have stayed so far.i would deffinately recommend anyone who wants to stay in a 5 star hotel in bangkok to stay. the hotel should promote. if our service is no good, 100% refund for room rate. this is so much i can say about jw marriott bangkok. i'll be back.
Real 5-star hotel on Sukhumvit”
A really good, no-nonsense 5-star hotel where everything is as it should be, and service delivered by attentive and well-trained staff. Certainly not the most original choice but I stayed in several hotels in this price range and this part of Bangkok, only the Sheraton compares favorably to the JW Marriott. Only one negative comment, as in most high end hotels the extra services (food, spa, etc.) are charged at very high prices.
first class hotel”
The JW Marriott is a fine hotel, centally lodated in Bangkok. If you go for the club floor rooms, the extras include transport to and from the airport, free breakfast, free drinks and a light dinner, 3 free clothes pressing per day. If you take advantage of the extras, the extra price of the club rooms is more than made up for. The food is good, and the rooms are roomy and well decorated.
Nice hotel although expensive for Bangkok”
Although it's always a pleasure to stay at the JW Marriott I do consider them expensive for Bangkok as there are so many good hotels available for a reduced price. The stay was pleasant although I do find that the delay experienced at reception is a recurring theme - they should look to hire more staff.
this is the third stay at the jw marriott and as usual the service was excellent. the offer of the upgrade to the executive floor at a cost was worth it for us as we are on holiday but need to use the peace and quiet of the facilities on the executive floor to catch up with work at home. there are some works being undertaken on the 17th floor but the disturbance was minimal. location is excellent and the concierge is always on hand to help with suggestions for dinner and siteseeing.
Convinient Hotel with personalised service”
I stayed only for one night to meet my partners from USA who travelled to BKK. I was amazed with the specialised restaurants & very personalised service by JW Marriott. Didn't realise till I try myself it was just a very short distance by train from JW to the Siam Paragon which has almost anything in BKK.
This hotel has perfect location for all activities (especially nightlife). Good standard for international hotel chain. However, the air conditioner need to be fix, since it always on and off when it keeps the temperature setting. Plus, the internet wifi in the room is not stable and a bit slow for JW Marriott standard.
executive lounge breakfast was a letdown”
location was very good but executive breakfast was disappointing.I like the regular buffet breakfast of JW marriott and that was why I chose it this time. But I was opted for executive lounge dining only which was convenient in a way but the quality of food was not good.Besides to my astonishment, the shower booth was dirty...which was very exceptional for Marriott.
Exellent Hotel and great Breakfirst”
Marriott Hotels are always the best choise. It is like being in a big family. When we arrived after 2:00 pm we found our room was not finished. So we received another room, but in a better kategory for the same price. We had a nice View over the city. The only flaw was the big AC-air intake (and/or output) of the central AC-unit, located at the outside roof abot 5 storie below, which was very noisy. So better try to get a room with a number below ..50. I guess, that would reduce this sounds to a minimum. Breakfirst is outständing. Beside of the western taste different asian variatie are available. Must try the fresh made juices. Free Sauna and steam room, hot wire pool and beside a very cold bassin to cool down after the sauna.
Fabulous. Amazing staff .”
Having stayed in many good quality hotels I really do rate the JW Marriott. Staff were like friends but still showing true professionalism at all times. A genuine kind and caring service. Loved being there.
Nice staff, efficient, professional, every body kn”
Everything was spot on! Will come back and stay at yr hotel. I am an ex-JW guy. And i really appreciate all of your efforts to make this brand where it is today. Thank you JW MARRIOTT BKK team!
Good, mature hotel”
The JW Marriott is a mature hotel located near one of the most areas in the city - Nana station. I liked the experience in the hotel, with the concierge being very good in all his comments and recommendations and all the staff trained to the expected standard. The hotel is not that new anymore, but the maintenance is very good. I have no complains, the hotel is good for the money and it does well everything that a hotel should do. The area itself is not particularly quiet and I would stay elsewhere if visiting Bangkok with family. I would return to this hotel on business or pleasure.
It's worth staying here”
Some rooms in the hotel have been under construction, so it was pretty noisy. But overall, it's worth staying JW Marriott hotel.
Good Location, but service was ok”
overall, our stay at jw marriott hotel bangkok was decent. the hotel was centrally located, but its staff (concierge, restuarnt staff) were somewhat cold, and unwilling to go the extra mile. the rooms were clean, and felt new, with great maid services. i only dine at one of its restaurants (tsu japanase), but the food wasn't that exceptional, although the price was expensive. i would stay at this hotel again, but mostly because of its location.
Short stay, room are very clean and spacious. All the staff are very friendly, professional and very helpful. Our short stay at JW Marriott was very pleasant, definitely will be back again.
Well what can i say. JW Marriott Bangkok's attention to details, service and security was excellent. It made my stay extremely pleasurable and memorable. Highly recommended! Loved it all.
jw marriott is located in one of the main business streets into down town of bangkok, 10 minutes walk to the nearest bts station. the room is spacey and modern decorated good size of bed. large bathroom with baht top in light colour marble. nice coffee shop large breakfast buffet with assorted breakfast items. large gym with terrace and pool.
My booking was made on the morning of March 10th through the internet. my girlfriend and i arrived around 3 oclock and were made to feel very welcome at the entrance area. after a swift check in, i was informed that my initial booking was for a suite room was accepted but the hotel decided to upgrade me to the royal suite. this room has to be seen to believed. it,s impressive to say the least. we were made to feel special from the moment the doors opened. we did not want to leave the hotel. I can,t praise the staff highly enough at the jw marriot they are fully aware of customer service. i will certainly use this hotel again.......no hesitation.
jw - good hotel but a bit old and needs renovation”
i always loved staying at the jw marriot in bangkok, however within the past few years i have tried other boutique hotels around sukhumvit and realize that while the services cant compare to the jw, the facilities and general things like tv / shower heads / water pressure / etc. needs a bit of work. i expect a bit more from jw when we pay.
