We booked the JW Marriott Hotel to celebrate my father's 60th birthday, a place that holds very special meaning for him. My father worked as a construction worker when this building was being built, so surprising him with a stay here made the celebration even more memorable :) We created such wonderful memories at this special place, and my family felt truly happy. A big thank you to the kind staff and for the well-maintained condition of the hotel — it really made our stay so enjoyable. The only small point was that although I noted the birthday request in advance, nothing was arranged, which was just a little bit disappointing. Nevertheless, we had a fantastic experience overall!
Hotel is very nicely furnished & maintained. Service staff were very impressive & welcoming at check in. Unfortunately, something went wrong with my assigned room. Told to wait while the room was being cleaned. 1 hour later, was still told the room was still being cleaned and offered a meal voucher. Almost 2 hours later, when I insisted to see the manager, was assigned another room & more vouchers. Unfortunately again, room assigned was on a low floor with the view of the drive way. Had expected better service & much better service recovery after such inconveniences. Missed my afternoon nap spoiling my evening plans.
Very good staycation option especially for a few days while watching NDP 2025 rehearsals and fireworks display at nearby Marina Bay (especially if you view at the 18th floor pool or in the privacy of your room facing Marina Bay and Padang). Almost perfect, except I realized the TV set provided in the room is not really a Smart Tv where you can chrome cast or screen mirror and watch your videos, youtube, or even Netflix. Facilities are great, and the garden/chairs and benches around 18th floor are nice to sit back and relax whilst listening to music and/or looking at the city view around.
This is my nth trip to Singapore, and this time I stayed at the Marriott. Since I have a daughter who just became an adult and a daughter in elementary school, we needed two rooms, so we opted for a suite. It was great that there was enough living space to fit an extra bed. I also enjoyed being able to use the executive lounge, but after eating there for about two days, the food for breakfast and dinner didn't change much, so it became a bit monotonous. On one of the three days, they didn't clean properly, and I could smell a musty mop smell throughout the room, so I ended up spraying a lot of perfume. I think I understand why some reviews mentioned that there was a smell in the room. I found it better than the Marina Bay Sands and the Fullerton Bay Hotel that I had visited before. Marina Bay Sands was too crowded and overwhelming, and the Fullerton Bay had a very old-room feel. The Marriott seemed to be more conveniently located. I am considering visiting again, but I hope to avoid any smelly situations due to cleaning issues. And the Pinocchio and shadow photos, along with the silhouette of a dancing black woman in the room... honestly, they are a bit scary!
