No towel. And there is no privacy at the bed. ”
The staff were really friendly, the lobby was really a nice place. But I like capsule bed better than bunk bed like in this hotel, because I cannot have my own privacy in there. There is no towel also!
Better options around”
Pros: Near a subway station, friendly staff Cons: Takes forever to get anywhere once you're actually on the subway (30-60min), if I could do it over I would stay in Shinjuku or Shibuya, where I, and everyone else I talked to, ended up trekking every day. Not very social. Room smelled like feet despite a change of guests, dehumidifier running 24/7, A/C, and open window all day. Mattresses and pillows leave a lot to be desired. Several toilet seats were broken. Shower switches from hot to cold water every 30 seconds (validated multiple times/days/showers/floors). Overall, I would call this hostel "Basic", it will get you through in a pinch, but I highly recommend checking out some of the newer hostels in Shinjuku/Shibuya with capsule style beds, bars, etc. which are a similar price with better/more modern amenities.
To avoid -smelly ,dated n no smiles ! ”
The entire hostel needs complete renovation . Floor dirty n room smelly . The beds have no curtains to provide privacy . Well, it’s cheap so expect no smiles from front desk but follow standard procedures n strictly no refund policy no matter what . Good luck travellers .
Great place but needed a bit of improvement”
Staff-san are very nice and speak English fluently. The location is very close to the subway stations. We can easily come/go to Narita Airport from here. However, the dust is a little bit.... and the towels are a little bit musty (just a little bit) but the cleanliness is still meet the japan standard.
Strategic location and friendly staff”
Location is very near to subway (Asakusa Line or Oedo Line). The staff (Nabe san) is very friendly and helpful. The hostel is clean and have a small yet a comfort living area for the ppl to mi how around. A walking distance to the famous Asakusa Shrine. Very recommended for ppl who’re looking for hostel experience.
Recommended for solo traveller”
The best hostel for solo traveller! They have a common area to meet like-minded travellers. Also they serve free coffee and bread spread for breakfast. Simply buy a bread and u got urself a decent breakfast.
I have stayed at this hostel several times during 2015- 2017. I have always being treated in the best way. The place are situated really close to Kuramae metrostation. The area has several eatingplaces and shops. Comfortable. A tip. Chose this hostel. Ingmar
Funstay at K's House. ”
Upon arriving the place we were greeted by their staff which are super friendly. They assisted ud very well. One of them is Yoshi who talked in tagalog. We were surprise but felt welcomed. That same day they had an event with free drinks and snacks. We had a fun and comfortable stay at K. Our flight from tokyo to nagoya got delayed so we had to stay past our check out time and they allowed and entertain us still. We would surely reccomend them to our friend amd if ever we decided to come back will stay at K's. Thank you to the staff for our wonderful stay.
Continent communication, nice facility, very clever businessman ”
Very close to the metro station Dryer machine is for free, washing machine is expensive like 300y per time Bathroom is not very big but not small There is a roof rest place where can have a chat with beer
It's a wonderful not so big and more private and familiar hostel. The staff is really nice and helpful (when you arrive, one of them welcome you personally, takes you to a table and takes time to explain you everything). It's really very clean. The rooms are not that big and there is only a small locker (about 30/30/30cm), but we all know about the space issues in Tokyo! ;)
I think they can do better than this, for a hostel, I didn't see any effort of them, maybe it's a chain hostel, so everything just fine but no surprise. Location is satisfactory, facilities is acceptable, but cleanliness have to improve more and also I didn't feel comfortable to stay on the room.
Loved how kind the staffs are, and the backpackers and the travelers who are staying in this hostel are so friendly too, loved the good conversations and exchange our thoughts. Definitely would come again.
Great Location For Relaxing”
This hostel is really clean and conveniently located in Kuramae, which felt like “the Brooklyn of Tokyo.” There are a bunch of great trendy coffee shops around, walking distance to Asakusa, but out of the touristy area in a quieter residential spot.
Staff was helpful - i got to keep my bags there safely (for a fee) for a few days, train station nearby. Common area's a good place to meet people when traveling alone, however if you plan to party this wouldnt be a good location unless you're always willing to wait for the trains to open at 5AM
Overall is good for one who want to save money and live near station”
A litter bit small room. too less shared bathroom and toilet. The other is good. especially, there is a Wii game you can play for free at lobby. And thing i like most is the hostel is located very near station!!!
Staff very friendly despite hiccup”
Stayed in private room, asked to change towels but it didn’t happen 🙁 Other than that, all great. If using JR Pass, a little walking required but I dont mind it. Nearby train is very close-by.
Every staple you need is in the hostel and all the staff were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again in this hostel when I go back to Tokyo. :)
You have to bring your own towel.
It's a very good , affordable place”
I've been there for 5 days , good place to meet people , professional staff, everything is pretty clean and it's close to the station.
Great , enjoyable and relaxing”
Great for long stay and all staff very friendly. I will give 4* if their can provide or separate kitchenware for HALAL meal like bowl, pan or spoon. It will be easier for all Muslim traveler to use for eat because we're no need to buy the new bowl or other kitchenware.
