The breakfast meals on site were good. The facility is aging which is evident in numerous areas such as bathrooms, window ledges on elevators to mention a few. There is an upgrade taking place however the items being addressed are large visible items and short on detail. The staff were accommodating. We found that a small item such as not providing laundry detergent during each housekeeping session was annoying: staff at check-in counter was not accommodating with this matter. Even with some of these annoyances it is likely we would probably book again at this site now that we know/understand there procedures/policy.
We really enjoyed our staycation at the Kaanapali Beach Club Resort. All staff were so friendly from check-in to check-out. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in; however, the front desk clerk found us another room when we told her we needed to attend a hula competition at another hotel. Too bad it was only for 2 nights; we would have loved to stay longer. Loved the room, so spacious especially the bathroom. The kitchen was so convenient to cook in or warm up take out food. The pool area was awesome and the beautiful scenery of the ocean. Loved walking around the resort and grounds. I was really surprised to see the indoor mini-golf; how fun for a family. I so appreciated the food trucks located nearby (walking distance) and the shopping mall across the street. I definitely want to return to Kaanapali Beach Club Resort and stay longer to try out the restaurant, café and bar areas. We live in Kahului, Maui so we plan to do this again next year. Mahalo and Aloha.
Fantastic place. ”
Great pool and location
Perfect place to wind down and renew batteries. So relaxing. Beautiful pool. Staff extremely friend.”
Stunning pool. Well presented and maintained rooms, great bathroom, kitchen had everything you could possibly need.
4 hr wait for room and $$$ for snorkle equipment”
advised of arrival time when booking still had to wait 4 hrs (12-4) not a single room available?????????
Pleasantly surprised as am aware the building is older. Rooms were great value for 8 of us (in lock off units); building was quiet and had everything we needed! Kids loved the pool! Staff was wonderful!
Huge room and huge pool on private beach, great facilities, terrible service”
Pool is amazing with waterfalls, spas, etc. and live music in the afternoon. Gets pretty crowded and hard to find a shady chair in afternoon. Right on a small beach which is shared with adjacent hotel, but no public access. Room was huge and kitchen had everything you need - even a blender which we used to make a smoothie. Every floor also has an ice machine (we used for smoothie), washing machine and dryer. There's no housekeeping service. Service was consistently bad - eg. we requested more shampoo/bath gel and reception said they'd send someone up, but no one came. Deck chair on balcony was clean on top surface but the frame had a lot of bird poo which was a bit gross. Check in is unusually late at 4pm and you get an email once your room was ready, wifi login requires room number - no public lobby wifi or a generic login for guests waiting for rooms! Opposite supermarket and food truck area, but most attractions are 1hr+ drive in central Maui - I recommend staying near Paia instead.
The pool is incredible ”
This place was even better than I was expecting! The pool area is incredible. Rooms are very comfortable and HUGE. Perfect place to enjoy the sunset. Stunning view of the water across palms. Really friendly staff. The list goes on!
It was good”
We were four and all satisfied to stay there. All staffs in the resort were friendly. When I asked about the room with twin beds, they gave us a perfect room. Swimming pool and the beach was nice enough and we spent a great time at the grill zone. And watching sunset at the beach was amazing.
Very nice place with spacious rooms and suites Very nicely appointed . Would go there again .”
Facilities , rooms , great. Beach is also nice but small as in most Maui places . Pretty adequate . Water was pristine. Pool and hot tub in great shape and clean . Impressed. Would go there again.
Good value property in great shape.”
Rooms had a great large layout. All staff were friendly and respectful. Wud go back. Beach has eroded so drive or walk to another. Many properties in that area do not have a beach. Many nice beaches (free) around on the west side of Maui, (Kanapali, Kihei,) Higher end properties around there too.
Our room was huge for 3 adults and a toddler! I love that it was close to a supermarket. Great price and great location
Smelly n old ”
Staff slowly to everything, coffee not flash, smell penetration throughout hotel and room, dated , no beach. Luckily access to hotels nearby. Favourite person was the concierge who went out of her way to help create a great few days.
The location was great and so was the pool area etc. The rooms just had a musty kinda old smell to them especially for the cost I didn't think they would. Big and nice rooms though. My booking did say that there were no extra fees, but there was when I got there.
Great location. Big rooms with lounge and large bathroom. Food well priced and lots of options. Close to shops, supermarket, take away, beach.
Spacious suite and great pool/spa”
The one bedroom suite was specious and clean. The beds very comfortable and great facilities for a kitchenette. Really enjoyed the pool and spa. Recommend especially for the price!
The price you get doesn’t include the resort fee of $25.00 per night. So when Agoda says total ”
Amount it is not the total.
Returned to Maui and this time elected the property 'next door.' It was a good choice. Enjoyed our stay, great food (ate on property several times) and awesome Mango Smoothies! OMG! :-)
Lovely relaxing resort however watch out for the Diamond Resort time share representatives.”
The pool area has recently been updated with 3 hot tubs, a large pool with volleyball net and a water slide. The rooms are HUGE, inc the bathroom which is a great layout and has 2 sinks. The kitchen facilities are also good meaning you can cook if you don’t want to eat out. They offer activities for kids and adults however we didn’t partake in these. There was a USD20 per night resort fee that was a surprise.Sadly the beach out the front has eroded but beach access is a short walk away. This resort is part of the Diamond Resort timeshare. They will offer you a very one sided contract to buy into the resort. If you reject this they will offer a sampler package which seems like a good deal at first, however reviews suggest using this package is impossible and you will be paying money for a service they will not deliver. Don’t waste your time going to the presentation for freebies, spend your time enjoying the beach instead! Despite this it was a great place to stay and would stay again.
