“Very good”
We had chosen to travel as a family to Koh Chang and decided to make the Kacha Resort our accommodation of choice after extensive research on the best location within the island - as White Sands Beach had many shops to offer. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bright smile and superb service was provided by the entrance staff, as they kindly offered to manage our luggage and valet our car. This was very much appreciated after a long journey to reach our destination and I would like to send my thanks to the excellent entrance staffs. The location of our rooms were on the beachfront side, and although the building was nicely kept, we felt that a lack of a lift was slightly disappointing, as this could be difficult was more elderly guests. When we had arrived at our room, 1301 & 1302 (both Deluxe Seaside), we were very pleased with our rooms as the furnishings were clean, well maintained and fairly modern. However, we had one very big concern and this was room 1301's choice of 'bedding platform'. The concern was due to how abnormally large the wooden platform was compared to the actual bed itself, and this was a potential danger hazard which had unfortunately manifested to my father sustaining an injury - photos of this provided. We had notified the housemaid of this, although no further action was taken and we had to self remedy my father's injury... Additionally, we had accidentally broke a drinking glass and the housemaid was sent to clean up any remaining debris. However, upon leaving our room to explore the surrounding area at a later time, we had found traces of broken glass near our door - this again posed a danger hazard, as my family and other guests could've stepped on the shattered glass. During this moment, we had saw the housemaid blankly staring at our direction, although the broken glass was only cleared after my mother had pointed it out... So far, the experience we received from the reception was excellent, although other areas still needs improvement to help guests feel at ease, especially with matters regarding safety concerns. As previously mentioned, the quality of the room itself was great, and this was reflected also to the exterior of the hotel. The grounds were very well maintained, and the swimming pool were kept clean with smiling staff on hand to help. The beach was very relaxing, and this was further enhanced by the soothing music played by the hotel's restaurant, 'The Fil On Beach'. In addition to the above, the buffet breakfast provided by the hotel was very good and the foods had variety and tasted very good - however no bacon was a disappointment, as we were told that this was due to the time of stay being out of season. In this instance, an alternative should be provided so that guests who stay during out of season periods would not feel left out. Although again, I would like to state that the food was very tasty and the cooks did an excellent job - also the staff members were very attentive and helpful. My family had noticed that no fairy lights were hung up around the hotel grounds by the accommodations (as we had saw lights being displayed upon online reviews and YouTube videos), and of course this is not a big concern, although it would be nice to have retained this for the overall cosy vibe for the guests. Additionally, although the rooms are great, we felt that the bathroom could have used brighter lights as it made it rather difficult to see things - and for ladies, applying makeup and such was not so convenient! But again, this was a minor inconvenience that did not hugely affect our overall stay within the hotel. Upon checking out, due to my father's sustained injury and the family's physical health not being in top condition which caused slight mobility issues, we had contacted the reception area and asked for assistant with luggage - and this was gladly provided with no hesitation. Again I would like to send a big thank you to the staff members who generously provided help
