Just awesome staff... better than anywhere in the states...”
This resort is a beautiful venue, located just blocks from the main part of New Bagan. Arranging for tours of the amazing temples is so simple. Renting motorcycles or bikes to do it yourself is even easier. This is a resort, in the truest sense of the word. The pool and facilities are beautiful, but the staff and service are exceptional. They treat you like kings and queens. We've never had better service. You'll feel like movie stars! Stay here. It's practically free considering the value.
Awesome service staff”
I got everything I needed and much more from the amazingly attentive staff at Kaday Aung. We arrived at 5am at the bus terminal, and I secured a transport (last minute due to plan change) to take us for sunrise watching. It was at a fraction of the cost the taxis at the bus terminal were asking. Once we reached the hotel at 8am, we could check in straight away instead of waiting till 2pm. What's more, all our 5 rooms got upgraded from regular to suites!! I got all the information I needed from the reception: temples to visit, lunch places, times to avoid the crowd, the best tea in town. The ebikes at the hotel were well maintained and inexpensive (8000 per day). We returned the bikes 1hr late at night but the staff stayed in late to accommodate. We extended one of the rooms till 8pm for a fraction of the cost. Staff also arranged ferry pick-up to take us to the bus terminal. An enjoyable experience all in all. The rooms could do with better soundproofing though.
Nice hotel and amazing helpful staff”
Nice view around hotel with garden, swimming pool and good restaurant. They allowed us to check in early in the first day with good and friendly service. We rented electric bike from hotel and got a flat tire at 9:30 pm. They came to fix it without any complaints. It's near to Old Bagan but quite far from Nyang U town, but we like the peacefulness and quietness here. Love it. Will return if any chance.
We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were simple, but fine. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. The pool was a little to dirty for us to want to get in, but it might be better other times of the year. Easy bike ride to the everything you want to see.
Good choice. Rooms a bit noisy, but we did not have any probleem during the night. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast much choice. Good restaurant at reasonable privé, including marionet show. Nice pool and garden, bike and ebike rental and close to temple routes.
Great staying at the Kaday Aung”
Friendly helpful staff, great breakfastbuffett, lovely pool, early morning check-in, except little water running at the shower. Very quiet, one could hear the quirls on the roof, nice, great wi-fi connection in the room. If id come again I would book deluxe room, not superior.
Amazing room,pool & staff - bathroom needs rehaul ”
We LOVED the Superior room - very tropical chic, large and clean. Price split between the two of us with 40% off Agoda Insider Deal made it a STEAL even compared to Ostello Bello/Thindi Sandar guesthouse. Breakfast buffet was fantastic with plenty of fresh items and even an egg chef. The nightly puppet show was a bit of a joke though but entertaining in a parody sort of way. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. We absolutely loved the pool and grounds around the hotel - we feel like it is quite underrated regarding the price we paid ($31 USD per night). Ebike prices were same as street vendors and of better quality. BUT the bathroom needs a huge overhaul. Very outdated, tub and fixtures look 20 years old, sink was super high and almost out of reach for my 149cm tall girlfriend, and everything seemed to have water scum on it. And we found two roaches on two different days. Regardless, we would stay here again because of all the positives. We recommend it!
Nice gardens and swimming pool ”
The room paid for was not available, so a second bed had to be put in the room and I did not get the room I paid for until the 2nd day taking quite a bit of time to work things out. I had my own driver so had no problems there but others couldn't get taxis easily from the hotel. The breakfast was ok, but not exciting - limited for vegans and vegetarians. The rooms and grounds were well designed with a lot of fresh plant life everywhere - the pool was great after a hot day in the nearby ruins. The staff was friendly - English was limited but ok. I think with more time, this hotel will be a great place to stay near the monuments.
A Good Base for Pagoda Raiding in Bagan”
The hotel is in a good location, although it is the only hotel in what seems to be a residential area. It is quiet and has a nice ambiance. The staff were great; very courteous and attends to all of your needs promptly. I requested the night before for hot water (they don't have hotpots in the room) for coffee to be delivered at 4AM the next morning and came as requested. The breakfast is quite tasty as well and reasonable considering the budget price paid to our room. The room is also spacious, has a refrigerator and all the standard features of a typical hotel. My only complaints are the water draining from the airconditioner of the room above ours is dripping on the metal body of the aircon of our room, thus making this annoying dripping sound. Also, the floors above as well as walls are not well sound-proof and you could here guest and hotel staffs talking or passing by.
Had a nice stay in this hotel. The pool area was great for relaxing when not out seeing the sights. The breakfast was nice, although I would advise getting there as early as possible, as it was pretty busy later on in the morning. The wifi was sketchy at best, although I think this is a problem in many hotels in Myanmar. The room was very comfortable and the staff were lovely. Will return some day!
I loved it here, especially the staff”
I loved my stay here. The receptionist was this adorable little girl named Hlaing Hlaing, and she was amazing. She helped us to plan out our route around Bagan, and set us up with electric bicycles for our journey. She was so sweet and friendly, she made my stay a great one. We didn't book breakfast, but got a free meal with the room. The hotel itself is really pretty. I would definitely come back here. It was extremely easy to access the temples from the hotel. There were however a lot of mosquitos in the room, although the staff came and sprayed down our room in the afternoon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. They were continually trying to improve the grounds/gardens. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so cannot comment on the restaurant but they did a cultural show there each evening using puppets. This was a nice little extra. Would definately recommend. Only minus was everything in the bathroom leaked a little so floor always wet. Good mini bar though with good prices.
Beautiful hotel with very friendly, lovely staff”
Kaday Aung Hotel is a great hotel in New Bagan with the nicest, sweetest staff around! The rooms are spacious and clean with the only downside being the poor water pressure for the bathroom's showers. The pool and surroundings are very nice. The hotel is a great location to sight-see around Bagan and a comfortable walk/bike ride to the temples of Old Bagan. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Great Services at Reasonable Prices”
we spent a total of 5 nights there and we had such a wonderful experience. our first night was very memorable since it was my husband's birthday and i gave him a surprised birthday dinner. the staffs were very helpful and throw a very big surprise, arranging all the table decorations w/ tablecloth & flowers folded in a peacock shape and a romantic candle. not to mention that they also arranged our bed w/ a 'happy birthday' message w/ local flowers and plants. it was such a surprise, far beyond our expectations, and we love this place. it was rather quiet and nothing much around but you can bike around and it was great. very memorable and a nice hotel in new bagan area- highly recommend.
being in this hotel feels like we're in this sand dune adventure in the middle of nowhere. it's actually a very comfortable hotel with a room setting that's very unique. the design of this hotel really made me feel like im in some middle eastern hut with the toilets built out of stone and the beds in straw flooring. overall a fantastic time. the hotel also has free breakfast and a swimming pool.
Not a good value for your money”
When I arrive, the staff didn't take their initiative to carry my bag for me and didn't take the initiative to show me my room after I've checked in till I asked. The main light in my room was flickering and it gave me a headache. The was no hot water in the bath room. The room is worn out and needs renovating. However, the breakfast was delicious and I got the hotel to iron my shirt for free for me. The service on the next day morning was nicer than the night when I checked in. I won't recommend anyone because of the worn out room though.
Excellent service with smile”
Reached at 6 AM in morning. Staff welcomed with smile & enthusiasm. Very impressive decoration. Our suit was OCTAGONAL in shape. Finished outside & inside in bamboo & wood. Loved decoration. Surrounding trees, ponds & swimming pool add to experience
Cosy hotel with nice pool”
Very good breakfast in nice green area. We had a room which was quite dark (dark green carpet, I would prefer wooden floor without carpet, and dark wood, not much light can come through the windows), matrasse was directly on the floor, but that maked it cosier. We used our own moskito net, you would need one but we didn't ask if the my can provide one. We liked the pool area very much. Good value of money. E-scooter rental for 7000 per day, also good price.
Fantastic Staff and Hotel”
We were in a group of 10 (3 children), had a swimming pool which was fab. Rooms were dark and had some problems keeping out mosquitoes but overall, food was good, staff were excellent! Had hired push-bike, e-bikes, horse-cart direct from them and were good value for money. We all felt the staff - especially those young ladies were greateful in answering all our questions and helped us feel at home, which was very important. We had stayed here for 2 nights - wished we had stayed longer, so it is a must stay hotel for those that are value-conscious and want a genuine service with lots of smile.
Needs more sun loungers!”
We recently had a four day stay here and it really is a very nice hotel with lovely staff. It is in a quiet location but close to many restaurants. My only complaint is that we, like many of the guests like to have a sit by the pool and for a 60 room hotel, they dont have nearly enough sun beds. Bagan also is an absolutes must for travellers to Myanmar.
