Beautiful resort with great view”
We checked in for 2 nights and had a very pleasant stay. The ship like room made of wood has a great atmosphere. And the view about the lake is really amazing!
lovely lakeside escape”
the boathouse rooms were lovely and the location was paradise. Quiet and serene. However, staff spoke very little English. I was lucky the owner was there who spoke English well. Just a bit difficult to get to but other than that, I would definitely go there again.
A very relaxing stay, friendly staff and nice area”
The stay was great. The food was good and the service was quick, the food was a unique style to Kaengkrachan was good to have the same dish with a very different taste. The hotel setting is great, the swimming pool is nice and the rooms are good with a unique style. The local area was good and reflected the peacefulness of the area. (it does help if you have your own means of transport, car bike, cycle. Overall we had a great stay for couple of days over the Songkran period.
The hotel are well designed. The feeling that you can stay in the boat. Lovely swimming pool with a good view of dam. peaceful place. nice an confort bed and good view from toilet. Wifi available inside the room. Staff also nice and welocme. There are 2 dogs always look after guess. Wish acan spend sometime there again and hope food will provide more amount with the reasonable price that would be perfect.!!
Excellent Location Friendly Staff”
The unique design of the rooms of this resort are a delightful change.Looking at the boats resting in the water, makes a very welcome site compared to the normal concrete structure. The room sizes are excellent, and very good amenities in the rooms. Excellent food and good service by staff. Views are great and would suggest visitor's take the boat trip from the hotel across the lake to visit the Temple. Only one suggestion, better signage at the turn off into the resort. But everything else great.
Quiet hotel with green, natural environment”
Even though only one price available, there are many rooms which differ quite in their qualities - basically size, equipment and view; we were first shown a room rather back in the yard with no view at all; we asked for another one, and then we got one with view on pool and partial vie on lake; generally the rooms are very clean, quiet, the food in the restaurant is average, maybe little bit more, so definitely a recommendation for a quiet and natural weekend.
amazing location, just stunning”
Set on the lake in a countryside setting, it was truly a wonderful location to stay at. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was great, free mountain bikes and kayaks to use. I cant recommend it highly enough, though its a little bit more expensive than other options. I would recommend the honeymoon villa. There are not many rooms, so its quite an exclusive feel to it too.
并不那么值 not value as the price”
We booked the room which have 4 bed rooms , but the truth is it’s just two rooms with extra four beds putting out of the living room! As the price about 10000 per night... that is far for the value ! But view and stuff there is nice !
Our third time at the resort and still really good. Lovely staff very laid back but in a beautiful if isolated location overlooking the lake with a beautiful pool. Boat accommodation is fun. Food is good.
untrustworthy, dangerous and terrible location”
I did not originally intend to stay at this hotel, but mistakenly made a reservation thinking it to be Paradise land resort. When i arrived i took a look at the room and find out to be ok. The layout was as if you were staying in a boat, but i felt nail heads and sharp edges on the floors. The grounds seemed to be kept up adequately, but each room was a "boat" in standing water so i anticipate many mosquitos in the evening and morning. Although the hotel was near the lake the view was not interesting. Because of all these reasons and the fact that i had booked the wrong hotel by accident I asked the receptionist if we could cancel the booking to which she indicated that would not be a problem. However after later speaking with agoda they indicated she had declined to allow the refund. I called and spoke to her again and it seemed she had changed her mind or lied to me initially, which one is unclear, but either way i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
First of all, the term "suite" is misleading, as well as "lake view". You could only see the lake if you're in the bathroom. We asked the receptionist if there was a mistake and wondered where the lake view is from the room and she said that if we had wanted a lake view, we should have specified it in the "special requests" box on Agoda! Silly me..I just thought that when the name of the room says Lakeview Suite, I wouldn't need to ask for it as a special request! The rooms smelled stuffy and with the room being on the third floor, we could hear and even smell our pigeon neighbors on top of the roof. In the bathroom, there was even a mesh cage type thing on top on the ceiling that caught droppings and feathers. If you are not a bird fan, you will be on edge the whole time like I was. Pool was not clean. It was not a deep pool yet we could not see the bottom of our feet. The only plus was the beautiful view and peaceful location and the restaurant food that we ordered for dinner was quite good.
Stunning location, the nearby national park is a must even if you only get up to the base camp to see the birds and butterflies. Go to the bridge over the petchaburi river and any of the places there will organise a dinghy ride down the river for about 400 baht. Also visit the dam view point, a local Thai will talk you into a longboat ride on the lake, well worth the 200 baht per person we paid to see the swimming monkeys. All in all a fantastic stay the boathouses are unique and very comfortable and the staff happy and attentive.
Unique accommodation in nice surrounding with great staff and excellent food”
excellent staff, superb food, nice breakfast, lovely scenery, unique accommodation, but on weekends be prepared that Thai families like to practise Karaoke, which might be weird, but it's there tradition and therefore be open to the foreign culture and accept it for the few hours they enjoy it (in our case they stopped around 10 pm which was very respectful). WE LOVED THE PLACE AND THANK THE GREAT TEAM
Great staff, nice rooms”
A pleasant hotel with staff that were very helpful and organized plenty of things for us. Rooms were comfortable and clean but some of the public areas could use a bit of a clean but then this is a recurring theme with locally run hotels, Food was pretty decent and it was great for the kids; this alone will make me come back next time I am in Kaeng Krachan.
Traditional Boat House”
We spent only a night here. Everything was just fine. The staffs were nice and helpful. The food was average. The place might be hard to find for the foreigners, you might need a local taxi to take you there. Anyway, we greatly enjoyed the view over the lake in the evening. Surely worth it.
The hotel was beautiful although I was slightly disappointed that features such as fountains and lights were not turned on when I was visiting, until a larger group arrived, which made me feel like I was not an important guest. The food was good but no vegetarian options made it very difficult for me. The breakfast was wonderful! I just would have liked to have been treated as well as a large group of guests that arrived during my time were, I was made to feel insignificant and even at dinner was forced into the lounge area rather than being allowed into the restaurant!
Loved it - amazing location. Easier if you do speak a little Thai but staff tried very hard with their English and were incredibly helpful. Pool beautiful. Lake and birdlife even more incredible. Wish we'd stayed longer.
By staying at this hotel, we could submerge ourselves in the nature and fresh air. The view over the lake/ reservoir is breath-taking. While rooms may need more TLC, the swimming pools are well looked after, and is a great place to relax after an exicting (but challenge) morning inside the park.
great stay in a unique property”
We had a very nice time there and the staff worked hard to communicate with us. We did two excursions, to Kaeng Krachen Park (hike through the jungle) and river rafting. Visitors are really stuck there if they don't have a car, though they do have loaner bikes and kayaks. They were very helpful about picking us up and transporting us on our way. The pool is beautiful and the grounds full of orchids and other flowering plants. The rooms are done like boat cabins, with lots of wood and even a porthole!
A lovely boutique weekend”
We normally seek a nice place for our weekends from Agoda. And this place didn't disappoint us. Even though it's located remotely and away from the high way, it's located just by the lake over Kaeng Krachan dam, with peaceful atmosphere, with boutique boat-house style, and Thai crusine is good.
