Road to the restoration trip”
I spent 3 nights in Kagoshima, visiting Sakurajima once and focusing the rest of my time on Meiji restoration tourism and Japanese history. The Hotel was a couple tram stops from the JR Kagoshima station, quick enough to reach on foot even with a large rucksack and really close to everything in general. Located on a busy street, there were lots of shops and restaurants available nearby, including a souvenir store. The room was smallish but good enough for me, everything was clean and the staff in the lobby offer a free wifi modem. Expensive teppanyaki restaurant at the top of the hotel, but the quality is worth it.

Great Place for Casual Travel”
The hotel locates along main street and at the middle of Tenmokan and Kagoshima Chu, casual walk like 10 minutes to either directions. Surrounding by choices of convenient stores which you don't have to worry about lack of daily supplies. For night owls, you may found Kagoshima is a bit peaceful, still you can get something at Tenmonkan or late night department store, you won't be lonely to stay there.

Tenmonkan is a nice location for food and shopping. It's 15 mins walk to Kagoshima Chou station and also walking distance to various ferry port, like Sakurajima, Yukashima, etc. There are many convenient stores and supermarkets around the hotel.

The Best location”
After got off the Airport Shuttle Bus stop, the hotel is just right opposite side. And it also close to 激安之殿堂, you can put all your items after you have a crazy shopping over there. Moreover, it also close to Tenmonkan Street, many nice restaurants on that street.

Everything is good enough”
Breakfast was good with a good range of choice, a very nice view and nice staff. Room was a bit small, but similar to the overall standard in Japan. Suggesting to choose a twin bed room, as sleeping on a double bed, you would be easily disturbed by a little move of your partner. Location was very good as it was just next to the shopping arcade, and 15 minutes walk to the central station.

We chose Washington hotel because we used to have a nice stay in Hiroshima. However, we were totally disappointed with this stay. The room was old and a bit dirty; the light was out of order; poor WiFi connection in the room. The only advantage was great location. There’s no point to return visit!

Basic size room but clean and tidy, close to Tenmonkan with 100 yen shops, drug stores, ramen restaurants, convenient stores. Staff is nice with smiley faces. Air vent duct of air-conditioning system might be a bit dirty which caused sneezing and some tiny dust blow out from vent opening.

Would call it a 2 star hotel ”
The room is quite small and we can hardly open the door after placing the luggage. This is a quite old hotel and we find it a bit dirty. Parking is 1500¥ overnight, which is quite expensive compared to the nearby parking lot

Nice hotel near restuarants and bars”
The room was very small, but it was clean. The parking was Y1260 a day which was more then we had paid the rest of the trip. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. There is a convenience store right next door.

Had a 45 minute argument with the carpark attendant to get my car out at 6pm, ended up getting it at 6:45 and missed the appointment I had, they didn't want to give me the car because the carpark closed at 10pm, I stated numerous times that I understood (In Japanese)that and I would be back but the guy still had a problem, made many,many phone calls to someone and eventually after a long discussion with a lady who knew 2 words of English I got my keys. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone if you are driving. Also the internet was bad.
