NIce, Great Pool, Could Do Better”
We stayed here as a base for visiting Ancient Olympia ( which is fabulous!) so for that, the location was fine.
This place is quite expensive, but the room was big, 2 levels, for 4 people. Everything clean, spacious, a lovely balcony, air con.
The TV didn't have any channels that worked.
The wifi only worked well on the balcony.
Breakfast was fine. Some tomato and cucumber would be a nice addition.
The on site taverna could only offer us a 3 course meal, which we didn't want, so we skipped dinner. We just wanted something small. There's nowhere to eat within walking distance but there are some great restaurants in Olympia and a small supermarket nearby.
My only real gripe was the "kitchenette" that had electric rings and a fridge, but no pans, no kettle, no nothing. It would have been great to be able to make a cup of tea in the room.
But the pool is lovely and the family owners very welcoming. My kids had a ball swimming so we stayed an extra night.
They cleaned, refreshed towels etc. Very good standard.
I wouldn't want young children using the upstairs part of the split level rooms, the stairs are too dangerous, but they could sleep downstairs, parents up.
Overall pretty nice and I would recommend. Read more about touring mainland Greece on our website, World Travel Family.
We also saw the 3 bed rooms at the front of the hotel, also very good, spacious.
