Nice hotel outside Salalah”
The Marriott is now an older hotel in Oman and so it feels a bit dated in the building and room layout compared to its newer rivals. However, whilst popular with tour groups, it also offers the independent traveller a great base to explore the beaches and hills to the east of Salalah. About 40 minutes drive from Salalah, in the fishing town of Mirbat, it is on the coast road leading eventually to Duqm - this is worth the drive (about 6 hours) for the amazing views from the new road (not on many maps yet). Snorkelling from the hotel beach or nearby beaches is great, even with dolphins just off the beach. Up in the hills are beautiful wadis and the large sinkholes popular for tourist visits. The bar is very good, with nice staff who help you to relax after a day of touring. Given the more modern build of its rivals, it is quite expensive, but the overall stay there is still very good.

Good hotel with very friendly staff”
The hotel is situated in Mirbat, some 80km away from Salalah. Our room was big and clean with a comfortable bed, in the groundfloor you will have access to the garden and pool area direct from your balcony. The staff was really friendly and always tried to be helpful Minus: - against the announcement on the Agoda Website there is no Wifi at the rooms, only at the public areas - hotel management allowed that guests could occupy sunchairs with towels as early as 7am even they showed up only a few hours later, so actually there is no way to get a place at the pool if you arrive later - the hotel phone service line was never attended, min. waiting time 5min

great location with beach, fantastic place”
Nice place to stay with kind staffs. During the dinner, restaurant staff offer free beer for hospitality. There's scuba office within the hotel, so i've enjoyed half day diving and pay by room charge. Very comfortable place with nice view, must visit when staying salalah~~

Great facilities”
Fantastic pool and hot jacuzzi, also has on site tennis, darts and table tennis, so plenty to keep you entertained. Food options were good though drinks were a bit expensive. Wifi is chargeable unkess you are a mariott member. Location is an hour from salalah but there are a few tourist attractions close to taquah just 30 mins away. Overall, a very comfortable stay with attentive staff.

Very relaaxing”
We had a very relaxing stay at the Salalah Marriott. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They all spoke very good English. The food in the restaurants that we ate in was also very good. Can thoroughly recommend the spa. The staff were all from Bali, lovely people and we both had great treatments.

Amazing location for out-of-towners.”
The web site for this hotel caught our eye and owned up to everything written about it. We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay at this Mariott. As you drive up you're amazed to see such a beautiful hotel outside of town. It was a quick and easy check in and within a few minutes we were in our room. The room was just right, clean, comfortable bed and pillows, large closets and most of all quiet. The location was great, we found so many of the places we had on our list within a few miles of the hotel which started our day with less traveling and more sight seeing. It was a great deal for our money, must see for yourself.

I will go there again ”
I had very nice time in this resort. my room was in ground floor facing the garden and pool. so I had direct access to the pool and beach. room was spacious with.. good facilities. unfortunately there was no Wifi connection in the room and every time I had to go to the lobby to browse internet. the cable internet connection was available in room but it was very slow. basic breakfast. food variety is so-so. the resort is 80 km away from Salalah which is good if you want to relax in the resort and not to need going to the city. but it also limit your options specially for eating as there are not many choices in the resort. Hotel buses go back and forth to airport/city daily. I recommend renting a car and book this hotel. on the way to hotel there are several roads to mountains which are beautiful to explore.

The hotel was fabulous. ”
The hotel was fabulous and the staff were extremely attentive and polite. We had an issue regarding the mix-up of the date for Christmas dinner. However, the staff did their utmost to make up for it and to make the situation better. There were areas to sit and relax indoors as well as other nice seating areas dotted around the hotel. The pools were nice and there was easy access to the beach. There were amazing rock pools with crabs and fish in them, great for exploring. It was nice to see the tourist sights that were close to the hotel - we went for two day tours. The airport is far away but the hotel provides a shuttle bus, which was fabulous. We loved it and the staff really did try and help in every way. The only improvement that I can think of is they should inform people of special dinners and special events. I would recommend the hotel.

The hotel is probably the best for value in Salalah. Good service. A shame that the breakfast options were not available upfront and wifi was limited to reception areas and had to get password slips.

In the web site ( agora,&there own website) showing they have lot of facilities( spa)but when we arrived we didn’t find any thing.the staff said the spa is closed. They stopped the service.if you wand to enjoy your salalah trip never go to Kairaba Mirbat resort. You will be disappointed.the rooms are not clean and the amenities are like normal bed and breakfast hotels . We are totally disappointed with the property.we try to cancel the booking but the agoda customer care not allowing to cancel.

Vacationing at the end of Oman”
The rooms and the hotel was quite nice. Service was good. The only issue was the internet. On the web page we looked at it says the internet is free. When you get to the hotel the internet is only free in the lobby. Rooms are provided with a internet jack cord for laptop computers and it is either 30 or 60 oman rials for t24 hours.

We did face certain issues with the amenities but the support was great and we were very well compensated for it. Customer service, although it was the peak season, was excellent. Kudos !! The hotel is very luxurious, very well kept and is truly in a class of its own.

Hotel beds were very comfortable! Rooms were very clean and spacious. Swimming pool was big enough to accommodate many groups of people, there was a volleyball area with a net and lots of deck chairs available.
