Feel like HOME :)”
Having been here many times in a month, stay in both dorm and 1 bed room with shared bathroom type. There is a warm atmosphere inside of the hotel, all modern, nice decoration, and clean. Especially, excellent service of the 2 owners, they truly understand customer's needs. Also, you guys should try coffee at the coffee shop downstair, it's really nice. I can say you will get much more than you pay for.:)

Thank you for your very nice review! It's mean a lot to us ^^
Good location”
Even though the hotel is located in the alley, but it’s near the main street, no need to get in deep way. This’s really safe for the girl who travel alone. Also this hotel is accessible to every location and easily to get the motorbike and taxi driver.

Approachable staff”
The place is a refurbished but very chic, industrial hotel.. near to restaurants. The staff is very fast to respond and understanding to our needs. Room is massive also!

Worth your money”
Stayed in dorm, big bed size and area. Common shower for M,F and Both. towel is provided. Except soap and shampoo (or maybe bcoz i stayed in dorm, not sure) Breakfast excatly at 8am. Good english speaking reception. the rooftop could have been better with plants.for coffee in the morning is a nice view of the city. used motor to go to asiatique(20baht) and BTS stn (20baht) and 20baht to my class Thai Yoga and Healing Art training Center. Nearby 711 place is quiet far from hustle bustle chaotic city . Place feels safe too. taxi can be arranged from dorm to airport for 500baht. Overall is great 9 day stay.

Nice place to stay ”
The minus was the location are quite far from Main Street. You have to walk around 30 minutes to get nearest BTS

You get what you pay for”
The area that Kama is in was fantastic for our stay. We didn’t want to be in the centre of Bangkok, but more get a feel for everyday life in the outskirts. There were plenty of good places to eat and grab a beer. Lots of side streets, with markets, to explore etc. So, yes, loved the location. Kama itself was clean and serviceable. The ladies (Jill and Nat) were lovely - friendly and helpful. My biggest issue came with how hard the bed was, and how austere the room. But, as the title says - you get what you pay for, and the room rate was fine for what we got. We did have to ask for our complimentary water, and for fresh towels - but, no biggy. The girls tell me that they have only recently taken over- so I expect they will slowly come into their own, and revamp as necessary. They did already mention refurbishing the roof top and making it a gathering spot - which I think will be great. Overall, a pleasant stay - but I don’t know if I’ll be back due to the uncomfortable bed.

Perfect for a romantic getaway”
There's art on the walls and beautifully decorated rooms. The guesthouse is tucked away on a small soi, which is lovely for a romantic weekend. There are a few restaurants nearby, though not many veg options (which is usual for Thailand though). My main concern was that the shared bathrooms were not cleaned often, which was a bit annoying.

Great Hotel!”
Loved that it was close to lots of things but not in the center of Bangkok. Was very nice and quiet but also easy to get to many locations all over the city! Loved this place! Also had great internet access and tv if you want to spend a quiet night in bed!

If you're up for an accommodation for partying, the location of the Kama is nothing for you. But otherwise it is great.

Its okay”
For us the downside was the location, its pretty far from the attractions in Bangkok. Although its near to BTS station and Pier for the ferry, you need to take a taxi or tuktuk or else you’ll ended up walking for at least 20-30minutes. Its outside of Bangkok main city centre and really is a hustle to get around. Room was big and comfy and the seperate toilets are clean and tidy. The wifi was weak, we expect better but our stay in Chiang Mai and Luang Prabang before coming here was incomparable. The receptions 2 guy and 1 lady was not the friendliest either.

Amazing value”
The room is really nice and quite big. Nicely decorated. It’s really a good value for the price. Only downside is the location but you can move around with motorbike taxi or Grab/Uber.

Hello Fabian Thank a lot for your kind review ! With regards to our location: we are actually quite close to the city center: it only takes 5/10 mins from Kama to Sathorn/Silom and 15/20 to the Sukhumvit area (outside of the traffic usual peak times). Maybe your comment refers to Kao San road and the Grand Palace areas, which are not well connected with the city center. It is indeed difficult to reach these quickly by car, and we usually recommend our guests to get there by taxi-boat from the nearby pier - much cheaper and faster (10 mins walking to the pier, 15 THB for the ride to the temple area) Again, we thank you for your review, which will surely help future guests as they make their travel arrangements to Bangkok ! Personal Safety and Property Security at Risk”
very helpful and welcoming. All staff showed a real concern for your stay and welfare in general, OR so I thought. Anything positive I want to say about this place is pointless, read below why I have rated the place as low as I can. In 30 years of travelling never had an incident like this happen. After a day out on business, returning early to sleep early, as I had to leave at 3.30am to catch a flight. Imagine my shock and horror to be woken at 9.30pm by another guest who had the staff master key opening my door then proceed to rummage through my things on the shelving to locate a USB he had left in the room as the previous occupier. NOT accompanied by a staff member ABSOLUTELY ALONE. What would have happened if I was a violent person or vice versa, could have ended a lot uglier than this. What if I was not in the room at the time, like during the day when I was out, what personal items could have been stolen - passport-money-computer-phone- gifts for family. Stealing the guest house, items or raiding the mini bar. This arrogant pig full of self entitlement did not even leave the room when challenged just ignored me and searched the room. After the absolute shock of this invasion, I challenged staff only to be told, wait for it, “HE IS A REGULAR here, he said he was staying in that room”. No checking of registers or even accompanying him to look for his item. Giving him the master key!Had earlier advised staff I had located the USB and told to leave it on the counter with my keys when I left. SO they had it reinforced I was in the room. Moral of this review, become a Kama Bangkok Barfly and have full entitlements to do as you wish, free reign to any room you wish at anytime, no matter if occupied. God protect any solo female travelers.

We truly apologize that this incident occurred and that you felt violated. The staff you spoke with were both new and did not follow protocol: it was the girls 1st day and she is now no longer employed with Kama. It is not true that if you are a 'barfly' or 'regular' here, you have full access to the hotel: alcohol is hardly a focus at Kama. What happened was a cross-cultural mistake: the guest had just stayed in that room, and told our new employee that he had left his 'key' in the room and wanted to look for it. He meant "USB Key", she understood "Door Key". We'd like to assure you this was a one-off experience and a cross-cultural mistake that could have been avoided: I accept this as my resp. for not training her better on her first day. If you read all our other reviews you'll never see a mention of this type of action, because it never happens. We strive to provide the best exp. for our guests and we will take this matter to heart as we train our current employees Tha
Cosy Place”
It is kinda cosy and cool place! If you don't worry about your breakfast or private bathroom, I could go and sleep there. Actually It's kinda inconvenience going because it's in Soi Sutprasert. You can take the BTS and get off it at the BTS Surasak and then take a motorbike taxi! Also all staff members are kind!! The place is kinda safe place!

good hostel”
I stay in there for two nights. the staff was really worry about, really kind and helpful. the atmosphere is really cool, modern art and really good care of facilities. the only thing I didn't note before was it doesn't have private bathroom and for me it's really necessary, but that was my mistake. congratulation for everything and have no doubts I will come back in there.☺️

Hello Felipe Thanks a lot for your warm feedback - you'll be welcome any time you wish (don't forget your discount code as a returning customer !) As an important note for our future guests : - Deluxe rooms are rooms with an offsuite bathroom: there are 3 shared bathrooms for 5 Deluxe rooms per floor. These bathrooms are for exclusive use (no one can access once you're in) and are cleaned 3/4 times a day. - Premium Deluxe rooms all have their private ensuite bathrooms If you booked the wrong room type, do not worry , you can upgrade at our reception desk :) Kind regards The Kama team
Pretty nice!”
It's a pretty nice place to stay close to the river to do wat po and the stuff. A lot of space in the dorm. Really recommend it.

Unpleasant surprise ”
After a long journey we arrived here. We advised to arrive late and having to leave early the next day. Noone present at check-in but they left a letter for us with the key. That was fine with us. Since letter also contained contact details, we wrote an email confirming again that (as indicated when booking) we had to leave early and still needed to pay before leaving. No response. At 07:20 there was a very helpful employee but he did not have access to any money and could not handle our payment. Our driver was already there and we really had to leave. Fortunately, another couple sitting outside could change money so that we could pay. Please note that this doesn't have a private bathroom! We don't think this is clear from the description. All facilities where modern and clean but since one of us was ill, we would have never booked this room knowing it to be with shared bathroom. Also didn't feel safe as a lady during the night going to the toilet since there was no staff.
