Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Kamala,Kamala - View on map
"Pros + The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. + The bed is super comfy! I love it so much! + Beautiful Kamala beach is in front of the hotel. + Nice staff + View from the pool is good, but it would be better if there is no fence next to the pool as it bothers the view. Cons - Crowded, full of family with kids - Amenities in the room are decreased due to Covid-19. You have to ask for those you want. - Location is far from the town and inconvenient for those who do not drive car. - No minimart or local restaurant in walking distance - Small swimming pool comparing to the number of rooms - Car park is at the base of the hill while the lobby is at the top so you have to take buggy to transfer between them. - The hotel is at the corner of the beach which is not the best part of Kamala beach. - The hotel's entrance is at the curve of mountain which is quite dangerous for driving."

InterContinental Phuket Resort (SHA Plus+)
Kamala,Kamala - View on map
"Our key agenda this trip was to get a full rest and Intercontinental was the perfect place for that. We have always been a fan of the one in Huahin and the hotel layout is similar. So book beach side if you want a beach view. We stayed in the Club ocean suite and for me it’s the best room in the house cause it had privacy but yet facing a beautiful view of the ocean. I also booked an inclusive breakfast and dinner pack and K. Fee at the restaurant was kind enough to manage dinner so I could pick from the menu instead of set. The front desk staff still has a bit more room to improve, but the rest of the staggering were great and I think the facilities were excellent. So we achieved our goal of getting full rest for this vacation. "

The Woods Natural Park Resort Phuket
Kamala,Kamala - View on map
"This place is perfect if you want to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of Patong. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. (Best bed we’ve ever slept in when traveling through Asia.) The staff is polite and very helpful. They will help you book a tour if you want to explore. There is also a shuttle into Kamala Beach that goes several times daily. But during both our adventures out of the resort we found ourselves just wanting to go back to our slice of paradise. We just wanted to be by the pool enjoying the hillside jungle around us. Book here now! You won’t regret it if you are looking for a quiet peaceful vacation! "

Keemala (SHA Plus+)
Kamala,Kamala - View on map
"There is no mistaking the look and feel of Keemala as a premium property for rest and relaxation, set in a verdant hilly backdrop of Phuket's Kamala beach. With 3 equally intriguing room types that are no doubt well appointed, providing an air of exclusivity and charm that make for wonderful memories. From the high tented ceiling, to the warm woody feel, akin to glamping. With every amenity provided such as complimentary juices in the minibar, to quality toiletries and and comfortable ecological strategies. However, with such a premium comes a premium critique. As in such a climate, some of the infrastructure suffer from disrepair. Staircase banisters that are rotted. Loose stair case boards. While the hand crank coffee bean grinder and drip coffee carafe was a hoot, the novelty quickly wore off and a Nespresso was well in order. Also, the thin tented walls did nothing to insulate from the very busy buggy traffic (#508) and noisy neighbours (2:30am)can be a bane on your slumber."

Cape Sienna Gourmet Hotel & Villas (SHA Plus+)
Kamala,Kamala - View on map
"When we booked cape sienna, we were very excited to see it. We landed in phuket international airport and then had to take a taxi from the airport which costed us 600 bahts. On reaching the hotel, we were taken to the first floor for the reception. As soon as the lift doors opened we were presented with a spectacular view of the ocean & Kamala beach. The staff was very polite & happy to receive us. They also offered a welcome drink, a flower to my wife & also gave us option of choosing any one fragrance which would be used in our room. The hotel has a great 24 hour poolside restaurant & you must visit Vanilla sky a lounge bar on the top floor which gives you a 360 view of the entire area. Though the hotel is not on the beach, the hotel has drop to kamala beach in the morning at 10 and if you don't opt for the same its just a 15 min walk to kamala beach. Kamala beach is clean and has great waters, good eating joints & also great thai massages. The hotel offers free drop to Patong beach at 5.30 pm & pick ups at 10pm from Patong which is great. The food, service, location was excellent. The hotel has a Spa which offer various spa massages but are a bit expensive. If you have the money then get the spa massages or else head to kamala beach where you would get an 1 hour massage for approx 350 bahts.I will definitely stay again here and recommend Cape Sienna to all. Kamala Resotel (SHA Plus+)

"Lee, one of their staffs, is very accommodating. We booked for a room with breakfast. Start of buffet breakfast is from 7am to 10am, we asked if it’s possible to have it served by 6am as we have scheduled activities (Phi Phi Island tour) by 7am, and they did. The following day, we need to be in the airport by 7am and they accommodated our request to again to have the breakfast served at earlier time. Their hotel has a modern architectural design. Their infinity pool has the best view! Location —- it’s just a 5 minute walk to Kamala Beach and 10 minute walk to FantaSea. Transportation is quite expensive in Thailand so staying in a hotel that is just a walking distance to the beach and main attractions are a plus! Highly recommended! Thanks, Kamala. "

Twinpalms MontAzure
Kamala,Kamala - View on map
"Big clean rooms and modern facilities there is a beach club called HQ attached to the hotel that you can use and the hotel offers a shuttle service to the other beach clubs palms and catch on bangtao beach and their sister hotel Twinpalms hotel in Surin and as a resident you can use their facilities also, the staff are very friendly, there is not much to do outside of the hotel so the hotel shuttle service to surin is a godsend as it’s free to and from the hotel but there are loads of beach restaurants and shops on Kamala beach should you wish to eat there, there are 2 swimming pools of a good size but there are not enough beach chairs or cabanas around the infinity pool they go rather quickly as the hotel residents have an annoying habit of reserving them and disappearing for the whole day and the other beach chairs are in the middle of the shallow pool so it is a bit awkward but should you prefer you can use HQ beach club where there are plenty of chairs and more cabanas but no pool "

The Naka Phuket Villa (SHA Plus+)
Kamala,Kamala - View on map
"This resort is perfect for couples and just to relax in phuket. I was traveling with my friends (Group of 3) which we stayed in the villa together. Sad to say, the resort is not really for those travelers whose aim is to roam around easily as the location is quite isolated. This resort makes me feel very safe as there is guards around the resort and they are very friendly. This resort provide great services, and gives good quality amenities. overall, the resort have a very good scenery and very good quality environment. However, if you are thinking of traveling to other beaches, you may need to think twice. the closes beach is Kamala beach, which takes around 15 mins of car ride if the traffic is good. If you are thinking of travelling to Patong beach, the travelling time would take you around 20 - 30 mins if the traffic is good. This resort is famous in phuket and a little pricey. However, the service and scenery is what you will receive in exchange of the pricey tag. the price of the food in the restaurant is quite cheap as compared to other five star hotel/ resort. The Spa is easily fully booked. So, if you wish to try the spa in the resort, book the slot early. there is snorkeling activity and other sea activities which is totally free. they even provide scuba diving (but when i visit, there is no instructor as they are hiring). I would strongly recommend this resort to travelers whose aim is for romantic and relaxation. This resort would be a perfect destination for honeymoon or any anniversary trip. It would definitely hype up the romantic atmosphere. Conclusion is, if you are looking for a romantic/ relaxing stay in phuket, this is a perfect stay for you! "

More about Kamala

Located on Phuket's west coast, just north of Patong, Kamala is far less hectic than its neighbor. Although the southern end of the beach can get busy in the high season, the northern end is peaceful all year round.

The beach itself is home to a number of small bungalows and huts, as well as several restaurants offering delicious fresh seafood. Capitalizing on the wonderful sea and mountain views, secluded resorts are usually nestled higher up amongst the trees on the headland, and are only a few minutes’ walk to the northern end of the beach. On Beach Road, visitors can also find an abundance of eateries serving both Western and Thai dishes. Cheaper food options, and market stalls can be found on the main Kamala Road. There are a growing number of bars in the area, mostly catering to tourists.

There are a number of attractions in the area, chief among them being Phuket FantaSea, an exuberant show and cultural theme park that combines the rich heritage of Thailand with unique 4D effects and animals. The 140-acre park includes a 4,000-seat restaurant offering a grand buffet of Thai and international cuisine and a shopping street selling local products.

At the southern end of the beach stands the lovingly-restored Kamala Wat. A memorial tree in the garden holds a dedication plaque to those lost in the tsunami and the temple walls are a beautiful depiction of Buddha’s story.

Most guests arrive from Phuket International Airport via taxi cab. Taxis, songthaew and local buses are also available to take visitors to nearby Patong. However, the cheapest and most convenient way to get around is to rent a motorcycle from one of the many shops around the island.
