I liked the ambience of the hotel and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was nicely decorated but a bit dark. However, when I requested for additional light, the staff quickly responded by bringing in an additional lamp. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good also!
Nice basic hotel in the heart of Phnom Penh”
This is the 4th time I've stayed here. The staff are very nice and helpful. Rooms are basic but big and functional. Would recommend. Friends restaurant is around 500 meters away and the riverside about 800 meters. Central market is 600 meters or so away so near everything but a quiet street.
Friendly staff, nice quiet location, lare rooms”
Kambuja Inn is on a quiet street no 174 in Phnom Penh. The rooms are huge and the celings high, my bathroom was gigantic. The staff is really friendly and they helped me get bus tickets, and immediately delivered them to my room. I think the staff make this place nice. Big windows and a balcony in the front and a nice courtyard. Nice place and nice people.
lovely lovely heritage hotel”
we really like the hotel. classic french architecture with cambodian elements. antique furnitures. huge huge room with dining table. superb location. walking distance to the riverfront, museum and palace. in fact, can even walk to psar thmey. easy to get tuktuk. met with the owners - very friendly people. will definitely come back.
Great stay away from the noise”
pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room and bathroom given the price and star rating. the furnishing and decor was simple and tasteful. the service was friendly from all the staff. they helped me book the bus trip to siem reap with no hassle, attended to all my requests, and provided great help with all of my sightseeing related questions.
Lovely hotel with awesome ambience! Awesome!”
service is very good. should book tuktuk and tickets to other provinces in cambodia through the hotel. breakfast is simple but very satisfying. this hotel does serve a social cause, very meaningful. staff is very attentive and provide a very pleasant staying experience. do stay here!
Quiet Haven in Phnom Penh”
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Inn was architecturally pleasing in a villa style. While the rooms were not palatial they were well appointed with the amenities wanted.....WiFi, hot shower, AC
the hotel with extreamely nice staff”
i like the way the hotel decorate the room with flower and all. the room is very clean, though pretty dark with only the yellow light. i was in a bigger room and had it all for myself so it was very convenience. i asksed to see the smaller room and it looks ok as well. the hotel location is good, as it is a walking distance to the national museum and the river side near foreign correspondence club of cambodia (fccc), one of the most famous spot along the river. it is good to be in cambodia to work and able to stay in the quiet hotel, as you would really need to rest by the end of the day! the staff are extreamely friedly and gave me a few good suggestion and also calling for me the openair taxi whenever i need one, with a good price too. i like my stay in the hotel and will definitely come back.
Wonderful owner. Wonderful Place. Great Staff”
The owner has the heart of an angel and supports her staff by paying for their education and striving to help Phnom Penh progress through positive action. Kambuja Inn was built in the 1920's for the french and was eventually turned into a nice boutique guest house. You will feel as if taken back to a different time in history. We got upgraded to the big room which was quite large! Great stay.
Well below par.”
First they were. It going to let my girlfriend in because she did not have an ID card, despite having g a birth certificate. The bathroom smelt of mildew, the toiletries were inadequate and the floor was filthy. I had to ask for clean towels and the room was not made up... Not sure why this place has been so well reviewed. Far better value for money close by. At this price, other hotels provide breakfast...none here.
Great location and way bigger than I expected.”
Kambuja Inn was in a convenient spot in Phnom Penh. Pretty close to the market and plenty of restaurants and nightlife. The staff was very friendly and they always helped me out when I needed a taxi or directions. The place is a little old and not in the greatest shape but for me it was more than enough. The bed was big and nice, which is my main concern in a hotel as cheap as this. I would definitely stay here again.
Antique charm, modern comforts, ”
The building is French colonial, with original antique furniture and fittings. The room was just beautiful. Big enough to live in, immaculate ensuite, beautifully furnished with antiques. Cool and comfortable with a large ceiling fan and aircon. The staff were eager to help at every turn and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was excellent, served in a lovely dining space. I will definitely stay again.
Charming hotel, nice location, comfortable stay”
This is such a charming and comfortable hotel, well-located to restaurants and top attractions, yet on a quiet street. The staff was easy to converse with in English and were great. My room was extremely dark at night, which could easily be remedied with higher voltage bulbs.
Nice decorated hotel”
Had 1 night stay here and got a spacious room for 3 of us. The only bad experience was the hotel had power trips twice in the middle of the night. No one was at the counter and we had to go down to look for the staff who can resolve the problem.
Good Value for Money in central Phnom Penh”
The Hotel is away from the expensive riverside. Therefore good value for money. Family run business. Very friendly stuff. Nothing was a problem. Close to nightlife bars and shopping malls. With motorbike access to the whole city. Very plesant stay. I will go there again.
Friendly staff and clean room”
Very friendly staff, quiet neighborhood. a clean and comfy room and a decent breakfast. But there were two problems for me: 1) the room was a bit dark even with all the lights on; and 2) hot water was gone during a shower and came back, say, after about 5 minutes, and gone again, etc.
Huge room, very comfortable stay”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Kambuja Inn. My room was huge, with a separate 'dining' area and a door through to a massive bedroom with king sized bed. The room had effective air con and plenty of fans. The fresh fruit and water on arrival was a nice touch. The hotel is centrally located, just 5 mins walk to the riverfront and a short tuk tuk ride from all of the attractions. Breakfast is freshly prepared and delicious. Overall, a very good stay for the price.
nice hotel, friendly stuff, perfect for that price”
I really enjoyed staying in that hotel. The bed smelled clean and the laundry too. I never found that good laundry service anywhere in Asia. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was also very nice.
Best location in PP”
If you like to walk, this is the hotel for you; it's central location means a quick walk to the national museum, waterfront, central market, street 51....I hardly ever took a tuktuk in PP. Despite being in the center of it all the rooms in back were quiet. The seems to be some construction across the street but non-street side was fine. Breakfast was good (free coffee refill ) and two pieces of clothing laundered for free. Welcoming staff too.
Nice Boutique Hotel in the middle of the city”
Kambuja Inn is a fine boutique hotel located in the nice location of Phnom Penh. It's near the government offices and not that far from the monument and the river. The room is too big for a solo traveler (Great). My room was on the ground floor with some nice garden in front of it. The breakfast is pretty generous... There's a musky wooden smell in the room which is ok with me, but I don't think it's everyone's favourite.
