"It has been the most satisfactory experience of hotel staying since I begun travel home and abroad. There're few guests and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There being not a lot of rooms and the guests are mainly from Europe or Malaysia or India. The food is excellent and I especially love the muffin they serve on breakfast. The trekking to the Mukut Village and the waterfall takes longer than we were told. Actually it took us 4 hours to walk to Mukut not yet seeing the Waterfall. It's really a peacefull place only you hear is the birds singing or maybe the monkeys on the back mountain screaming. If you don't want to stick to the place they also offer a bunch of activities. Of course the jet is a little expensive than we expected. 80 rm/trip/person Next time I shall suggest my family to come with me!"

"we stayed here for 2 nights. We were SURPRISED to be well greeted as we were concerned about the bad review we read before. Welcome drinks were served and the staffs were friendly. We had to go to Kampung Mukut by water taxi from Genting. Travelling time was about 15 mins to Mukut. We were greeted by amazing blue clear water. We could also see the corals around the jetty. There are a lot of activities around Mukut as compared to others' village. Hiking, Asah Waterfall and etc. The villagers are super friendly. They like to tell stories about Tioman. Food is affordable. The room is very comfortable, clean and worth the money. We didn't have to pay anything extra. I have been to tioman several times but I had different experience at Kampung Mukut. The place is underrated! Best budget trip I've ever had! "

"It is a bit tricky to get in/out Mukut by boat but Sam and Alif were very helpful all time. Cataferry might go direct to Mukut depending on the season. There is only one small supermarket with few things so better take supplies from mainland or Genting as fruit or bread. There are a few restaurants in Mukut very nice though. Good roti canai near the school!! Perfect place for being quiet, trekking or climbing the fabulous Dragon Horns...and more. Uncle Sam wil help you with the climbing topos, always with a smile in his face. Alif and Sam will help in everything is needed as well with the best attitude and positivism. Very recommendable place to run out of the crowds and have a brief of a Kampung village and the nature."

"I stayed 2 times at this resort. I LOVE this place! Great view from room, beach in front, beautiful beach 5min walk, snorkeling and best staff i've met during my travel. Its a quiet and relaxing place. Uncle Sam cooks fantastic, G does a good job at the bar and tam is the best manager making your stay just perfect. You can also eat outside of the hotel. Don't think to find many restaurants but they have enough to find something nice. Theres a waterfall nearby to visit. Snorkeling equipment is free and you can see many fish and corals. You can arrange daytrips to other places in tioman. Theres also trekking and climbing to do here. Its a basic room but made lovely with the wallcolor and bedsheet. Breakfast was always good specialy the fresh eggs :) i've met so many nice people in mukut and at this resort. I try to come back whenever i can. Thank you Tam, uncle Sam and G!"

"Mukut is a great place to stay when you like to get in touch with locals and their culture. It's quite isolated from the rest of the island and really calm. There are several "activities" to do: you can hike to the Assah waterfall or to the bottom of the dragon's horns (great viewpoint). Otherwise, there are a few good and really cheap restaurants in Mukut, like on the jetty or close to the school (for breakfast). Simukut place is really spacious. The bungalows have a nice view over the palms and the sea. There are several nice spots to hang around. It's situated between two beaches. The sea was quite rough, so we couldn't snorkel. The chalet has a nice little porch. The rooms are basic, but we were really fine with it. The bedsheets were a bit smelly. The staff was really helpful, especially Din took great care of us. We fell in love with Mukut and we will come back for sure. :)"
