Double Room with Sea View
Stayed 7 nights in July 2015
Worth the price but not more”
Swimming pool, quiet, nice little beach about 7 minutes walk away.
The picture showing the view on see is not relevant at all.
The hotel is isolated, need a car or scooter. Nearest only place for dinner is 15 minutes walk.
It say "studio" so I thought we'd have a little kitchen, but no, only a noisy fridge.
No safe is the room, only at the reception.
The good thing is the little pleasant swimming pool, but no shade or parasol at all.

Double Room with Sea View
Stayed 1 night in May 2015
Shoulder Seasoon Kanelis Studios”
The beautiful view of the contryside and the sea. Rural setting about a 15 minute walk to the beach. Quiet for a good nightrs sleep.
My stay was in the shoulder season on the 6th of May. I was the only person at the hotel. Many tourist activities were not yet available on the island. The owner(?) was helpful and responded to telephone, SMS, and email. Her English was good. I was met at the hotel by a person with limited English and shown how the room worked.
The room was adequate the bed good and I got a good night’s sleep. However, I feel the ‘Studio’ designation was misleading. It only had a mini fridge and on top; 2 glasses, 2 mugs, I plastic glass, coffee, sugar, and a ¼ liter metal cup with handle for heating on a small cup size heater. No dishes, cutlery, pots nor bottle/can opener. This was suitable only for making coffee or tea. There was a nice balcony with a wonderful view and a good wood table with two matching chairs.
The location was beside a main road in a pretty rural setting. The closest place to buy bottled water (generally the water on the island is not recommended for drinking), food, beverages, etc, was 5.9 Km away in the main town of Adamas. There did not appear to have a restaurant or snack shop on site. I would only recommend this place to someone with transportation (scooter, car, or perhaps bicycle). There was supposed to be a bus, but either the times I was given was wrong or the bus wasn’t running. It appeared that about the latest the buses were running anywhere on the island was about 5:00 PM. In high season there would probably be buses scheduled but my understanding is they would only run a few times a day. The bus stop was beside the hotel. For me a 12 km walk for a meal was a bit too far. Transportation was not included on arrival or departure, taxi was 12 euro one way.
The swimming pool was one depth throughout and probably not suitable for young children.
Recommended for people on a budget and with transportation or who LOVE walking.
