There are 2 areas of Kanok Buri Resort, separated by the road. 1 is beach front resort (with restaurant & swimming pool) and the other 1 is Pool Villa (with gym). Nice beach. Simple breakfast. Clean & Quiet. Friendly staff. Booked Pool Villa. Small but nice pool with sun loungers. Separate rain shower & bathtub. Spacious.
Nice location ”
Overall it was a nice stay. However it was a bit over-rated I think. The room was quite nice but the main reason why I booked the room was because of the jacuzzi. However it was really only a slightly large bathtub that could only fit one person. This was quite disappointing. When my girlfriend actually tried to use it she had to clean it 3 times before finally giving up. My room was also supposed to have a sea view but that did not happen either. Apart from this we had a nice stay. The staff performance was very good and the restaurant was very nice. Good location.
The 2 front desk ladies are the best”
It was great. It was a delight to see people do their jobs well with a smile. The breakfast is ok but the buffet table is in the saun outside and it is so hot to eat breakfast outdoor. I felt so bad for the lady who was cooking the eggs in that sun. The front desk ladies are genuine and kind, their attitude will make this resort succeed. thank you
Good location away from Samui hustle and bustle”
I stayed here as it was close to the Samui duathlon I was participating in. The hotel staff was very accomodating, in arranging hotel vans to and back from the airport, and they also arranged for a take-away breakfast so I could eat before my race. We were also able to get a late check-out without too much hassle, and the staff were very understanding and courteous. The beach was nice, quiet and secluded, so good for couples and family trips. The hotel pool had too much chlorine and was very small which was the only downside. Oh, and the bacon at breakfast was excellent!
A week at the Kanok Buri”
The Kanok Buri is on the south west coast of Koh Samui - remember the Island is easy to get around by scooter (my wife and I circumnavigated in a day with long stops for lunch massages etc) so best of both worlds - out f main stream but still close enough. The staff are brilliant - we had New Years Eve there and they did a fantastic job on the party. Villas are roomy and very comfortable but feel a little close to each other. Would recommend this to anyone we had a great time.
Very remote location Only a shuttle bus to go to one of three towns with no return trip on offer Beach is littered with some debris and a few smoke butts probably not the resorts fault Staff are great though and very welcoming Rooms spacious Nothing there besides bar and restaurant.
Loved staying at Kaok Buri. Amazingly helpful and friendly staff. Room and facilities were clean. Location is perfect if you want a more quiet romantic experience. Quite far from the hype of Koh Samui, but plenty restaurants nearby.
Great staff, could be perfect with some propper water pressure...”
The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is far from the action taking place on the Island. If you are looking for very quiet place, this is it. The only issue was with the water pressure which was very very low. One might want a good shower to get rid of the sand...
remote... limited breakfast... helpful staff”
i had a private room with jacuzzi, where the pool is not that clean, but their staff is really helpful for anything requested. breakfast choice is quite limited and boring. the worst part of the hotel is the location, it is far from everything except for the ferry to don sak.... will recommend if you just want to have a relax stay in the resort,
2 days samui Holiday ”
First we check in a delux room With jacuzzi on balcony, the first room she show us was unacceptable, small, dirty, and the jacuzzi is a plastic ebay thing!!! Same as the shower all plastic and massage function was not working!! So after a few minutes talking to the reception we get a deluxe bungalow, this bungalow was better the the room but still the same shower and jacuzzi, very cheap stuff! When we open the bubble function in the jacuzzi stinking air is coming out of it... Defiantly a no go! Room was clean and ok. Breakfast was included and was also "ok". The beach is really great, white, fine sand and water is also nice and clean. The pool area was ok, the public pool has also a jacuzzi function but dint work My opinion is they need to invest some money to make everything work and change that cheap charley showers and jacuzzis then the hotel worth the money. A I forget, the gym was totally unacceptable, old machines and nearly everything was broke!! A no go!
Nice beach resort.”
we enjoyed our stay here, we decided to upgrade our room after we arrived and it was no problem. The staff were really helpful with everything during our stay, including car rental, scooter rental, boat trip, taxi hire, transfers etc. Great little private beach.
Best Asian holiday ever !!!”
Our stay was excellent - from the time of arrival to the time of departure. Staff was so friendly and helpful - couldn't do enough to help. Loved the quiet location right on the beach, including kayaks. The breakfasts were delicious - food being topped up all the time, instead of sitting there drying out. It was great to have a vehicle going into Chaweng each day for shopping, restaurants etc. But we enjoyed shopping and eating across the road from resort - prices so very cheap and people so happy! We didn't want for anything! I can't wait to go back!! My very best "Asian" holiday ever - having been many times to Bali, Malaysia and Phuket.
We stayed for 2 nights at Kanok Buri in order to attend a wedding nearby. Transfer from airport was approx 45 mins. On arrival, staff were friendly and helpful with a quick check-in process. We had booked the Deluxe Jacuzzi Villa and while not 5 Star, we were delighted with the quality given the price we'd paid through Agoda. Room was clean and spacious, with a large bathroom and a secluded area for the jacuzzi/mini pool. The resort backed onto a great beach and had a private lounger area. Staff were very helpful and polite, arranging taxis and transfers at a reasonable rate. I would stay here again in the future if the chance arose.
Clean, tidy, small & compact hotel”
It was perfect for my stay as I was on a 6 day fitness and wellbeing holiday and fitness base was was about 15 mins away. It was great to come home to after a full days activities, its on the beach, nice and small with a few local restaurants around. It was perfect for its quiteness, away from the crowds and little if any night life. The internet was excellent. The staff were very freindly and it was nice to sit on the terrace by the beach and just relax. Beach was perfect for doing nothing..... ot busy at all
Perfect holiday in an incredible pool villa”
As soon as we checked in, the staff were attentive and lovely. We initially booked a deluxe jacuzzi villa but were upgraded to a private pool villa as the other rooms were full. The pool villa was absolutely amazing - the decor was beautiful and the semi outdoor shower and jacuzzi was so nice. We loved it so much that we decided to stay for another night. The staff were all extremely helpful and always went out of their way to greet us.
The daily dilemma: pool or beach?”
I had an enjoyable two-night stay in a pool villa at the Kanok Buri Resort. What's I enjoyed most was the extra long and large bathroom, and direct access to the villa's private pool from the huge open shower. Golf carts can whisk you between your villa and reception if the walk seems too far. Don't miss the sunset from the beachfront restaurant. It's magical.
Nice Staff. Perfect romantic room for couples”
We arrived there at 9pm, and asked for early check out next morning. Staff gave us a big welcome with Thai tee and wet towel. When we asked for early check out next morning (5am),they offered morning call service and asking if we want them to put some food and drinks in boxes next morning which is extremly sweet. They have mini-car to carry guests between reception and rooms which are quite closed to each other even in the early morning 5am. In addition, this is the best room for couples' honey moon, tidy, spacious, with own garden and private swimming pool. By the way , there is a nice sea food resturaunt about 4mins away from this hotel named Big John you can try. Best Choice I made during my Thai journey.
Closed to nikkibeach club”
Our main goal its Nikkibeach club,so its only 300 meters from our hotel. About hotel: we have superior room with jacuzzi .room big , not new ,but clean.jacuzzi its old rubbish .breakfast its poor .beach its ok.
the stay was almost perfect!!”
i would say the stay was almost perfect, i can give out a A- for this resort...the villa, the beach, the pool, the service is pretty much 100!~ just the location is kinda dispointing, it took me and the taxi driver 60mins to find the resort, and it's not as close as i thought to the lipa noi pier, u can never walk to the pier if u r catching a early bird ferry!!trust me!!!! I would recommond this resort to all my friends...
very nice villa with pool. good price / performanc”
Villas of the fence, and with his pool. very comfortable with young children. Breakfast is very bad, but we went by car to the island and eating in restaurants. In principle, more than breakfast nothing to complain about. for my money the perfect choice
