Cheap, but.....”
First up it is very cheap and for certain travellers it will be more than adequate. But it was just not for me. I found the bed very hard to the point of not being able to sleep very well at all. Seeing ants crawling over the milk bottles put me off breakfast which otherwise looked ok. Otherwise location was good and for many the price will be worth it.

Should improve the water or check thw resort water pipe as water were gone in yellow colour all the time.

Good hotel by the river”
The hotel is not easy to find as there are so many resorts/hotels around the same area. They serve great breakfast and the surrounding was great! Although we could laze outside the balcony, we did not as there are mosqitoes and tiny flies.

Lovely resort next to the canal”
If you are looking for a quiet & peaceful place at Ampawa. I would suggest to stay at this lovely resort. The highlight here is you will have a chance to give food to the monk. He will come to the dock of the resort by boat in the morning. There are some fruit garden nearly the hotel as well. However, if you want to go to the main market, you need to arrange your own transportation. No service from the hotel.

My family and I were very impressed with the resort atmosphere. The staff were very nice and helpful. We rented a boat to the floating market and it was very good. The breakfast was very very nice - variety of authentic Thai food with desserts.. We plan to go there again very soon.
