Value for overnight stay”
Not in a city but not too far from tourist spot but not suit for backpacks because there is no public transportation nearby nor walking distance. Room is ok for its price also pool is nice. Breakfast is just ok for survival. Front desk staff is helpful. Breakfast staff (ladies) need a lot of service improvement and training, they just fighting each other on my stay (8 Mar 21) Room is nice except air-condition is too old. Overall is fine and value for it price

Disappointed ”
I've stayed in hotels and resorts all over Thailand and we decided to stay here for multiple nights. The room was not cleaned for multiple days as there was no cleaner on duty. There was no selection for breakfast and no fresh milk for coffee. The swimming pool was nice and the room was large with a good size shower but unfortunately because of the aforementioned issues I could not recommend this as a place to stay.

Located far from touristic center nearby a road with big traffic. So you better have a bike or car to reach the hotel. The hall and swimming pool are not very clean, with leaves and dust. The room were without mosquito nets, so it was not comfortable to sleep with closed windows. Also we had early checkout about 8 and breakfast at 7:30 was still not ready, so we had to wait about 15 min. And finally they forgot to tell their driver to carry us to the bus station and he did it in last moment at 5 min to departure. That made me nervous. Maybe it was because we were the only guests in the hotel that day...but nevertheless.

Ancient city architecture with all the mod cons”
The Kanpura Hotel is about 6 kilometres out of town, and about one kilometre after a left turn for Sai Yok. It is a new hotel designed as an ancient building, with terra cotta brick walls, similar to the city walls of Chain Rai or Chiang Mai, and with white towers The rooms have a double traditional style dark wood door, with a tiled floor. Our room was well designed , quiet, with comfortable mattresses on a wooden platform. The room is air-conditioned, with a safe, fridge, desk, gilded mirror, and cable TV with some English channels. One interesting feature is the bathroom which has an open shower looking over an enclosed garden. The bathroom also featured a gilded mirror, a dark wood table with a modern basin, and modern fittings. The curtains are good quality and block out the light when drawn. The hot water was very welcome after a day trekking the Hell Fire Pass. There are 2 pools—one by the river, and the other further back in the resort. The breakfast was not a buffet but a set menu in a lovely round building with very high ceilings overlooking the river, and consisted of ham, bacon, 2 eggs, salad, and toast, all of generous proportions. The coffee and tea were also very good. The restaurant at this time is not open for other meals. The hotel is in a very convenient location to visit the main tourist sites such as Sai Yok, Sri Nakarin dam, the War Cemetery and River Kwai Railway etc, however due to its location a car or other transport is required. The room was exceptionally good value. The staff at reception, in the restaurant, and in particular the car par attendant were all friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again, and will be interested to see how the hotel develops when it is fully staffed and completed.

Lovely otel with great, smiling, staff”
Hotel located approx 5-10 min ride from main centre. The location is ideal for those wanting somewhere relaxing and away from busier areas but still accessible to them. It is also handily located for the roads out of town to Errewan waterfalls and Bridge on River Kwai. All the staff, from the security and maintenance up to the reception and managers are extremely polite and helpful. Do not be surprised if they engage you in conversations as they are keen to improve their English The rooms are a good size and very tastefully decorated. There are two swimming pools with one overlooking the River Kwai..lovely setting. Breakfast was good. Nice coffee shop adjacent to the hotel if you need a caffeine fix.

the only bad thing with this hotel is the location. it's a bit far from the center of kanchanaburi. but the view from the dining hall over the river was very nice! staff was wonderful. the hotel is brand new so it's a bit tricky with the food in the resturant, but we made a list of what we wanted to eat a few hours before and they made a wonderful dinner for us and made us feel like vip guests. food was very delicious and cheap. they have 2 pools and still building on a jacuzzi. rooms are very clean and nice. the shower is nice with the "nature" view. price for this hotel is unbelievable cheap. if the hotels locations would be in other more tourist place the price would be 4 times higher. recommend +++++

Remote place, great hotel”
Please note we rented a car for this trip in Kanchanaburi, so access was no problem. The hotel is located on the main road, but it is farther out from the main city. It is a very nice quite remote area right next to the river. The decor was great, felt rich and exotic. The room also was very beautiful, was surprised as the private outdoor shower, but it was also very wonderful. Half the bathroom (toilet and sink was under a roof, other half had no roof but had plants and such next to it with wall - so it felt like you were outside. Free wifi and breakfast available - definitely a place to take it easy and relax. Breakfast was European style - eggs, bacon, toast, sausage, juice, tea, etc. The river is right next to the restaurant, so it's gorgeous and you can take a dip.

Brief stay during our first visit to Kanchanaburi. Quiet location and friendly and very helpful staff so we doubled the length of our stay. Would definitely recommend if you visit River Kwai.

Quiet secluded little hotel with potential...”
Kanpura was a nice place to stay in Kanchanaburi but the location was a bit isolated. Also, the hotel seems new and unfinished as construction workers and noise were constant during the day. Also there were two pools but one was completely drained of water and the other was much to dirty to swim in. Also, there was no room service and the little restaurant was only open in the mornings for a simple breakfast....no choice...no buffet, just simple ham,eggs and toast. However, the staff were super friendly and nice. The rooms were comfortable and clean except for the bathroom, which is private but totally an outside area adjoining the room.

Brand new hotel located on the river, 8 km north from Kanchanaburi. Too close a bridge but traffic noise don't affect the hotel's atmosphere. Staff friendly and ok. Rooms are comfartable with nice semi-outdoor bathroom. Rooms with no safe. Excellent wifi. Clean rooms and clean hotel. Breakfast on order ok but but not same level as hotel is....you'd expect more and better choice. Overall good value for money.

The best room cleaning service i ever had before”
I had a very nice stay in this Hotel. Its a bit outside of the central of Kanchanabuti. I was very impressed of things like the superb staff who cleaned my room that i would eat from the floor. I´ve been treaten very friendly and will defenately come back when i stay in Kanchanaburi. Its still a bit under construction but i even had a very nice and relaxing stay there. Open Air shower is very cool.

Nice and new”
The hotel is very new and very clean. Staff is good and ready to help. Room accommodation is good. I like that the bathroom is open air and you can see and feel fresh nature beside. As the hotel is very new, some decoration and work didn't finish yet and still on going. However, I'm very satisfied staying this hotel with this price and will be back again for sure. Breakfast is somewhat ok, no buffet but select dish which is quite not enough for me but taste good. There are many mosquito in the area so better bring some protection.

Lovely resort with great facilities”
Overall I enjoyed my stay at Kampura, the price was great for the standard of the resort. The room was new, with comfortable bed, LCD TV, private garden and open roof shower. Breakfast was decent and staff friendly. There were also some cons: the hotel is still under construction, the walls are too thin and I could hear all the noise from neighbors, open toilet means a lot of insects going inside (advise: close the door!!!).
