Convenient location”
Kapok hotel has a very convenient location, clean spacious bedroom, good water pressure in the shower, great breakfast, basically for us it was a satisfying stay, will definitely consider it again if we were to visit Yilan Luo Dong in the future.

Immaculate hotel with impeccable service!”
The Kapok Hotel and Resort is immaculately and offers beautifully furnished rooms with all the essential amenities. Breakfast is delicious with both Taiwanese and western style food. The hotel is located near the popular Luodong market. The best part about this hotel is the incredibly helpful service. For example, while checking in, the manager on duty, Ms. Ally noticed my sister was coughing and immediately offered hot tea or hot water for her cold. I’ve traveled the world, stayed in many fine hotels but have never experienced such personal attention! Thank you, Ms. Ally. A big surprise to our visit to Luodong was the the exquisite dinner (seven course and prix fixe for about US$30) prepared by Kapok Hotel’s Chef Adnaan who had received his culinary training from a Michelin rated chef in England. Chef Adnaan designed the seven course menu to gradually increase the intensity of Indian flavors with each course. No heavy curry sauce during our entire meal. Everything was light but very flavorful. We started out with a delicate amuse bouche of passion fruit infused yogurt, followed by thin Indian bread topped with salsa and yogurt dip, then a perfectly balanced chicken soup with a hint of coconut milk and cilantro, then a simple broiled salmon and scallop dish and finally the main entree of filet of the freshest small yellowfin tuna, served on a bed of lentils sauce with enough Indian spices to balance the richness of the tuna. The tuna was served with rice, roasted peppers and a special local string beans sauté with a hint of garlic. Everything was cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with homemade ice cream (with cardamon and saffron flavor) and puff pastry filled with carrot/coconut milk puree. It was indeed an exquisite meal. Great location and personalised service!”
We are enormously surprised by the level of service of this modern, clean hotel. It is of the same level as any 5-star city hotel, in fact far more personalised due to its smaller size. We're a family with four bigger kids and Mr Adnaan who manages Outbound Sales was a great help us to suggest and arrange our daily trips in Yilan. His recommendation of places for local eats are also spot one. The Luodong night market is practically at the door step of the hotel and other attraction are pretty nearby too. We had a thoroughly wonderful time in Yilan because of Kapok Hotel!

Comfort!friendly staff!good breakfast!room service good.internet speed fast.even I left my hand phone forgot to bring out,when I come back to the hotel in the night,they already tidy up my room and my hand phone they keep one side nicely.after check out we go back to taipei ximending just realize my brother left a pillow in the kapok hotel he bought it at Lou dong night market.not expensive,around Singapore dollar $30.so I contact kapok hotel,your know what they do?they mail back Singapore to me and no charge me shipping fees.very good service right?next time when I go yilan I sure will stay kapok again.

Chic hotel in a small town”
Loved my stay at this hotel. Excellent location - walk down and you're at Luodong night market. It's a 10-15 min walk from the train station, so it depends on whether you want to do a foodie stay or traipse around Yilan. The room was spacious, clean and modern-chic. Think full glass-walled bathroom and really smooth sheets with fluffy pillows. I felt totally comfortable in this hotel. Service was impeccable. We were provided with a food map of good eats in the night market, and breakfast was very decent. The staff in general is super earnest and helpful too. Would totally head back if I ever visit Luodong again.

Comfortable and Enjoyable trip”
The room was big and clean. The location is situated right next to the Luodong Night Market which makes it an awesome location to stay in. It is only about 10-15mins walk to the train station. Arrived too early and couldn't check it, and so decided to do my sightseeing first before checking in. Staff recommended a few places to me and help checked out the opening timing for me which was really helpful. I only checked in during late afternoon and found the room very comfy although I felt that the shower head location could be placed further in and not smacked right at the door causing the bathroom floor to be very wet. Also, it would be better if the sitting backrest of the desk chair could be higher because the edges are resting on my lower back when I try to lean back. Hotel also provided me a hotel area map especially the night market which is just situated next street to the hotel. the map is really useful because it highlighted a few of the MUST TRY food in the night market.. but I think the map needs some updating as I couldn't find some of the stores.. :( Overall, I would stay back at this hotel again if I was to be back in the near future.

Perfect Location”
It was the first time we visited Yilan lawtong. The famous night market is within walkable distance as it located two blocks away from the hotel. Service of the staff was exceptionally good which was totally out of our expectation (small hotel in such a small town). The room was extremely spacious and nicely decorated. The washroom and shower area was like those at resort hotel with Panasonic cold/warm air ventilation system installed. We highly recommend this more than worth for money hotel!

Personalised service, central location, modern”
Pleasantly surprised by hotel modern feel and furnishing. Beds were firm and bathrooms impeccable (though would appreciate some shower curtain to prevent splashes). We're a family with 3 younger kids and Mr Adnaan took particular care in providing us with a baby care seat for our daily tours. This small detail touch us very much in addition to the great suggestions of local sights to visit and delights to savour. Kapok's is centrally located within the Luodong night market which is great! Friendly Staff and clean room”
We totally enjoyed throughout our 3 days stay there. They had upgraded us to Presidential Suite and the suite is well maintained, clean and cosy that sometimes we didn't even want to leave the room for sightseeing. The buffet breakfast had a good variety spread of food selection. The hotel is located within 2 minutes walk to Luodong Night Market which has good local delights and great shopping.

Good stay”
The location is good, very near to Luodong night market. The bad about the room is not much privacy for the toilet and bathroom. Not curtains as sunlight just shine into the room from the bathroom. Sound proof was quite bad as clearly can hear what's the next room is chatting or from the walkways which easily got disturb from sleep. Overall the hotel I rate is 3/5 Great breakfast and location.

Well-equipped Hotel in a small town.”
The room was exceedingly comfortable for a small town like Luodong. The breakfast provided was satisfying, with very fresh and sweet fruits, especially the Taiwanese guava and watermelon. Location is very near the reputable night market, which we walked through and enjoyed quite a few bites despite heavy rain. Hotel is also very near a famous duck rice stall, ideal for lunch before leaving Luodong. On the whole, we had a great stay in Luodong.

Hotel near night market”
The hotel seems to be quite new, and it's just next to the LuoDong night market. there are only five parking lots available here, you need to park 2 blocks away if you the basement parking is full, hotel will reimburse on the parking fees. But given it's now so convenient to drive between Taipei and Yilan (approx. 45mins), we would rather stay in Taipei in future which will cost us less.

Pleasant stay with comfortable accomodation”
Family and I felt it was really easy to access the places of interest, which is quite nearby to the hotel. Night market is only a 3 minutes walk from hotel.Breakfast menu does not have a large variety but quality wise, it is surprisingly delicious. For those looking for hotels to stay at Yilan, this is personally my choice of accomodation due to it being a centralised area.

Only 2 mins walk to Luodong night market. Very spacious room with bath tub. When you enter the hotel, at the reception, there is a free flow of chocolates. Hotel is very clean and neat. Breakfast is delicious with a good spread. Staffs are helpful and friendly.

Hotel in Luodong Yilan”
The Japanese Quad room is large and clean. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom completed with a light heater which is good for us to take shower at cold morning. The sound insulation of the room is not so effective. Noise from passage can be heard clearly. Hotel is close to Luodong night market, within 3 mins walking distance.

Great location but lousy WIFI”
Overall, it is a good place to stay for a night in Yilan. Being just 1 min walk from Luodong night market is definitely a plus point. Breakfast spread is good. Room is spacious and clean. The only disappointment is the WIFI. I was not able to connect from 9pm onwards till the next day. When i contact the front desk, was told to go down to lobby for WIFI instead since they had restarted their WIFI and i was not able to connect. This is definitely something that I don't expect.
