Exceptional service and beautiful rooms”
Exceptional service with the most beautiful sunrise you can watch from the comforts of your bed. We had the pleasure of staying in both the sea tent and the bungalow which were each unique experiences. But the common points for both were falling asleep to the waves rushing against the shore and watching the sunrise. Point to note is that the bungalows are made fully from bamboo hence the room may not be insulated and the air conditioning may not be very cold. But that’s what being close to nature is. Service at Karma Reef were impeccable. From the meet and greet at the reception by Lorenza, to a detailed map of where and what to do on meno, staying at Karma reef is an experience on its own.

Amazing Snorkelling on offer, great location”
Our stay at the Reef wasn;t bad at all. I know some of the reviews harp on about the management being a problem, but we really didn't see anything other than decent people. The hotel is good even if it a little on the expensive side, but everything else is pretty cheap whilst you're there! The location on karma beach is ideal all the staff are great and very attentive! The room was ideal and the view was amazing ... Meno is quiet and beautiful - you can hear parties that happen on Gili air but we had one experience in the time we stayed here! Make the most of the snorkelling - you'll see turtles and manta rays is you're lucky! We would definately head back to Meno and would have no hesitation staying at the Reef again.

beautiful bungalows”
We stayed in a Bungalow and really enjoyed our rather large bamboo house! The staff were all friendly and helpful. A few items to note: The food was good, but not amazing and a bit pricier than many other restaurants on the island. We quickly learned that most services at the hotel were a bit overpriced. (everything is so cheap compared to the US dollar - but relative to other places on meno) The "hotel" layout basically consists of 10 bungalows, then the reception/restaurant and then the tent accommodations (the spa is also in a tent). The whole property is very long and narrow right up against the ocean with the main gili meno "road"/walkway running through it. There isn't really much of a beach (i.e. no sand to lay out on) but there are lots of comfy lounge chairs/beds right along the water and a few spots where you can access the ocean -- which is incredibly beautiful and crystal clear. We went to Gili Meno to get away from noise and crowds, but unfortunately with the lay out of this hotel there was a lot of foot traffic from other folks and locals staying on the island. No place was crowded per say but things weren't necessarily quiet. Our bungalow was also right next to the reception so it was often loud in the evenings with music or people at the restaurant. If i went back to Gili Meno i may want to try another hotel for a new experience, but the bungalows are quite impressive and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Rustic Love”
We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Karma Reef. I love the rustic feel of the bungalow. Special thanks to Lorenza for her impeccable service, Zacky for being helpful and Chef Wayang for going the extra mile for our vegan bee hoon goreng on our last breakfast at Karma Reef. The vegan bee hoon goreng was delicious! The vegan nasi campur specially prepared for us on our first day was amazing too! Thank for the beautiful memories!

Beautiful but noisy”
Our stay was lovely but as other reviews have mentioned, it is a very noisy resort being right on the harbour and the rooms having no insulation. The noise from Gili Air travels over to Karma Reef. We were kept up one night until 4am due the doof doof music coming from Air. It sounded like the music was playing from our room. Every word sung was clear as day. Also every morning all the local boats start up and they are extremely noisy too. The restaurant has very limited menu with only Mediterranean food as option. There are a lot of other Warungs to choose from though so it really wasn't an issue. The local people don't haggle so much either. Starting with good prices from the beginning and if you say No thankyou they are still happy and leave you alone. We will definitely go back to Meno but maybe not Karma Reef..... We will try somewhere a bit quieter next time I think

Great accommodations, fraudulent billing afterward”
The actual place was amazing for sure. The food was definitely good, albeit pricey, but if you're not a foodie you can save A LOT of money just a few doors down. The French manager was a really nice guy and all the staff took great care of us. The massages were overpriced and "ehhh" at best. There was only one woman also, so my girlfriend and I couldn't enjoy one at the same time. Save your money and get a Balinese massage on the main island, or about 3 for the same price. I didn't mind spending the money on the accommodations because it was a big trip for us and we decided to splurge in Gili Meno, and the rest on the island probably don't compare well, although I obviously didn't get a chance to compare. The accommodations really are lovely. A beautiful 2 story villa overlooking the ocean with a balcony - really nice. The biggest problem!!! I had a fraudulent billing charge to my card for $566.78 about 2 weeks after our stay. Not cool! It was billed to the resort. Pay cash if you're going there, or use a credit card and not your bank debit card! Although cash isn't convenient because of the price of everything.

Best choice in Gili Meno”
The stay in Karma Reef was really nice experience. It is not definitely the cheapest place to stay in Meno, but it is worth to enjoy.

Karma Reef stay”
Karma reef was not up to the standard of other Karma resorts that we have stayed at. The attention to detail and overall quality of service was not companionable. The Karma was lacking in facilities offered by other hotels on the island. Good but disappointing

Fantastic Service”
We thoroughly enjoyed out time at Karma - though it was clearly too short - we were greeted by big smiles, made to feel welcome with a half our complimentary massage and the chef bent over backwards to look after two fuzzy gluten free vegans - not an easy task! The manager went out of her way to be nice - highly recommended! (-;

Satisfactory”
The room was good, the food at the restaurant is amazing, but too bad the sea is quite dirty, it might be the effect of the rain, the waves brought trashes from Bali or Lombok all the way to Gili Meno, but I think they should clean it more often. It ruins the experience really...

A memorable stay. Great service and thumbs up for the staff!”
The location of the hotel is awesome. It's only 2 mins walk from the harbour. I booked a Seaview tent, but was assigned to a tent at the second row, where half of the view has been blocked by the tents in the first row. The water from the shower head in my tent was extremely slow and and the TV was not functioning. Fortunately the hotel staff was friendly enough to change us to a Seaview bungalow. The Seaview bungalow was excellent, but do expect loud music from the opposite island til midnight. And the power and water supply were cut off few times in a day, once during the midnight and once when I was in the midst of showering. The food available around the hotel is very limited. You gotta ride on a horsecart to those sunset view restaurants, which is about 15min away. Good things about the hotel is their staff are really well trained and helpful. All staff in the hotel would remember your name and great you every time they meet you. They do provide free bicycle, kayak etc.

Great Hotel with an awesome view”
Stayed there for 4 days. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. The staff is also very friendly and the restaurant is very good. You can rent snorkeling equipment at the hotel and jump right into the water to see turtles. The major drawback is that the sunset is at the other end of the island, but the sunrise is magnificent to watch with a cup of coffee, just step out of your tent at the beach.

Pleasant”
The hotel was gorgeous but not worth the money paid. all you get is a view. We arrived after 4pm and our room wasn't ready. When we got to our room the AC was not working, when I complained they sent someone who said it was fine. We spent a sleepless night in 32degree heat. I complained the following day and they finally repaired the AC. (With no offer of compensation) It was better but not perfect, but given the environment we were fine with it. The other negative was that no bottled water was provided. This was unreasonable as we can't use the tap water to brush our teeth! I was expecting better service, fresh water, a cool room and a nice mattress. We didn't get any of that. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We were very disappointed. In the four weeks we spent travelling Bali and the Gilis this was the worst hotel we stayed at...

Overpriced for what it is”
This was our last of 4 stops during our honeymoon, and was one of the more pricey places we stayed (definitely so if you consider no breakfast was included unlike everywhere else...). We emailed in advance (after friend's suggestion) to request one of the quieter "luxury" tents, which we had had confirmed, so were surprised when we arrived to find a mostly empty selection of tents, and that we had been placed in the closest tent to the Restaurant/Bar & Sun loungers/seating area. This was mostly a problem due to the fact that the restaurant/bar pumped out heavy bass music through both day and night (although never too late), and when the place was really quiet the staff would play on some sort of mixing desk, making it sound like a rave / fair ground! Unlike everywhere else we stayed in Indonesia the staff just didn't seem to care about our satisfaction. When we ran out of toilet paper (!!) and requested more whilst leaving the resort we returned to find it still hadn't been replaced- and had to return and request again. It was continual things like this, and one word answers that we found most unwelcoming. The facilities are just basic. Not luxury at all. Our TV didn't work, a critical bathroom light bulb had blown before we even arrived so we had to ask for maintenance to fix, and most frustratingly there were a considerable amount of power cuts throughout one day - a problem which I'm sure is very common for hotels on the island, and we didn't begrudge, but there was no mention of it, or apology. A simple acknowledgement would have softened the blow... the tents get VERY hot without air con! Finally the cost of the restaurant / bar / travel is unbelievable in comparison to the rest of the island. We didn't eat here once. We did get a bar snack once and paid more for it than we would pay for a mains elsewhere. And when we enquired how much it would cost for them to arrange our transfer back to Lombok airport we were quoted 1,700,000 IDR (and no doubt th

Too noisy for The money”
We expected a stay on The quiet Island Meno, to be quiet. However, there was constant hammering / rebuilding from early morning 6 o clock to late at Night, past 11. Chanting or praying nearby from a speaker, from AS early AS 5 o clock. The small Beach in front of The restaurant is more or less clean, but The streach of Beach in front of The "luxury" tents is unfortunately NOT kept free of Garbage. The porch of The tent was never swept and very sandy. When making The booking it Said that The staff would prepare The tents for The Night, This dident happen.

Booked 9 months ago, yet we had no room”
I booked this hotel as part of our 25th wedding anniversary. We tried to call the hotel numerous times once we arrived in Bali because my husband had to leave early and we didn't really have nough time for the trip to Gili Meno. They never answered to phone so we spent over $200 and a full day getting there rather than just forfeit our money for the room. Upon our arrival we were told there were no rooms because they had over booked! I booked this hotel 9 months ago and they didn't even have the courtesy to contact us to let us know they had no space for us. The manager did arrange for a room at the alternate hotel and bought my husband a beer but I was so mad I wouldn't accept a drink. He offered that if I came back in a few days I could have one of their "glamping" villas for free but I would not waste the money or the time to get there again not trusting that our accommodation would even be available. We wasted 2 travel days and had to spend the night in a hotel that wasn't nearly as nice. If they would have let us know, we could have gone to another resort. They ruined our last two days in Bali on our 25th anniversary. Unforgivable.

Soft Opening, but best on island”
We were only there at its soft opening, so there are some things being ironed out. Goods: Staff were exceptionally helpful, espectially the Aussie mgt team, Juan is really attentive and willing to fix any issues. Proactive workers. The bed was comfortable and the room authentic and stylish, clean and new. Its a beautiful place. Negatives: the aircon was too weak to effectively keep the room cool 22 - 23 degrees. our villa was behind a massive sign that blocked some of the beach view, orders take a long time to arrive, and the local mosque wakes you up at 4am every morning with islamic prayers, followed by the next door neighbours rooster which starts between 3 and 5 am.

Relaxing Getaway”
Great Hotel with outstanding food - staff is nice and the location is excellent. Would have liked more sand to enjoy the beach but it was almost balanced out with the beach beds provided. Overall a great resort to stay for a romantic getaway. Nothing much to do besides eating, sleeping and relaxing (some snorkelling too).

Stunning location”
Wonderful apart from what appeared to be disjointed management team. We weren't picked up at the airport (they were waiting at the wrong airport) and nobody wanted to accept any responsibility at all (even though we had copies of the emails), or give credit for the one night's accommodation that we missed while trying to find our way to the island. By the way, the contact phone number that Agoda has for the hotel is incorrect.

Luxury Hotel for couple ”
Pro : - very near the ferry terminal - beautiful view from the room - good hospitality from staff - clean Cons : - Air con not cold (we have given feedback to the staff, they tried to fix it but it did not work)- you might sweating in ur bedroom if you inside your bungalow/ bed room in noon time - noisy in the morning, since the location near the ferry terminal, you can hear the announcement since morning - no blind curtain, the bungalow facing the sunrise, if you easily wake up with light better bring the eye cover
