The hotel managers are very very nice people”
The hotel managers are very willing to help the visitors
For some reason, I book the room very late on the exact night of the check in. When we arrive actually there is no free room. The hostess refund me all the money and give us 2000 Yen to book a room in a much better hotel. Therefore we actually paid 7000 Yen for two people in a 4 star hotel room. People are nice!

Nice stay for one night.”
Not a bad price for Hiroshima. Standard was quite decent.
Not bad. If you are looking for not expensive hotel in city center than pick Kasuga Ryokan.

Weird. It was clean - that's the only positive...”
Leaving. Leaving. Leaving.
The man and woman owners seem completely unaware that they are being rude by not attending to guests whatsoever. When we arrived at 12pm the lady said: check in is at 4pm. That was it. When we got back from sigh seeing at 7pm we found another guest ringing the front desk bell - he had been for the last 5 mins to no avail. Finally 5 more mins later the man appeared and helped the other guest, disappearing upstairs to help with the guest's heater. The man owner came back and went into his house behind the front desk. We waited and waited for the man to come back. He didn't. So we rang the bell for the next 5 mins until he finally appeared and gave us our key. What was behind the front desk? Narnia? How could they possibly not hear us ringing the bell for that long??!! Anyway the room was clean. That is the only positive I can find. There were no bath towels. We went down stairs and *sigh* rang the bell again for another 5 mins, and gave up going to bed without showers. Do NOT stay here - unless you like being ignored. Oh yeah, we just left the keys at the front door to check out, no surprise that nobody said bye bye!

Excellent location but rather run-down”
fantastic price, free wifi
stayed here for two nights so that we could visit hiroshima and miyajima. for many travelers, the main draw for hiroshima is the peace park and a-dome, both of which are within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. the location is perfect for walking to these sights, and is also in a great area with plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores which will make you time in hiroshima super easy. it is also very convenient to a tram stop (< 5 minutes walk), which makes getting to the hotel from the train station really simple as well. we arrived about 2 hours early, and had to wait about 5 minutes because the person manning the front desk was out getting lunch (?) when we arrived and no one else was there to greet us. we were able to leave our bags while we went to get lunch and sightsee. although we were given a non-smoking room, the entire hotel is pervaded with the smell of stale cigarette smoke, and after our first night, it was clear someone had been smoking in one of the toilets on our floor. we stayed in a japanese style room, which was simple but got the job done - definitely nice that we had a/c and free wifi that we could access from our room! probably the biggest cons to staying in this place is that it feels quite worn and shabby, though our room was clean and had no obvious faults. another weird thing is that there is only one (possibly communal) shower room for the entire hotel, so we were glad that not very many guests were staying there, because unless you want to get naked with strangers, only one person can bathe at a time. i can't imagine what the wait would be like for the shower if this place were fully booked!

Great location and fun room”
The hotel was easy to find, around the corner from the Peace Park/dome/museum and 1 block from the tram stop. We were able to walk to most of what we wanted to do and could easily access the tram and train station for anything a bit further. The hotel's wifi worked really well, bathrooms were clean and the staff were kind. Our Japanese beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed having a teapot and cups in the room. Only complaint is that the room smelled a bit like smoke, but opening the windows helped a lot.
