Amazing amazing hotel!”
I stayed here for 2 nights with my Mum and we loved our stay. The staff were just wonderful; always there to help and really thoughtful. I have stayed in many hotels in Kathmandu (some much more expensive) and have not received the service that we did here, smiling faces go a long way. The manager was extremely friendly and the young boys who were in the kitchen and on reception were amazing, always smiling and genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. The hotel itself is a unique building with a variety of different rooms. We stayed in 1 of the rooms near the top and had our own entrance to the roof top which was a bonus. Throughout our stay we had hot water (which is very unusual) and our bed was very comfortable. The only problem we had was finding the hotel but the best places to stay in Kathmandu are those on a backstreet....the only way you can guarantee a quiet nights sleep. When I return to Nepal I will certainly be staying at Kathmandu Boutique. I highly recommend, you won't regret it!
Excellent”
Kathmandu Boutique Hotel is actually closed for about the next month (they are doing some renovations). So, the owner is putting its customers in one of his other hotels, called Happy Home. This is an excellent deal because Happy Home is a more expensive hotel, so I really got a bargain. My room here is large, quiet, has fan and AC and a great hot shower. You get a big breakfast on a lovely roof-top balcony and the staff are fantastic.
how pretty hotel is it!!”
1. breakfast Every day staff cook breakfast for me. and each meal was so delicious. and I could drink tea many times.Even I waked up so late, they cooked breakfast so If you stay in Boutique hotel you should try breakfast maybe I think everyone will like it. 2.Wi-fI before i came to Nepal, I worried about Wi-fi. but you don't need to worry about this problem. because this hotel Wi-fi service is very good. Speed is fast. 3 room Room is enough space for me to stay for 5 days and staff keep room clean. and they gave me towel. any facilities is good. so I could stay comfortable for 5 days. 4.Staff The best point is staff. Every staff is very kind to every guests and every time they give us smile a lot. And if u wanna go some sightseeing place, they can arrange the trip tour. Price is acceptable. I asked them to arrange to go to Nagarkot. on the way to go to Nagarkot, I went to bhaktapur. arrange was so good. Manager Mr.Success may be kind to you. they treat us as one of family member. he can speak English well so If you are involved some trouble, he help you a lot. Hotel location was so good because to go to durdar square, it only take 10min. And hotel is located in Thamel. And around hotel, night is so quiet so I could relax here.
Value for money. Helpful staff. Good location away from busy streets of Thamel.”
I stayed here before and after my trip to Pokhara. The staff are very helpful and they can be your walking tour guide. I was fetched by the hotel manager from the airport together with his driver. They were able to fix and arrange my bus trip to Pokhara even though I arrived late at night. When I came back, airport pickup went smoothly and I was really impressed with the driver this time (I forgot the name). He also drove me to Bakhtapur and temple hopping in Kathmandu. He is really well-informed and he said that he was driving for 5-years now. He knows almost everything I ask, from current news, their government up to their tourist attractions and history. I can say he's really well-informed. Location is just a walk to Thamel shopping area. The good thing is that, this hotel is situated few meters away from the Thamel road which makes it peaceful and quiet. The garden is indeed a relaxing view which is not normally present on some hotels I passed through. Definitely will book again. Thanks to all the wonderful staff. They even gave me a souvenir scarf for good luck. Namaskar!!!
Quiet Oasis in a Busy Dusty City”
We turned off he main dusty road and were instantly inspired by the traditional Nepalese facade of the hetatige building that is the Kathmandu Boutique Hotel. We much appreciated the staff who greeted us with warm smiles and delicious Nepaliese style masala chai! The nature of the building makes for some interesting room layouts but the 3 different rooms our group occupied were clean an comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there so much we decided to stay there again after our trek!
A place like no other”
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are willing to answer all your questions. The rooms are spacious and organized. The rooms are very clean. They have strong WiFi Internet inside the rooms and the common areas. They are strategically located at Thamel, the backpackers' district of Kathmandu. Grocery stores, restaurants, travel agencies, souvenir shops and laundromats are all walking distance from the hotel. A real value for money!
Much to Offer”
The staff are friendly and very helpful. Some of your travel arrangements can be done at this hotel as well. The Internet worked well, A heater is available in the room. The TV has several English channels. The hotel is located in the main tourist area in Kathmandu.. However, the hotel is quiet as it is a couple of blocks away from a main road. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast which includes some options.. The hotel restaurant has a diverse menu for lunch and supper. There is also a wide variety of restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. Ten minute walking from the hotel is a local bus station from which buses go to and from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur which has the must see Dunbar Square. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. I will be going back in two days on a different segment of my trip..
I would always stay here”
This place has the finest ambiance in kathmandu valley. It is one of the best to stay places in Thamel. Having close proximity to good food, shopping and entertainment. It is the best place one can get. I really loved the rooms, as they represent the tradition that Nepal embarks upon. The staff are very courteous and would go to any extent to make your stay comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay here.
Very helpful and cordial staff”
Great location, a walking distance to Thamel and other touristic area. Very helpful and cordial staff. Great value for money for a 2 Star hotel. I recommend this boutique hotel to others, just power and hot water hopefully can be improved in Nepal.
Wonderful Hotel located close to Thamel with helpful staff”
Couldn't have asked for anything more. Hotel was tucked away down an alley a short 15 minute walk to central Thamel. They offered free breakfast and coffee, cheap bottled water, and very decent rooms for the price. I was forced to upgrade to a private bath room due to overbooking, but the price was inconsequential. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in KTM. Extremely helpful staff who can help organize travel or adventure in Nepal.
Cozy historic building full of character”
Spent the last night of my Kathmandu visit in this little hotel in a quiet alley which is only a few steps off a main street. Am glad that I did. The Nepalese architecture of this building is really interesting, with each floor having a slightly different layouts. I took the rooftop unit with a spacious bathroom and was delighted to have the rooftop to myself where I can read and fully relax. One note though is that you need to walk up one level of spiral staircase to get to the rooftop, if you are not ready for this, my recommendation is to take the lower floors… Overall, the place is clean and service is good. Good value for money and will definitely return for my next visit!
The best hotel in Kathmandu in all levels .”
i cant describe with words how was my experience in boutique hotel... Besides being the most beautiful hotel, an ex king palace, also has gardens, its like a little paradise in the middle of the city... its tucked away yet its super central. the manager, gurung its awesome, also the staff its beyond loving, Ujwal and Bhimsen... amazing, the breakfast its super good, they serve u teas and coffee when u need it, water also... i felt like i was at home... and now they are all my friends and in my heart... i come back there in a heart beat, and i recommend it to everyone! an amazing and true unique experience! and on top, the value its super great, not to be missed at all!
Well decorated and cozy room. Great service. ”
I stayed at 3 low cost hotels during my vacations in Thamel and this is the best so far. Really well decorated rooms. Clean and cozy. Beds looks new and clean. Staffs are great. Friendly and speak good English. Neighborhood is quite and not dusty like other parts of Thamel. Great value for money.
Favorite place, like home”
I really enjoyed my stay! By the time I left I felt like family. The staff and owner were very attentive and accommodating to my needs, providing welcoming tea/coffee and always smiling. They provided any help that could be desired. The hotel is full of charm and character, the beds comfy and warm, and the garden is peaceful. Their place is a short walk from Thamel, off the street, and quite. They have a wonderful guard on duty. I always felt safe and happy. I even came back with friends and stayed again after my trip to Pokhara. my friends really enjoyed their stay as well! I love these guys and will defiantly be back again!
great place to stay and really family environment ”
I stay here about 4 night and it was really great I stay here. Staff are really friendly n the environment was really quiet to stay. It's only 1 minute far from Thamel but definitely nobody will regret their stay in this hotel. I will recommend all of my friends to stay in this hotel. Fast wifi nice n tasty breakfast great masala tea love this hotel so much next time I will definitely stay in this hotel in my next visit.
Excellent Hotel”
This hotel is a unique in the middle part of Kathmandu with it's garden. The staff is helpful and kindly. Theirs suggestions are correct and responsible. They could offer special programs for anybody. We suggest this hotel you are sure you can find to meet with a warm reception and familiar atmosphere.
Very nice hotel ”
I always stay here when I'm in Kathmandu. The hotel is located in a small, quiet street near Chhetrapati Square and has a nice, little garden, where you can relax and enjoy a good breakfast and a cup of tea,. The staff is very friendly and will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I would recommend the rooms with an integrated bathroom since the shared bathroom is on the roof of the building.
definitely good stay & location”
Regardless of how much u paid, this room definitely 5 star room. At here I feel safety and comfortable. The location is good, not in the middle of busy street, no noise when sleep. And no worry, it is definitely in thamel area. Can start shopping when step out from hotel. Facilities all good, hot shower & internet working fine. Very good stay and sure come back
Overall, quite good hotel”
Good value for money. Staff is friendly and helpful. This hotel has a pretty garden where you can have breakfast or just relax. The only downside is that they didn't guaranteed my room and sent me their another hotel on my first day in Kathmandu even though I booked a room for two nights and fully paid in advance. That was quite inconvenient to move to another hotel at night and come back in the early morning next day. However, I know I won't be able to find a better hotel at the money I paid.
Amazing hotel but very pushy staff”
They upgraded my room for free, which was very nice. Location is nearby Thamel shops. They have hot shower, which is very important for winter months. What I didn't like was that the staff was trying to get me to go on their tours several times. They were aggressive when I refused. They said why I am "like that"? They wanted to add me on Facebook so that they can keep in touch me. I said no, and they got aggressive once again. Nice hotel with unprofessional staff.
