Enjoyable Stay- Will Stay There Again”
I stayed two nights. The room was fine and the staff was extremely helpful- in every way. As someone who has been living in Asia for almost two years and done a lot of travelling in the region, this will be my "go to" place in Yangon during off-season. I am still reeling from sticker shock over Myanmar hotel prices- I do not plan to go there during high-season.

Clean and confortable room.”
The amenity goods in the room were, shampoo & conditioner, soaps, towels, dryer, TV, free wifi internet(slow), fridge(water & beer inside) Plugs' shape was B3 type. No phone inside a room. A stuff ironed my clothes for me. Orange juice, Sliced fruit(changes evey day), 2 toasts, 2 eggs(choice of 3 cook) and tea/coffee for breakfast. The system of the hotel was not really good, but the stuff were flexible and nice, so forgivable. 1. I made a reservation through internet(agoda), but they don't use computer. They use inn resister note. So they didn't have my reservation. I've heard the same stories from the other guests. I could have a same room through 4 nights, the other guests said they moved to another room from 2nd nights. 2. I needed some information around the hotel, so I called 2 weeks before my visit. The stuff said she was going to email me for the information, but I'd never got it. Some information I got on the same phone were wrong. 3. I stayed 4 nights, and asked morning call for 3 morning. Someone knocked the door and woke me up 30 minutes later the time I asked, nobody woke me up the other 2 mornings. 4. I took a bottle of water from the fridge. But they thought I took 2 and they charged for 2 waters. A bottle of water is cheap(500 kyats) There are some problems, but I think they come from their culture. The stuffs are nice and tried to fix, so I felt the problems were small and they were not problems. They have a friendly young cat.

comfortable stay with average price”
i have stayed 3 nights in late august. original i just booked for 2 night, since i have arrived one day earlier and the reception was helpful. i stayed on the top floor, single room. although there is no window at the room, but i can stay at the common area just outside my room and there are great view around the area. the room is clean, comfortable and the wifi & A/C work well. among the expensive stay in yangon, i recommend this is a nice location to stay. although it is one of the low cost inn, the environment and room is quiet ok. the location is near to several teahouse/ restaurant. it is also possible to take bus to the city center (the bus stop is around 5-10 mins walk from the hotel, just keep on say "sule" to the bus staff, 200K only). for coming back from citycenter, generally cost 2500K, and 5000K to/from airport. but if you coming from the airport, it might be better to ask the Inn to arrange a pick up service, or the airport taxi is quite expensive to take. overall, it is a good stay, and i will definitely stay here again next time.

Guesthouse Kaung Lay Inn ”
For one night in Yangon the perfect stay. It is a guesthouse, not a hotel - as imagined, but better. The deluxe room was spacious, bathroom a bit broken but alright, breakfast perfectly fine on a nice little terrasse.

family-run hotel”
Our stay will be perfect if hotel fixes the water pressure and provides a hotpot (instead of requesting boiled water). We have to take cold bath because the cold water pressure is too low and the water temperature was not controllable. We had similar problem at Hotel Windsor of Yangon. Taking shower seems to a luxuary item in the two hotels that we stayed in Yangon.

Authentic Burmese style hotel”
This is a perfect hotel for its price. Rooms are very comfortable w/ the smell of teak wood. In the morning you'll hear the chirping of the pigeons from your room. Breakfast is good, staff are friendly and they take care of guests well. Staff speak good English. Near public transportation.

Nice, clean enough”
I stayed in this hotel 3 nights with my boyfriend for the first time. I think the standard is higher for the hotels in Yangon. It's in a quiet area in Yangon north, 5 mins driving from shwedagon paya and 10 mins walking from the lake. The staff is really friendly, the design is nice, made in wood with a traditional style and there are a couple of nice common areas. Our room was a superior with a view on the small garden, nice and clean. The only negative things were the shower with just boiling water or cold and the towels, i don't know if they were dirty or old but they were full of yellow spots and when i asked to have a fresh ones they gave me others that were the same. Apart from this i would come back in this hotel again. Breakfast was good.

I would stay there again”
We stayed here twice in transit in and out of Yangon. I did like the location--on a quiet side street. They have a lovely small "courtyard" with lots of pretty potted plants. The lobby is a bit tight (small)and dark, but you don't have to spend time there. It is not very close to the downtown area--we walked downtown and that took over an hour--but I would stay there again.

Great staff”
I have to say that I benefited from a huge "Insiders" discount, so that made for a really good value for money. Please note that hotels in Myanmar are overpriced, so it is hard to get value for money unless you get a good deal from Agoda. The staff has the kindness and hard working characteristics of the Burmese people. The women are petite, self-effacing but strong like an ox when comes time to carry your luggage up 2-3 flights of very steep, Burmese style, staircases. Because of poor quality supplies, the free breakfast is sub par because the bread tastes like paper and the butter like something I can't find a name for. When the petite self effacing server comes to you at your breakfast table and you see her lips moving, she actually says "tea or coffee?", so just tell her your choice.

Price is right, but you get what you pay for...”
I only stayed there to get some sleep and clean up. Hotel did the trick from that perspective. Rooms are clean and bathroom more than adequate, however, i had to climb 3 steep stairways that were slippery and wet to get to my room. Once in the room, it was fine. Internet signal was good but there was no password in the room and no phone...given slippery steps, it was just easier to not use the internet. Really a great deal for a backpacker or budget traveler...just ask for a lower level floor and you should be good to go.

Good place to stay in, but no free drinking water, why? ”
I liked the hotel, location is quite far from downtown, but there is a mall about 10 min walk and also it is easy to reach everywhere by taxi anyways. The rooms are clean, made of wood and have nice design, spacious. The breakfast is good, but very basic for Myanmar standards. Also what I found strange is that they don't give complimentary drinking water as almost all (99%) of other hotels in Myanmar and other close by Asian countries. In the end I find it as a sign of greediness. So for these reasons can't put excellent rating for hotel and service.

Quiet and comfortable but a bit out of the way”
A pleasant hotel but it us a long walk to the main sights in Yangon so you will need to pay for taxis. There was no airport transfer as advertised and staff spoke very little English. We paid $45 in low season because we couldn't find anything else online. We felt this to be very poor value for money

If not for the receptionist, not good value.”
Prices of mid-tier hotels in Yangon (including those claiming to be) are not value for money given the demand. My toilet could use some renovation especially as the glass shower door was broken and missing its lower half. The are frequent power-cuts in Myanmar and when the power goes, you;ll need to go back to the reception to get the power back on. The receptionist spoke good English and helped me book my coach trip to Nay Pyi Taw the next morning. She even woke up at 5 am as that was when I had to leave to catch the bus. This hotel is not too far from Shwedagon Pagoda; probably 20 mins by taxi if traffic is not at its peak.

Clean, well-priced room ”
We had booked a superior room in advance, but as we were two friends travelling together we preferred a twin room - and found on arrival that the superior room had a double bed. We were given the option of choosing a standard twin room instead, which was a bit small - but still clean and fine for a couple of nights. The staff in general spoke good English and were very helpful. The breakfast was average - but OK for this type of hotel. It was easy to get a taxi to and from the hotel.

Clean, comfortable and accommodating ”
Very accommodating.when I accidentally booked a single bed for two, they brought in a mattress and made up an extra bed. Very comfy, clean and relaxing. The building really feels like home and the staff were very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. Good English-speakers as well. My favorite place to stay in all of myanmar.

Individual hotel, nice rooms, good place”
The stay was nice, despite of my arrival. Although I announced a early arrival (4a.m.), the reception boy was sleeping very deeply. It took me twenty minutes until I could wake up another tourist by bouncing and shouting loudly at the door. He woke up the hotel boy who opened the gate. So if you come early or you want to go out late, you should better choose another hotel. If you are able to get in, it is a very nice, comfortable place, with indivudal rooms, good standard. Wifi is possible. The reception area is smelly, because they are sleeping there at night :-)
