Great Experience at Kaw Kwang
We are three young Canadian girls backpacking around Thailand. This resort was probably the best value for our dollar we've got so far. The resort was very clean, the pool was amazing. We stayed in the basic cheapest room that was still attached to the lobby so the wifi worked in our room which was great! They give you free bottled water every morning which is another added bonus. The food was awesome.... A little bit more expensive (70-200bht) but it was very good and filling. The location is great because your at one end of the beach so there's nothing beside you which keeps the noise down at night and it's only a few minute walk to get to any other resort or restaurant down the beach. The resort was FULL of couples. I'm pretty sure we were the only people there that weren't in couples but we still had a great time relaxing before heading on to the rowdier destinations of our trip. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

We would come back here!!
We loved staying here!! The bungalows are a good size with great aircon. There is no safety deposit box in the rooms which is a shame but you can leave some valuables at reception. The pool is lovely and the beach is one of the nicest we've seen in Thailand. Clear blue water and when the tide goes out there are lots of little crabs which are fun to watch. The resort is a little further out of town so you need to take a taxi in and back, but it's feels nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. The food in the resort is really tasty and there so much fruit for breakfast!! If you want to relax in beautiful surroundings with a lovely pool and beautiful beach with you own little bungalow to sleep in then stay here!!

Just an okay 2 stars resort with a pool on the beach
It's just an okay bungalow resort (not really a resort, just the resort is beachfront with pool). The photos of the resort online make it look much bigger/better than what it is. Breakfast buffet (paid or included in booking rate) are awful. They can't even make proper fried eggs. The beach infront is alright. Not that nice. But it's a long curvy beach. An okay view, but not outstanding like Kan Tiang Beach further down the island. Staff are generally very nice and helpful. Pros: -on the beach (not the best beach) -swimming pool (smaller than what you see in the photos) -not far from ferry dock -friendly staff -quiet Cons: I won't return here for a few reasons: -can't really walk to town strip or beach strip for foods -breakfast is terrible -foods at the resort restaurant is pricey -resort has no decoration vibe whatsoever. very outdated. if you're into "vibe", this place won't give you that -no safety box inside the room -overpriced for the quality of the hardproducts (ie. old outdated bungalows, old furnishing, outdated lobby, aircon not working well --we switched two rooms and both have terrible aircons) Best suited for family or "grown" adult travelers looking for quiet and peaceful time. If you want easy access to some other beach bars and multiple "local" price food places, this place is not it. Just the pool and the bungalows with beach view that are good. Only the bungalows on the first row will get beach view (extremely expensive rate obviously).

Nice resort with quiet beach
Everything would be great if only the toilet would flush correctly. Though we complained several times and the staff came to repair it, it just wont work correctly. Other than that, the resort is cute, staff is friendly and helpful.

snorkel straight off the beach, very helpful staff
great snorkelling straight from the beach; dinner right next to the sandy beach; cute bungalows
I had a small accident while swimming after sunset, got caught by coral reef and stung by sea urchins. The staff had been helpful in suggesting ways to treat wounds, the hotel driver was always ready to take me to the medical centre for treatment. Appreciated all their helpful assistance. Went back to the same spot to snorkel the next morning, it was perfect. So close to the hotel beach, yet so many big corals.

Quiet Location
Location Food Beach
Great place for peace and quiet. You need to walk about 20 minutes to more restaurants if dont have transport. We found all the staff were friendly and stayed in the Modern Room with fantastic views of the beach. . Breakfast was great and the restaurant for dinner was fantastic. We ate in front of beach with beautiful views. Overall great place to stay would recommend the Beach front rooms .

Too many flies in restaurant & stagnant water in fish pond
I was surprised that the hotel had no way to reduce the number of flies in the eating area such as sticky traps or electronic devices. The water in the fish pond adjacent to the eating area was stagnant which is an attractant for mosquitoes.

Nice place to relax with the beach front.
1. The Location 2. The Beach 3. The Chalet
Love this place, it is quite and relaxing with the lovely clean beach. The water is shallow and clear It is away from town or shops/restaurant. You would need a transport but that can be arranged. We came here with our own transport and we can roam the whole island on the land The chalet room is reasonable size and bathroom is sufficient only. Not luxurious. The room facility had lacking of basic needs like the a kettle to make coffee/tea. I think this must be included. Overall I would recommend this place to my friends.

A corner of paradise....
Gardens and pool. Staff helpful.
This is my 3rd stay here. I book a garden room and it is just OK, but the aircon works good and there is a big window that lets in a lot of light, not like some Thai hotels......if you want privacy, the big curtain is fine. The gardens are full of nature and very beautiful. The downside is one night it rained and there were creatures in the ceiling, making a bit of a racket, but only that one night. It is a little out of town so a scooter is a good help. The drivers in Koh Lanta are fine and the roads are good. My favourite part is looking over the infinity pool to the beach...... I only ate breakfast there as the restaurants in Saladin are soooo excellent.....just dont expect brand new furnishings in the room....and enjoy!
